After scrutinizing Voxx's post and seeing where he's coming from, I can understand most of it. His townreads are coming off as true townreads (even though I'm sketchy about the Cythare townread). Cyouni pointed out the lack of commentary about LoT and Killjoy.
With Voxx quelling me, I'm able to commit to LoT now.
Also: is everyone just glossing over my case on Voxx?
I'm pretty sure I responded to it, but if I didn't: You're seeing things that aren't there. You're pretty much going in thinking "this guy is scum" and then making up reasons that support that instead of actually reading what he's posting.
It reflected negatively on you, which is hard to accomplish in a PBPA. Your towniness had decreased by 5%.
I started reading the thread without many pre-established views on people, and decided who to pursue based on the notes I had on everyone when finished reading. Voxx had the largest number of scum notes and no town notes, so I chose him.
I didn't have a read on Voxx before the reread, apart from the conversation with Rick that I disliked.
So that's not it. I must just be bad at assessing posts if my reads are so far off.
For the record, the people that come out as scummiest in my notes are Voxxicus > Anaklusmos > Killjoy > RobRoy > Swishh > Rick Santorum.
I'm not on board with lynching LoT.
That post starts out good, but the way he did a reread to give everyone a place and just puts all the people that he didn't take notes on in his "scum must be one of these" pile rubs me the wrong way.
Also, the way he puts Robroy in the town pile with RobRoy: "RobRoy interaction with Captain feels semi-genuine. Hum. Okay." seems off.
If I had a semi-genuine read on someone as my only read, I would not remove him from the possible scum.
Rhand has been doing his best ever since the Captain interaction to destroy the strong townread I had on him stemming from that.
Still think he's solidly town, because I can't see Rhand/Captain/EtR all being scum together, to say the least. But man.
I guess I'll address the 'wanted to lynch LoT for having a similar view that I had' thing.
I don't have a great explanation for that, other than my gut reaction to that post was that it was horrible and I wanted to set him on fire.
I don't exactly give any thoughts to what my own posts read like to other people, and was kind of thinking out loud regarding Eron a bit later. I think it was later, anyways. My thought process at the time went like 'Not sure if they're both scum and he wants to try and get lynch off Eron, while still getting town credit if it goes through, or if LoT is scum and still wants the lynch to happen while making it seem like he has doubts to be more town'.
Which was where the gut 'maybe we should just lynch LoT instead' reaction came from immediately after the post.
The only thing that gives me any pause about the LoT lynch at the moment is the cluster of people that are voting for him over EtR.
I'd like an updated vote tally I think, with things in chronological order if possible? Or I can not be lazy and do it myself, but I have to head out here in a few minutes.

It's the way he kept going at you while at the same time repeating how he thinks you are town. It felt like two scum trying to take distance without incriminating each other.
On page 8 of 12. (50ppp)
I have some very strong reads at this point, very few people in the middle.
Also, forgot I replaced in for Lennon so I have some notes on how scummy I am. Sick life.
Well, I'm getting pretty much left out in the dust - I said by the end of the weekend and that failed. -sigh-. Alright, well, I might as well throw some thoughts out there before I get prodded.
Void: I was actually inclined to question a bit more, was pretty suspicious of being scum. There are lots of townreads on Void now, and from reading through a lot of them, they seem to make sense. When I get more time I'd like to write up my own reasons for not being entirely on-board with that.
EtR: I was originally raising an eyebrow at Seppel abandoning the EtR cause, but his replies do feel pretty real to me. But, we gave him a huge chance to make some statements and maybe he's taking us for a joyride, maybe he's starting to really try hard to make us believe that he's town. He didn't remain defeatist which I think is the main point here, and he hasn't exactly relaxed once the spotlight was off of him, which works well in his favor.

LoT: Seems like the most appealing wagon, but I'd like to see him post first before making any actual conclusions. I probably will go in depth with my own claims here once I get the time for the alleged superpost I should make.
Voxxicus: ...I don't even.
Rhand: Has always been in my eye even though Seppel tried to guarantee he was town, I'm still not entirely sure. I'll have to trust the lot of you that say he's solidly town from [x] and [y] posts since I'm not too sure how to make the distinction myself. I'll learn I guess, maybe I'll re-read for real this time and figure it out. It's probably something really obvious too.

Btw, I always encourage people to NEVER WRITE POSTS IN YOUR BROWSER. As someone who frequents two Role-Play forums, writing posts in browsers in the reply box always ends up to be catastrophic. I was going to make some catch up posts, and post reads and analysis of each player, but after that speed readthrough, I'm just going to dump post numbers with plusses and minuses next to them. That is, I'm still at work, and have a lot of stuff to do, but we have a deadline in less than a week (and I'm incredibly busy this weekend) so I'd like to put forth as much as I can when I have time.
I'll happily contribute more when I'm less busy, but I think LoT is scum and is the best lynch for today. I don't think that EtR is a good choice at all, his play later on is very genuine and I can see how the mindset from his earlier posts can be reconciled with being frustrated.

Soo... Voxx is mostly making sense, and even with the forum eating a post and him having to recreate it, I'm not sure scum would just ignore the main point against them while making a huge post. WIFOM, obv, but I don't think Voxx is a reasonable lynch right now.
Kill-joy is bothering me, but there really isn't enough there to hang him. Void has bothered me, but is making sense right now. Swishh is confusing me. ganderin_dan hasn't done anything that makes up for my suspicion of Cythare, but I'm not ready to lynch him.
Overall, I think that leaves me on the LoT wagon for today, mostly as a result of 474 and Cyouni's analysis of it. I haven't seen a stronger indication of scumminess from anyone else in the thread. By my count he is currently at L-2, so I will hold off actually voting for now, but I am ready to.
@Wessel: In post #327, you said "Also, Seppel, if you're a town dayvig, setupwise it's unlikely there would be a Serial Killer. So no need to fear me."
This looks to me like an attempt to imply that as far as your alignment is concerned, the only options are SK and town. I know that most people wouldn't want to make a post insinuating that they could be scum, but in reality, as far as other townies are concerned, anyone could be scum. So, basically, if this post isn't an attempt to subtly imply that the only options present exclude you being scum, why say it at all? In other words, if you weren't trying to manipulate people into believing that you can't be scum, what were you trying to do?
This reads like someone who is scum is writing it about town without saying that they are scum.
I don't know. With Hitler being town, flavor gaming is nearly impossible. Also not fun. I don't know if the claim really changes anything. I won't unvote, as I'm still pretty certain we've caught scum. We'll see, I suppose.
Also, Seppel, why am I on your scum shortlist? Is it my low number of posts? Is that generally considered scummy?
The uncertainty about voting and tone of the post does not jive with being "pretty certain we've caught scum".
These last few posts from EtR feel so sincere, I'm a little afraid of the outcome of this lynch. But in a sense, EtR himself is keeping my vote on him. He's right in saying that we have no other clear suspects. Certainly nobody with a great case made against them. The only thing in the past few posts from EtR that I don't like is him saying that it would be okay if I died, but I think that's just because I don't want to die. I'm not sure what my point really is here, as I've been drinking a bit tonight, but mostly I just wanted to put it out there that the last few posts from EtR are making me a bit nervous.
Feels forced. As if he knows what Eron's flip will be but doesn't want to let on that he knows. Also, if you're THAT uncertain about the alignment of the person you're voting for, you probably shouldn't be running them up for a lynch.
He needs prodded, and needs to claim - if the claim is something we deem worth keeping him alive for, we need enough time remaining in the day to determine an alternate course of action. And not rush a speedlynch through.

Basically this. Franklyn being misspelled but Roosevelt being accurate strikes me as odd. (Roosevelt being the harder word to spell.)
Basically this. Franklyn being misspelled but Roosevelt being accurate strikes me as odd. (Roosevelt being the harder word to spell.)
Is Roosevelt that difficult to spell? (Maybe I'm biased because I'm Dutch and it's a Dutch name.) Anyway, it only confirms that LoT didn't look too closely at his flavour. I don't think he lied about being Churchill.
Anyway, I'm just going to wait to hammer because [I will explain later].
Perhaps? I would think that Roosevelt is harder to spell if for no other reason than the sheer number of times I've seen "Rosevelt". Beyond that, I'm willing to believe his name claim, but I don't believe his alignment. It seems strange that he would be so careless as to make that misspelling. /shrug
I think it means that Gan_Dan believes I'm almost confirmed town because Tyzmo(sp) attacked Lennon. I wouldn't personally assign "almost confirmed town" status to someone based on such weak reasoning. It seems to me that Dan's telling me that I am not playing as "townie" as he would like. This being the second time he's called me confirmed (or almost confirmed) and I don't like it.
Seriously please stop spelling my name with an 'a'. I swear to god I'm to flip if one more person is too lazy to do something as simple as reading. Isn't that what this game is about? So why is my name so goddamn difficult?
You are disrespectful beyond belief and utterly ignorant. Don't frogging spell my name wrong ON PURPOSE. On accident once or twice in the beginning is fine; i'm new here, but when I made a point that I prefer my name to be spelled correctly, I didn't expect to see people be complete *******s about it.
YES. IT IS THAT BIG OF A DEAL. Just get my name right. Seriously. Not that hard.
Now if we're done being incoherent children?
I have a lab to cram to show part of it to a professor tomorrow, two other labs to work on and two programming homeworks due monday. Until then...
For the record, I don't care about capitalization really - it's nice if you have it but 'jey' works just as well in my book. Just don't use an 'a'. Seriously.

I led Britain against Hitler during WWII, was friends with Franklyn Roosevelt, and now must lead Britain once again to victory.
I'm willing to lynch him. If he didn't actually provide any commentary on the gamestate in that post, after not really posting for a week, I can't imagine he's going to.
Vote: LoT
Basically this. Franklyn being misspelled but Roosevelt being accurate strikes me as odd. (Roosevelt being the harder word to spell.)

Perhaps? I would think that Roosevelt is harder to spell if for no other reason than the sheer number of times I've seen "Rosevelt". Beyond that, I'm willing to believe his name claim, but I don't believe his alignment. It seems strange that he would be so careless as to make that misspelling. /shrug
You are borderline confirmed town. Please behave as such.
What does that even mean?
I think it means that Gan_Dan believes I'm almost confirmed town because Tyzmo(sp) attacked Lennon. I wouldn't personally assign "almost confirmed town" status to someone based on such weak reasoning. It seems to me that Dan's telling me that I am not playing as "townie" as he would like. This being the second time he's called me confirmed (or almost confirmed) and I don't like it.
How townie do you believe you are being this game?
As townie as I ever am.
I just happen to be bad at this game.
Until then...

and now it is you who isn't doing anything helpful
and I will do what I want, which is currently "delay rereading because this game is boring."
And I don't know why you are being such an ******* this game, but cut it out please.
