Question I'd rather budget supporting this next month rather than this month - when do they charge for Kickstarter and do they ever cut off pledges early?

No they won't cut you off the thing runs until it runs out but they only authorize the charge to make sure it will go through.
They won't officially charge the card until the thing hits 100% and the kickstarter ends.
If for some reason the kickstarter stops at say 600 grand no one gets charged a cent.
The only reason they authorize it right away is to verify you have the funds to prevent someone from donating 10 grand then not being able to pay off for example.
Right now the average donation is a whopping 55 dollars this thing will be fully funded if it holds that average within a few days.
Good good I prefer digital for use but the $75 donation looks most appealing to me but would involve a going over budget for currently and shuffling cash around. (I do like having donation promise as personal reminders of the good I've done - and beta access never hurts)
Video cuts out near the end not sure why his videos rarely have any errors like this.
When I saw the video in my Youtube feed, I knew it would push it over the edge. They only need about 160,000 more to meet their goal. They could easily get that today now that the Cynical Fleet is behind it.
They've managed to hit $1,000,000 in just over two days. Once they hit 1.5 million they'll add Mac and Linux support. With a month left to go, I can see that as a definite possibility.

I assume the Mac and Linux support will be after launch though. I would be surprised if they can make a 2013 release date with all 3 platforms supported.
They have even discussed IOS support but guarantee the game won't be designed around the touch screen controls.
I am blown away that the highest reward tier 10 thousand dollars is already sold out 8 people snatched that up fast.
I know of three people who pledged that much, Notch, Cliff Bleszinski, and the Razor CEO. That still leaves 5 people who put in for $10,000 bucks. If I was wealthy I would've done the same. Just happy it's getting made now.

One of the eight is the CEO of Razer - he said he hoped that the $10,000 donation would help him atone for pirating the original long ago, heh.
LOL that's some refreshing honesty.
Makes me muse maybe going higher even being that I did the same...
