I live in Coralville, Iowa, adjacent to Iowa City. I live well out of the affected area, but my favorite Magic shop didn't fare as well, as you can see. It's about halfway down the little strip mall.

Oh damn, I was wondering if they got hit. Do you know if they had enough time to prepare and get their stock to safety?

Thankfully, the water seems to be going away, albeit slowly. The shop I play at has been carrying a rather odd funk due to wthe water that got in. They had some forewarning and got the potentially damaged goods to higher shelves.
@Leilani: Did you by chance see the intersection of 116th and Janesville during the first major rain?
Went down to visit my parents in Pewaukee today... the roads were clear except in the village proper, where Pewaukee Lake is still covering one of the main streets. Earlier the village had parked plow trucks in the water there as improvised breakers, because the waves were getting pretty bad. The streams and creeks everywhere are still nearly two feet above their usual level.

Love. Forgive. Trust. Be willing to be broken that you may be remade.

I know, right? Wisconsin must be a magnet for people who are interested in Magic...
Actually, no I hadn't. I was in Kenosha visiting my boyfriend that weekend, and only found out about the freeway exit being closed when I tried to get off the freeway on that exit. The rest of the flooding I heard about through Facebook and whatnot.
Why, was it completely under water as well?

I know it seems that I don't care, but something in me does I swear.

Thankfully there was at least some advance warning to give people time to prepare. They were able to clear the inventory out, though things like tables and chairs had to be left behind.
The store in question, to keep this from being nonsense to most readers, is Critical Hit Games in Coralville, IA. Their forum page has updates on the situation as they become available.

I have a friend that lives further up 116th, at the top of the hill. He said that some of the mailboxes at the bottom were only a few inches over the water. There should be some pics from his dad, I'll see if I can get them scanned in.
