Card that I see (because I use it) most is hellhole flailer. A 4/3 for 3 mana that can fling himself. He gaurentees that I have a turn3 and a turn4 play in my AIRakdos deck I play for fun at FNM.
And I play madcap skills. So potentially a 7 damage fling.

I totally agree with this right here! A friend of mine runs a playset of those in a Rakdos deck of his. With one of those coming in unleashed, followed by Desecration Demon I'm in trouble. Not including the smaller weenies played on T1 and T2. It's a mean card.
In my experience I've found Drogskol Reaver to be a bit satisfying. He is a 1-of in my Esper control deck that I have been drafting up and I gotta say, the moment he hit play he was more useful to me than aetherling. Aetherling is hard to kill, and more suited for enemies with chump blockers, but Drogskol Reaver not only prevents them from attacking profitably, but he can be a nice aggressor as a 3/5 Flier that hits for 6, and lifelink.

I play the Desicration demon in my UB control deck as a low costed finisher. Everyone has to read what he does. Only GB rock decks play him. I really don't know how he isn't a 4of in a lot of other deck.
Goblin arsonist. He not a finisher but he really underestimated and I ran him with a lot of success when I didnt have Stromlirk Nnobles. He will exchange with x/2s all day and gives you a little recourse against removal when enchanted or equiped.

I'm only speaking from experience here, but I've never seen anyone with blue and red in their deck use Mercurial Chemister at all. I know, he's a 5-drop who dies to Searing Spear, but darn, if he survives then that's a cheap Divination on a stick. I put two copies in my Grixis control/tempo deck and it's worked out great so far. I can dig for answers like a maniac with that thing

When I came back to standard Desecration Demon is the one cheap creature that seemed too good not to make a deck out of. When I last played before coming back I made a BR Control deck that crushed FNMs which ran abyssal persecutor so i wanted to give it a shot with Desecration Demon. I noticed Putrefy was back and had been watching Jund matches and saw farseek so decided to make a mostly BG deck with a splash of red.
Whats even better than dropping DD on curve is dropping him on turn 3 after a Farseek turn 2 especially on the play. They have 2 lands in play and you have a 6/6 haha. I then put in 4 Putrefy, Abrupt Decay, Dreadbore and a ton of other removal. Paired alot of removal with nighthawk and some other creatures and it was ok for just a coming back to standard and magic deck for FNM.
I'd say Staff of Nin fits the bill too. I don't think I've ever seen it played, but I've been able to take over games with it.
Played with a BG deck pre rotation and I never lost a game where I played it. OFC I didn't play it if I needed to do something else at that point in the game.

Probably because a lot of decks don't want the dead draw against Aristocrats and mana dorks. GB Rock puts so much value on the board that the curve DD is backbreaking, and the deck is designed to mutilate in any board state.
Whispering Madness. Card is amazing. Can mess up any control decks plans, and generate huge card advantage when played correctly

Desecration Demon + removal can be nasty, but I find he has issues if players can make tokens, then he ends up removing tokens and doesn't block for you. I have mixed feelings about him.

No idea because my favorite decks keep getting banned or having the rules changed against them

I'm down with that. It's even more disgusting with Ral Zarek in a deck that prolly wants to play Mizzium Skin. You can even play four copies of both, since you can discard the excess. If the color combination gets a little more help, I can see it being a thing post-rotation.

This guy is pretty amazing in the right deck. I think it will definitely see more play after rotation in some kind of UW control deck.
Alot of decks just scoop if you play him on curve

Cash? Credit? Gold? or Jace?
Im going to have to disagree with this. I feel that there are much better cards in the RTR block other than this.
I personally think Desecration Demon is underplayed.
I think he meant block constructed, where jace is a powerhouse.
This card has taken me to multiple top 16 finishes at WMCQs and PTQs this year. That card is amazing, only held back by pillar of flame.
Not sure why this card doesn't see play, Vindicate on a body? Only thing he won't do much against is board wipes, right? That's what Obzedat is for!

Once hellrider leavesm raiders should see more mainstream play.

The card requires you to build around it in a big way, but when it catches your opponent out it really catches them out.
2011-2012:Bantblade, BantPod
2010-2011:Bant Shaman, Naya Shaman, Naya allies + Scars, URG Turboforce
2009-2010:Naya allies, Mono-White Titan Control
Thats why you kind of have to run him with Mutilate or some other mass removal that doesnt kill him like gaze of granite and then theres mizzium mortars or golgari charm
