Yeah I noticed it too, I was surprised the to see the spoiler had cards added to it so I checked it out, some planeswalkers and shimmering grotto...no problem, but then I noticed mutavault and there was no confirmation for it in this section of the forums.
I know, Right! I am super pumped and somewhat scared! Wondering if they will do new "Sliver" like art with it. Was just talking to my buddy about it. It is really cool and will REALLY help push packs of M14 for sure! Wonder if the Vault will drop significantly in price!? Wonder if I should sell my 2 off while I can.. hmmmmmmm
Can we stop spoiling cards in the N&N crunch now. This happened before too and people had no idea why cards were added to the spoiler. Spoilers of, especially major, new cards should have this own thread, not buried on page 23 of the N&N thread.
Tk confirmed this
also he was right aboult Maze's end soo its kind of confirmed
Think aboult it> WotC is pushing M14 (scavenger ooze + Mutavault + new chandra and new garruk + slivers + some pushed MR)
Everyone will buy a box
Do people expect Mutavault to go up or down in price due to this reprint?
I'm guessing down, but by how much? I really need a set of these for my Modern decks, so I am glad they reprinted it.
Down by a LOT. Morningtide was hardly-drafted and MV was a rare under the old rarity system, whereas M14 will open a ton of packs and many non-myhtic rares will be added to the supply as a result. Mutavault will likely be a $8-10 card.

I agree with this.
$15 tops.
Alot of core set gets opened. And having Mutavault will just mean more will get opened.

I agree with your price assessment but not your memory of Morningtide. Of the 4 sets in that block, Morningtide was by far the most purchased. Even after Eventide came out, people were still buying more packs of Morningtide. That cards in that set were just amazing!
But yes, price way down. Core sets see a lot of purchase ever since M10 and the addition of unique cards and the check lands.

$8 - 10 sure?
people will want Mutavault casuals will buy to play slivers some will play it in control and human tribal
i really don't see it droping to bellow $20
The demand for mutavaults are still high. It's used across all formats. But with it being in a base set, the price will go down. I am guessing the $20 range once things even out. Unless tribes are a big thing in the Theros block.
Keep in mind that M14 will only be drafted for a short time, so this can effect value as well. However, if it's a rare we may just see it brought into Event Decks like they did with Thragtusk.
Even then, we've got a card everyone wants to get a hold of, can be played in every deck archtype, and is played in older formats. If I can get these for $20, I will do it, and quickly. I can't imagine we won't see them sell less than that until it rotates or gets another high profile reprint.

I would agree with this if I did not see Grim Lavamancer, a card every single aggressive red deck would want as a 4-of in most formats, drop to $2 after being reprinted in a core set. Shocklands dropped to about 1/3 of their pre-RtR pricing points, and I cannot see this bucking the trend.
And OK, maybe $10-12 is more accurate. Thragtusk was probably the most popular card in Standard at one point and commanded a $15 price tag. It also only appeared in M13 and no other set.
Everybody focuses on the tribal flavor of Mutavault and forgets how great man-lands in general are. Any aggro deck that can afford a land that taps for colorless wants this as an extra threat, mana sink, and sorcery speed dodger.

He's not saying that Morningtide wasn't buyed. He said it wasn't drafted. And indeed, as soon as Shadowmoor was released it stoped being drafted as Shadowmoor was drafted by itself.
Nice. My friend was banking on it being printed at Mythic. Now to see if where Thoughtseize winds up...
If Thoughtseize is in M14, it can't be mythic, since we've already confirmed the existance of Liliana of the Dark Realm, Rise of the Dark Realm, and Shadowborn Demon as being black's three mythics for the set. So it'll end up being a rare, because I don't think WotC would want to bump it down to uncommon.
On topic: I'm not so sure Mutavaut will go down to $8-10. While it'll definitely be printed a lot, it's still an extremely powerful card, and I'm pretty sure it'll see a heavy amount of standard play, which will drive up its demand, and thus its price.
Honestly, after it not being reprinted in MM and slivers returning in M14 it was pretty obviouse it would be in M14. The minute Mutivault was eliminated from the N&N crunch it was obviously going to be reprinted in M14 based on the comment made by someone from WotC (can't remember who) about things not being printed in MM and being in later sets. It makes too much sense for them not to do.

Ah, point well taken. I had not thought of it in terms like that! I agree then. Dang 4 block sets lol
There's also the "I paid too much for this" effect. Mutavault will never be cheap as it would be if it were a new card, because people who paid premium price for it for Modern but don't want now/anymore won't sell, they'll just hold the card, since it will definitely rise again long-term (it's going to be a Modern staple forever unless banned).
I predict the floor for this card to be $15, if not more. $20 is more accurate, actually. Keep in mind that we have way more players now than when Morningtide was released, so the demand is also higher (and the print runs have been increased but not in the same level).
The price of MutaVault with it being a rare in a Core Set will depend on the playability/popularity in Standard. If it's used nearly as much as Thragtusk, expect a ceiling of probably around $20. If it's not splashed everywhere similar to Thragtusk then expect of ceiling of probably around $15.
It's an instant speed 5/5 trampler for 4. Wtf do you people want seriously? It has applications in populate/ above the curve beats decks, or in Bant control/ flash. I seriously think anyone mad at this card for any reason other than losing an attacker to instant speed wurm, should go home and make their own awesome card game and leave the rest of us alone.

I mostly agree with you. I don't think it's crazy to expect it to go down to $15, but I also won't be surprised if it maintains a $20 price tag.

Considering that it's a colorless man-land that can activate for a single mana, I'd be shocked if a whole variety of decks didn't play it.
