To both Silver and Void: I am not saying that I think Tom is not town.
You're both reading stuff that isn't there.
I don't know Tom's alignment and I don't have a strong enough 'not town'-read on him to lynch him. I'm not lynching a possible vig if I'm not sure that isn't what he is.
And neither should you.
Uhg, I hate double negatives. They make what is normally simple to understand not so easy.
If Tom is not exhibiting the Town behavior that you are use too, then what logical explanation would there be? For you to say "I don't have enough of a 'non-town' read to lnych him" after saying your double negative shows an inconsistency within the same post.
For the sake of everyone in this game, what is your current read on Tom?
Rhand, did you look at my case on Tom?
I did read your case. There's nothing in it that explains why Tom is not town.
It's a summary of his posts with a conclusion at the end that comes out of thin air.
I'm torn on Tom's alignment. As I already said, a possible explanation for Tom's different play is that he doesn't know how to play the role he got.

Way to ignore Tom's behavior this game.
I'm starting to think that Tom may not be the Enchantress because of Rhand's last post.
To elaborate a bit: I've been suspicious of Seppel ever since he breadcrumbed vanilla by saying he was trying to get nightkilled (on the phone and in a hurry, can dig up after v/la).
I didn't pursue that because there might be pr-reasons to want to get nk'ed, but apparently he was just setting up his lie.
No -- not in the least! He was directly responding to a player directly referring to the fact that everyone is a PR in this game...and if Seppel scumslipped there, the implication is that he didn't realize everyone is a PR in this game. It makes zero sense.
I'll humor Rhand for the moment because I think I may know what he's referring to (I'll try to find it), but even that elaboration is far-fetched.
I agree that Macius is probably scum. If he is, Asenion is scum too. And even if he isn't, Asenion is looking more and more as though he's scum regardless.
Guardman feels like Guardman. Have I ever played a game where you were scum, Guardman?
Stormblind has the fewest votes of the three wagons. IMO everyone voting Stormblind should switch to Macius or Asenion. I am willing to cross wagons to hammer Macius, but I'd rather lynch Asenion.
Stormblind: Why did you expect you would die, and why did you expect TMCT would die?
I did suggest having someone organize a kill on me, and have TMCT. End result of a top townie suspect dead or the mafia having to burn a tonne of resources to just kill tmct, AND me dying.
I suppose that's consistent but I'm still unimpressed with the idea from the beginning.
What does the "whatever" mean in the post where you vote me?
It means I'm giving in and going with Seppel.
You have a repeatable daykill and there's another vig in the game. So I'm saying screw it, Seppel seems pretty sure and he also seems bored enough to probably be town, maybe you are an SK.
This game has a secret autowin button anyway so long as we lynch one more scum.
Which puts us right back to Tom again, in my mind. I find it incredibly hard to believe that there could be 3 killing roles + the scum NK. I can believe a lot of things, but that pushes it IMO.
BINGO!
So, TMCT, what is your *actual* role, how did you block the NK, and why are you certain the NK was blocked?
Also there cannot be two scum teams as the OP pretty well states it's Lucian, Lich, Knight as the scum and the Enchantress as the anti-town neutral.
I'm unsure of why exactly Seppel claimed vanilla, but I want to chime in and note that it is possible that Seppel is telling the truth -- or some degree of it, as I am also almost-vanilla.
I see Tom's placed another naked vote. Why isn't he dead yet, exactly?
Quote from Wheat »
I vote Tom shoots Seppel and we lynch Tom.
This feels like insider knowledge. Why are you so certain that Seppel is town, Wheat?
Tom
I still have not seen anything from you about your DK despite at least 3 players requesting this information. Stop handwaving the question and at least tell us you won't answer the question about your DK or tell us everything about it.
I'm actually finishing my reread and my massive notes on everybody, so I'll lay out some general thoughts soon(tm).
About WG, I'd say his last couple posts plus Seppel's minicase warrant the unleash of Tom's Justice upon him. I'd like to see what he has to say about it.

There's no degrees to being vanilla. Either you are or you aren't.
Also, what's with the sudden halfassed claims? Do we want to out our strong pr's?

Rhand, it would wise for you to go and read Boardgame Mafia. There were several roles that were labeled as "Near-Vanilla Town" because of a game mechanic. Your modgaming and that is not helpful.
The point is that you don't claim to be vanilla, however weak your role may be.
Seppel didn't claim to resemble vanilla, he claimed to be vanilla in response to me saying that there are only pr's.
That can only be a lie.

If you have an ability that has probabilt of firing that is less than 5%, what would you call it? (Random percentage, but that what it felt like in Boardgame Mafia). So for anyone to claim a peusdo-VT role is fine. Your reaching for the stars and failing epicily.
Bolded: Or it could be a gambit to out scum who is not paying close attention, like yourself. To say it "can only be lie" is someone who is trying to push for what is not an easy mislynch.
Seppel would not make that mistake. Even if Seppel was drunk posting he wouldn't make that mistake. He has over 50+ completed games on this site alone. A mistake like that would be astonishing and I would still have a tremendous amount of disblief that Seppel slipped like that.
Would you believe it to be a slip if it was someone else doing it?
Why would Seppel want to tell me I'm wrong about the everyone is a pr part of my sentence by claiming vanilla when he has an ability, as small as it may be?
Would you believe it to be a slip if it was someone else doing it?
Depending on the context and experience of the player, yes.
Why would Seppel want to tell me I'm wrong about the everyone is a pr part of my sentence by claiming vanilla when he has an ability, as small as it may be?
That's somethiing that Seppel would have to answer. I don't know his role.
Tom

"he" meaning WG or me?
I meant WG, but now that you are here, feel free to answer it as well if you don't mind.
I meant WG, but now that you are here, feel free to answer it as well if you don't mind.
I voted him for being serious about his Seppel vote and then making his ludicrous suggestion.
Looking back at his previous posts outlined by Seppel I'm even more happy with my vote. Seppel quoted 7 posts, and in the first two WG is wrong about literally everybody (except for Stormblind who hasn't flipped yet, though I don't like SB either). In the fourth he shows how he doesn't really give a crap about finding real scum and just goes with Seppel. In the fifth he is fishing.
I see the general tide has turned against me. I would like, if such a thing occurs, not to be shot by Tom until I can claim. This is more for his benefit than mine.
I let Iso get away with that once, Seppel. I'm not about to let anyone get away with it again.
What game are you talking about here and what bearing does the similarity have on Seppel's alignment?
Starcraft Mafia, Iso lied about his ability in a really obvious way. He was scum, and he pruned off the parts that didn't make sense, so everyone backed off. I think Seppel is doing the same thing by lying and saying he's vanilla, and then saying it was merely trolling.
Plus I never mentioned it before because the OP corroborates the fact that an anti-town neutral exists, but I have had a very soft alarm bell ringing from Seppel's SK hunting.

"Very soft alarm bell".
You need to die. You are my strongest read and we have 7 or so days left.

I'm torn on Tom's alignment. As I already said, a possible explanation for Tom's different play is that he doesn't know how to play the role he got.
Because I don't think we should be modgaming in a 'everyone is a PR'-game made by Iso. Anything is possible.
What prompted this?
Way to ignore Tom's behavior this game.
I'm starting to think that Tom may not be the Enchantress because of Rhand's last post.
Can we lynch Seppel now?
Unvote, Vote: Seppel
I will be v/la again from friday until the 4th or 5th.
Rhand's last comment as in the one where he said "because I don't think we should be modgaming in a 'everyone is a PR'-game made by Iso."
Rhand and Wheat, do you seriously think Seppel scumslipped there?
I didn't pursue that because there might be pr-reasons to want to get nk'ed, but apparently he was just setting up his lie.
Do you?
I'd like you to answer this before Seppel responds to the accusations (if he even does )
Hahahahaha.
This is the type of bat**** insane logic that can only come from a townie.
Rhand, you're ****in hilarious, man.
But seriously, I defy anyone to be able to call Rhand scum after this.

+scum for Wheat though.
I vote Tom shoots Seppel and we lynch Tom.
lol
D1
D2:
D1 he's incredibly scummy, early D2 he reads legit, and now we're back to scummy.
I see Tom's placed another naked vote. Why isn't he dead yet, exactly?

Yeeeey naked unvote
Anything else to say, KK?
How do you feel about WG?
@Tom: If I missed the part where you're town, please point it out.
About WG, I'd say his last couple posts plus Seppel's minicase warrant the unleash of Tom's Justice upon him. I'd like to see what he has to say about it.

I am okay with a lynch on Stardust, Seppel, Rhand or Tom. Tom leading the pack.
What do you have against naked votes that warrants my death?
Also you didn't answer my question in 913.
What question?
"he" meaning WG or me?

Early D2 I caved and added my vote to yours as a bloc. Why do you consider that the only townie action I performed?
I'm voting for Seppel, I obviously don't think he's town.
