Liking that rule on breaking RVS Rhand. I hav learned something new today. Oh, that and the fact the RVS stage here is a pissing contest that hasn't given me much to go on.
Do you guys always follow the same format in every game? Cos the last two I looked at here is an RVS of a voting frenzy followed by paranoia at every post coming out of RVas.
And if I say RVS one more time in this post, I win a prize from Iso!
........ RVS
RVS means Random Voting Stage, so yes, we randomly vote until someone gets paranoia
Anything else in the thread you would like to comment on? If I had two votes you would get my second one now for not providing content.
What do you mean by "too quickly"? Why are you so insistent that it goes at a set pace?
I mean we don't want the Day to end too quickly. The game doesn't necessarily have to go at a set pace, I just don't want us to get ahead of ourselves.

How do you think content is generated? Randomly from thin air? Your decision to fence sit and not hunt is scummy as hell
Not sure how not having any questions to add is fence-sitting. You can tell my motives after two posts? You must be one hell of a mafia player.
Saying you are waiting for questions and information to happen in front of you is the opposite of scum hunting, asking questions and inquiring. The point that you would have waited for a case to be made by others that you aren't going to be involved in is the sitting.
I think you might need a refresher course in psychology. The questions I might have wanted to ask had already been asked, and I was waiting for information from them. What sense does it make to ask the same questions twice?
I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.

Actually Che... I've just read through your posts and all you've done pretty much is instantly start attacking Polski.
I think you might need a refresher course in psychology. The questions I might have wanted to ask had already been asked, and I was waiting for information from them. What sense does it make to ask the same questions twice?
You're trying too hard.
Might have wanted? You mean that you didn't really want answers?
You missed my question. What questions in particular did you want to see answered?

Wrong usage for the word might. I might have asked, but the questions had been asked already. I even said in the very next section that I was waiting for information from them.
As for the questions, they were Toms.
1) Elaborate on what you mean by "quite legitimate" please.
2) Why are you defending Rhand's actions?
If you think I'm not looking for scum, you're quite mistaken. Asking questions is obviously the most direct route, but the ultimate goal is simply to gather information to analyze. I'm gathering a fair amount of information through this.

Well if you were a productive townie you would ask something else, how are you helpful to the team if you let others do all the talking and you sit twiddling your thumbs?

Is there a reason for this?
That's how mafia works. When someone does something scummy, press for it. Why would I not want mafia to feel pressure? If town feels pressure they won't crack because they have nothing to hide.
And I also applied some pressure to Rhand. What have you done this game so far?
I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.

Don't know if you do this here or if you consider them a waste of time, but fos che Guevara and polski while I try and determine which of you is more likely mafia.
this is what I'm talking about in case it's more insignificant than I think.
unrelated- what time would everybody say the chatting picks up every day? I hate reading blocks, it's easier to follow as it happens.
It means that Generic is suspicious of Che and Polski but not enough to vote one of them.
How do you read the situation?
unrelated: It's hard to tell. We're in different timezones. Chatting is kind of rare; most of the time you have to wait a good while for someone to respond on your posts.
iRebel- votes mist rvs, comments on che and lenk, very brief posts
Mistshadow-votes polski rvs, claims to be fly on the wall, small poke at che
Generic-random poking at rhand, breakdown of rhands question, says because of the argument btw che and polski, one is likely scum(i agree), reads ches response as overreaction(scummy) and votes che
SharkFinnigan-rvs silliness, sees che's answer to generic as scum, votes che
Polski-rvs vote shark, unvotes fresh out of rvs, decides the game is progressing too fast for taste?,pokes at che, then after some back and forth with che votes che
LenKenneth-rvs votes rhand(3rd vote) to some ending rvs, causes debate on why some want rvs to end sooner rather than later, immediately backs out of vote
Che Guevara-rvs votes rand, discusses end of rvs, attacks polski then votes polski for "not contributing", after prodding from generic responds with an answer that is enough for generic and shark to think him scum
Rhand-rvs votes generic, still in rvs quickly unvotes, votes polski claiming it should make him "generate some content", says "just poking wont yeild much result" to generics statement about making people dance for him, asks generic for his take on the 3 votes on him

........ RVS

the only scummy thing that has stood out so far is three votes on the same person in RVS.
I'm sorry, but that's just not scummy at all. 3 votes in an RVS is extremely common, 4 isn't terribly rare, and I've even seen 5 a couple times. And that's only for 12 player games.
1) 3 vote are quite much. It's something to start talking about, that's what I meant.
What's the significance of three RVS votes? They're not important. Unless you think they should be. Do you have any reason to think they should?
Obviously, I didn't find 3 votes very significant or I wouldn't have put my vote on someone who already had 2 RVS votes. But Rhand did find them significant and - as I said - I can accept it as a reason to start discussion.
That's how mafia works. When someone does something scummy, press for it. Why would I not want mafia to feel pressure? If town feels pressure they won't crack because they have nothing to hide.

Well there is a lot of stuff to come across now, quite a bit of content out there, so I'd like to see you post more thoughts about the goings-on.
I'm sorry, but that's just not scummy at all. 3 votes in an RVS is extremely common, 4 isn't terribly rare, and I've even seen 5 a couple times. And that's only for 12 player games.
To be clear, these numbers of votes were all on the same person. And it just occurred to me that I have seen a 6er in a 12 player game too. But even when it gets up in the 5 and 6 range, nothing is specifically "scummy".
This attack is weak and feels forced. Mistshadow (can I call you MS?), what do you feel is scummy about being insistent on games going at a set pace?
I'm happy with my vote on you.
Call me Mist please, that's my preferred shortening of my name.
Also, looking back on that post now, I realize that your statement about the attack is correct. My apologies for the inexperienced scum hunting on my part.
I do have a question for you, however: Can you give me your full reasoning for voting me? In particular, what parts of my posts did you find scummy?
A FoS in itself isn't scummy.
It's when the player flips scum that a FoS points to possible buddies.
It is when you can vote someone who isn't close to a L-2 and apply pressure, as well as getting involved with a wagon. Scum try to fly under the radar and not voting but saying you *think* someone is scum, is avoiding getting your hands dirty.
No scum player puts their neck out early game when there are so many possibilities for a day 1 mislynch.
Che has conveniently been less vocal since his lean on me backfired, but he may just not be on so I will wait to see what he has to say before I go further.
I post outside of a US timezone so please don't think that because I don't post while you guys are that I'm not being vocal. I post here everyday.
Unvote, vote Polski

Contradiction part 1.
So more defense of Rhand. Got it.
This is a bad vote, and reeks of forced aggression. It was not "scummy as hell".
Who got paranoia this game Rhand?

I'm happy with my vote on you.
Yes, it is called using "meta", and generally not a great tactic for lynching scum. It is used to get some general feelings but is never concrete.
Why are you voting ikslop here? Your "fair enough" exchange seemed concluding to me, yet no unvote.
Contradiction part 2.
The only thing I can see in Che's quoted post that could possibly be construed as self-awareness is the part where he remembered what he did.
Yeah, weakest attack yet if I'm understanding it correctly.
No it doesn't, that's 100% WIFOM.
