How ironic would it be if Magic's God cards were stronger than YGOs? (More specifically, WotC's printed versions versus Konami's.) Certainly, a White God with the right abilities could easily outclass the official version of Ra.
It's not that hard to outclass the official God cards in Yu-Gi-Oh because they are heavily priced with a strong return. In Magic though they are a lot stronger than in Yu-Gi-Oh because creatures have to attack other creatures in Yu-Gi-Oh before they can attack players. Even then though, Legendary Eldrazi > god cards of Yu-Gi-Oh.

My vote is totally in for the god cards having Morph.
I like this idea. There's a lot of tension in seeing that measly 2/2 and worrying that it could be your opponent's one out in a certain situation. Then again, it would have to be a larger part of the set and not just the "God" mechanic.
I liked the yugioh "god" cards. They each had their own unique cost to play. I don't know why people are so disparaging about magic copying ideas from other games. Do you not want to play with neat new mechanics even it their origin is another game?
Way off. Totally different words and origins completely. They'd only put that out of ignorance or to troll us. Nix- Germanic for no. Also a fish goddess. Nyx- goddess of night and Greek basis for the word night.
Oh look, more of the never-ending Yu-Gi-Oh comparisons we've seen for every new thing since even before the 8th Edition card face change was announced. What an exciting and new development!
I wish my 4/4s with haste and first strike that acted as Goblin Warchiefs were better and didn't die to instants and overshadowed all other 4 drops in the format. And that they had evasion too, and some way to dodge wrath effects.
I just hope these new gods won't be 32 manas and just EDH playable, they already will be legendary and there is another commander product (nice......) and there was dragon's maze with a lot of legendary crapness, I just hope we get some nice gods that will be playable through formats like legacy , vintage or modern

Aren't Eldrazi playable in Legacy and Modern? Costing a lot of mana has and never will mean unplayable in non-sanctioned formats. I for one hope the God's are absurd and over the top like the Eldrazi.
Everyone knows that good luck and good game are such insincere terms that any man who does not connect his right hook with the offender's jaw on the very utterance of such a phrase is no man I would consider as such.

Yes yes, but they are colorless, which is meaningless since they play with Show and tell or sneak attack, my whole point is that I don't want them to be something like:
Gaya, Forest guardian 4GGGG
When Gaya, Forest guardian enters the battlefield creatures you control gain +3/+3 and trample until the end of turn.
When Gaya, Forest guardian is put into a graveyard, draws a card.
4/9
I hope they will be as awesome as eldrazis were too being monocolored is already a good start IMO
we got gods cards before thus i don't know why the complain about gods in mtg ( we had alot of them before---Kamigawa---Progenitus----Eldrazi---- Karona----Shadowmoor/Eventide) maybe its because they are being called god?

LOLOLOL... Totally didn't think about that.
As mentioned, it could be fixed with Indestructible,
but it does seem a bit more far-fetched now.
It just seems like they would look great without mana costs cluttering up the new frame.

By the way, only the upper part of the frame changes, the lower is the same.
That could helps slow the game down a bit because then you choose do you attack your opponent or their 'God'.
Maybe he can transform and fight as a creature on your battlefield, then go back to being a god, kind of like in EDH.

It isn't Yugioh, because Yugioh doesn't have god cards. They have Monsters that are Divine Beasts that they just nickname gods when referring to them.
We have Nephilims, Eldrazi, Kami, etc that are all also called gods like they call theirs gods. No difference.
