You can't vig me please read the game. If you are going to be wrong about everything you post theoretically, at least be knowledgable of the game state man.
Furthermore it makes no sense for me to side with mafia in lylo, I need to side with whomever I give baubles to.
Also sense the cat's all the way out of the bag, the baubles are wooden starfish. I'm not sure if this means anything to the flavor, but I'm sure Guardman can key me in.
All I know is you are from Clannad. I haven't got around to watching it yet.
Here's the thing Guardman: They are probably lying to us. They have no reason to tell the truth and simply need to convince us to go along with whatever thing that seems innocent long enough for them to win. Maybe it's neutral, maybe it's helpful, or maybe they make us lose. In case that wasn't enough, a fairly high percentage of Neutrals turn out to be scum anyway.
It's very rarely in our best interest to help Neutrals and even then, we can't ever trust them. Life isn't fun when you are a Neutral, but that's not our problem.

You know nothing about the game of mafia.
@Town: It is actually probably in your best interest to ignore this guy.
@DH: I am not working against the town, but I am working against you, as I can only assume someone who has no desire to discuss their bad mafia theory but just spouts it off at every turn as if they have any tangible sway (seriously, who are you?) is actually more bane to the town than boon.

Just because they are lying doesn't mean they can't be helpful or at the very least ignored.
Part of the game is to know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away, and know when to run. Neutrals need to be analyzed for their usefulness and threat level. After that sometimes you realize it is in the town's best interest to help them.
I believe Kpaca's counter claim. I don't think it reeks of cultist, however. All we have to do to "test" his claim is for someone to volunteer to receive a bauble and crosscheck if it is a "wooden starfish". If there's any funny business it'll be hard to hide.
I agree that ignoring them is usually the best. Neutrals claiming Day 1 might be good for them, but it isn't necessarily good for the Town.
I'm beginning to get a scum vibe from Guardman, but I don't know his meta very well and I will admit that disagreeing with me often feels scummy. I may go silent for a while and let everyone else analyze what's going on.

Because when Void starts a game as scum, he's cautious and tries not to tread on any toes too soon. Here, he plunged headfist into scumhunting, and appears way off-base with his reasoning. Plus his tone when he plays as scum is waaay different. This is town Void.
Nah, I don't think that argument follows. An emoticon is practically nothing! If the wording of the post had contributed to your read, sure, but just an emoticon? No. That isn't even worth anything as a jumping off point.
Also, your statement on Iso is clearly not logical, unless you're suggesting that the mod didn't randomize alignments.
Megiddo currently has a random stage vote on Prophy, meaning he still has his vote. The fact he just FoSed Aud is bad and seems like he doesn't want to be connected with an attack on aud.
My theory: I think it's because Proph and Meg are scumbuddies. I know as scum, I've sometimes casted RVS votes on my buddies as a subconscious distancing thing. Also, Megiddo's experience with me as town was in Homestuck, when I killed off 2 scum by Day 3 - meaning Megiddo respects my scumhunting abilites and felt that if a wagon took off on Proph from my initial push, he could get town credit for it, and didn't want to move his vote in the event that my push on Proph went somewhere.
I believe Kpaca's counter claim. I don't think it reeks of cultist, however. All we have to do to "test" his claim is for someone to volunteer to receive a bauble and crosscheck if it is a "wooden starfish". If there's any funny business it'll be hard to hide.
Why do you refer to it as a "counterclaim"? If you think it's a counterclaim, why aren't you voting Seppel now?

I was going to duplicate my claim from Basic #64 and claim to be a self aligned SK that uses electricity to fry people, but with two apparently serious self aligned claims already, I think I'll go ahead and skip on it.
Had I noticed this game started yesterday though, I was 100% planning to take my claim from Basic #64 and repeat it here, modified only to reflect this game's flavor instead of that game's. Had I done that, I wonder what today would have been like with Seppel and kpaca trying to claim Self Aligned after me, even if my claim would have been patently fake.
Anyway, onto the thread...
Why does everyone assume that Seppel was telling either an entire truth or an entire lie? Is it not possible that Seppel really is looking for AlienInvasion, but not for friendship, but so he can kill them tonight? I see no reason to doubt that Seppel is looking for AI. But I also see no reason to believe it is with good intentions.
Overall, I don't like Seppel's claim. Not one bit. He's made it clear that, even if everything he said was true, he's still a threat to Town. He'll happily vote anyone, even if he is convinced they are Town, if it will help him live to the end. The closer we get to LyLo, the bigger of a threat he becomes.

And what happens when you lose after everyone has received a starfish?
Why do you think he's unkillable?
IT'S BECAUSE KPACA'S ROLE WOULD BE TOO DIFFICULT TO WIN AS IF HE WERE KILLABLE.
Holy crap just think about role theory for a moment and realize that it makes no sense for him to be unkillable if he can win with mafia or town.
Why does everyone assume that Seppel was telling either an entire truth or an entire lie? Why would AI claim that then? Clearly he is looking for me too. Otherwise he wouldn't have said a thing. AI is a smart player and would not have tied himself to me otherwise.

You do realize that lynching me will hurt the town's chances of winning, right?
And if you promise to lynch Kpaca within the first three days of this game, I'll townside.
So two claimed neutral parties, one of which Deaths Vampire severely doubts, and lot's of kpaca-posts. Megiddo is apparently scum, since both Iso and kpaca thinks so, but I can't entirely grasp why.
I like kpacas posting. I think I'll trust him for a while. Guardman as well.

Last time I did the "counterclaiming a similiar neutral claim as neutral survivor on day 1" it was Goo mafia and Stormblind was the SK.
No, StormBlind had the exact same role as you in Goo, except you were competing with one another to have a majority of Goo of the same color as yourselves.
That said, setting aside the relevance of Goo color to the setup, your role as claimed here seems to be very similar to your role in Goo, with the significant difference of you needing to endgame here but being fully unkillable rather than having a set of abilities you can use based on how many Goo converts you have.
I believe both Seppel and kpaca are telling the truth. kpaca's role character doesn't seem like the type to win alone, and we can always lynch him if there aren't any scum left but the game isn't over.
@AsianI: Are you Seppel's buddy or not? If not, what do you think of Seppel's claim? And if you are Seppel's buddy, are your alignments known to each other?
My role PM makes no note of my partner's alignment. I do not need to find her to win the game, but doing so will apparently lead to superspecialawesome things.

Is there something wrong with voting Megiddo at this juncture?
I have no problem with your vote against Megiddo, but at this juncture, I think Seppel is more deserving of the lynch. If you'd like to build a stronger case against Meg, be my guest. I'm by no means married to my vote on Seppel. I just think it's the best currently.
My role PM makes no note of my partner's alignment. I do not need to find her to win the game, but doing so will apparently lead to superspecialawesome things.
Okay, that makes it far less likely that Seppel wanted to find you to kill you. If you claimed this part before, I missed it.
That's a rather distinct misspelling of my username; Ahlyis may be a gimmick of TheIceMan.
Sorry. I'm not familiar with you and was going off of memory. It wasn't a misspelling. I spelt it exactly as I meant to. I was just wrong in what I thought your name was. My bad.
I see it more as just because it is true that doesn't imply causality.
It's the old problem that just because something seems to be true doesn't make it true. Here's a thought problem that I think parallels this discussion:
1. All life on Earth needs water to live.
2. Therefore all life in the universe needs water to live.
We have something that causally seems to be true and causal at first glance, but when you look at it and think about it there is not enough info to make an informed decision or imply causality.
A. Good logic (but as of my last game, logic get shredded and deep fried so...I just can't muster my usual incredulity at a case based on a smilie) and B. Wow challenging Hawking?
@void and the guy who asked I wanted to see if Seppel had anything more specific to add. Having his friend be scum seems bogus to me, another neutral I didn't think of, so his friend in my mind has to be town.
@kpaca If someone you give a bauble to dies, you lose, or just that if all the remaining players at a given time have baubles you win?
I'm amused that [Shalako], of all people, are talking about terrible reasoning. "Hey, PF's RVS daykill must be serious, therefore I should shoot him to prove that I have a daykill!"
Well, that was a fun day of lurking. If anyone has any serious questions for me, lemme know and I'll answer. Also, I'm apparently bad at lurking. A few hours is my limit.

You don't have to, but I'm totally trusting in Seppel. Since AI has posted two fairly obvious "Hey I'm your buddy!" posts, I don't think Seppel is lying.
Megiddo currently has a random stage vote on Prophy, meaning he still has his vote. The fact he just FoSed Aud is bad and seems like he doesn't want to be connected with an attack on aud.
I see where you are going with this, but I disagree. I don't have a read on Meg currently, but I don't think he's scum for this. I believe he's a fairly fresh player, and I can remember many times where freshness caused me to use FoS too much and in suspicious places. That said, if that's the only reason for the vote, then I don't like it.
I have trust issues with Iso because he's been scum in so many of my games. It's purely personal.
As for randomisation of alignments that's a whole other discussion which I don't want to bring up, but personally I believe that mods randomize several times if they end up with scumteams without any experience in them. Reason I don't want to bring this up is because it's not proveable and probably not even correct, it just feels that way since I feel that I've been shafted in random distributions a lot (i.e. Mod: "This game is LOADED with power-roles" PM: "You are vanilla town"). This is however completely unrelated and should be ignored.
While it doesn't have to be true, that doesn't mean that it necessarily is false. It served it's purpose of bringing us clearly out of RVS at least. My vote stands, on the off chance that there's actually something in this. Time will tell. This is not a case of "obvscum Void is totally todays lynch", it's a case of "that's the scummiest I've seen in this game so far".
Don't like the Iso bit. It feels like Aud might know something more than he's letting on. I agree that Iso's a scary scum, but no more so than a lot of other players in this game. Why he singles out Iso is curious to me, regardless of recent game activity.
As for his last paragraph, how on earth is a smilie the scummiest thing he's seen all game? Did he not read the Massclaim proposal? I'm not putting any stock into it's motivations, but it's easily a more scummy action that posting a smilie. Here:
Audinho is obvious town.
@Audinho: You can't use Iso's scum meta from ST:V. It was beneficial for him to die Day 1 in that game, so he didn't behave as he normally would as scum. Cyberpunk is a better example of Isoscum being caught Day 1.
I don't feel good about Void here, and I especially don't like the way Iso just buddied him.
@Cyouni: AI just gives me scum vibes overall in every game. If I put that aside for a minute, he seems town here atm. Need more info really.
Whoawhoawhoa. Wait a minute. Why is Aud town? Also, why don't you have a similarly bad feeling about me? I've been clearing Void as town for just as long as Iso has, maybe even before then. Also, clarify why you don't feel good about void, and do it soon.
Last time I did the "counterclaiming a similiar neutral claim as neutral survivor on day 1" it was Goo mafia and Stormblind was the SK.
What are you?
I remember that. Weren't you both actually neutral with the same role, just opposed to each other? I don't understand how this argument does anything to support what you are saying here.
That being said, I fully believe you are both neutrals. AI coming out as Seppel's partner does a lot to solidify his claim. I also trust you, but I understand that you are more likely to be lying than Seppel is, just because you don't have an AI like situation to help confirm you.
Like I invight everyone to go read this similiar situation in Goo Mafia because Seppel is already approaching it just like Stormblind did, by making things up and trying to say I'm an anti-town neutral or scum. Much like in Goo mafia, this is false, and based on falsities and irrelevant musings by the party which is now concerned about me being a neutral.
You were both smearing each other and both trying to get each other lynched, which helped us scum out and created a nice distraction for us. I even think we NKed SB as a thank you for giving us more time, although I can't remember that game as well as I'd like.
In any case, if you are comparing this to Goo, it's even more of a reason to ignore the both of you.
Looking at his posts, I only see he claimed not to have the same wincon as Seppel. Doesn't say anything about his alignment. Still, what about his Lionel Richie post? Doesn't he claim there that he is Seppel's buddy?
@AsianI: Are you Seppel's buddy or not? If not, what do you think of Seppel's claim? And if you are Seppel's buddy, are your alignments known to each other?

Vote: Seppel
Hey, don't talk about ongoing games friend.
Also, I don't like his vote choice and wording. He's voting for a semi-confirmed claimed neutral, which isn't scum, AKA not scumhunting at all. Next, check the phrase where he opens himself up to wagon hopping: "Unless/until someone makes a better case blahblahblah". So yeah, Ahl plans on keeping a safe vote on a claimed neutral and then barning the next player to make a case. Does it even matter what the case is or how strong it may be? I don't know, but that line is scummy as hell.
So two claimed neutral parties, one of which Deaths Vampire severely doubts, and lot's of kpaca-posts. Megiddo is apparently scum, since both Iso and kpaca thinks so, but I can't entirely grasp why.

No, StormBlind had the exact same role as you in Goo, except you were competing with one another to have a majority of Goo of the same color as yourselves.

Ahlyis came over from another mafia site. He's new here but has some experience.
Also, thanks for the bolded. You're reading town here and I completely agree with you. Someone came into the thread with their thinking cap on.
You are right. Comparing it to how he worded himself as Rick Santorum (town) he was a lot more relaxed, and needed no exclamation marks to underline his statements.
vote Megiddo
It seems you have lured me into trusting you yet again, Iso! What was the last game I started out beeing incredibly wary and paranoid about you and then ended up trusting you completely during the first 5 or 6 pages?
Ok, so what made you flip-flop on Iso so quickly? Cause just a few pages ago you were rambling on and on about how you don't trust him and have him pegged for scum for some asinine reason.
Also, weak onto the Meg wagon. I really don't know why that's even a wagon, meg's vote on a fellow clan member could practically be predicted. I don't see his behavior with his excitement telling at all, and this case is just as terrible as "void posted smilies=scum by meta". The Rick Santorum meta attack here is reprehensible as well. That was Meg's gimmick account, where he was RPing as a presidential candidate. It's no surprise that he didn't sound like himself.
Vote Audinho
Vote and AI are town. If I had to guess, I would say Aud, Dragon and possibly Iso are scum, with an off chance of Kpaca, but I'm not willing to put stock in Kpaca at this point.
Good day gentlemen.

I don't understand the animosity here. Are you concerned that Kpaca's "unkillability" is going to lose us the game? Because you're painting yourself into a corner here; claiming that if we don't do what YOU want us to do, you're gonna go scum. That isn't a very "town-friendly" thing to say for a neutral; which you are purporting to be.
Kpaca has outlined and delineated the nuances to his role. You've threatened and tried to coerce other players into voting for him because he's unkillable. And now, you're threatening the town that you're going against us if we don't do what you say. I don't like this line of thinking one bit.
Have you ever played with Audinho? He's acting like obvious town here. Asking for advice and questioning his actions is his town meta. He has a lot more confidence as scum, because he has buddies to help him.
Void is already lurking. Granted he has an excuse, but it makes me feel uneasy. What really pings my scumdar though, is Iso trying to make excuses for him and posting that Void must be obvioustown when I'm not certain of that yet.
As for you GT, you feel townie to me right now. That overrides us disagreeing.

I would argue that Aud is posting rather confidently, attempting to pin Void on a smilie and then switching over to Meg without batting an eyelash once a bit of pressure is put on him. He barned his way onto the Meg wagon no less, adding support to the "confidence when scumbuddies" theory.

It's not like I revealed something hidden or tried to discuss that game here.
You got me. That's why when Iso asked me, I immediately jumped onto the Meg bandwagon.
I didn't. At no point did I discuss anything that happened in that game or invite anyone else to comment on it. I merely mentioned a single post I made in the game (the very first one I made in the game). That post is 100% public knowledge. It's not like I revealed something hidden or tried to discuss that game here.
They are super picky around here. What you did is still against the rules. I learned that the hard way.

In response to me defeating the town in a Perfect Scum Victory in Avatar Mafia:
All I know is you are from Clannad. I haven't got around to watching it yet.
It's very rarely in our best interest to help Neutrals and even then, we can't ever trust them. Life isn't fun when you are a Neutral, but that's not our problem.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAblearhcla;rkhchahahaha
I was laughing so hard at you that time that I started to throw up a little from the stomach pain, so my laughs at the end were not as happy.
You're a festizzio.
Guardman will tell you when I'm scum, he's the only person here who ever acurately reads me.
I'm beginning to get a scum vibe from Guardman, but I don't know his meta very well and I will admit that disagreeing with me often feels scummy. I may go silent for a while and let everyone else analyze what's going on.
Well at least someone around here still plays mafia.
Please do.
I agree
Just decided.
Because when Void starts a game as scum, he's cautious and tries not to tread on any toes too soon. Here, he plunged headfist into scumhunting, and appears way off-base with his reasoning. Plus his tone when he plays as scum is waaay different. This is town Void.
Oh, so I MUST be scum now! Sound argumentation.
This is weak. Megiddo is scum.
Unvote, Vote Megiddo
God dammit Seppel.
Take Void out of the occasion and we're on the same track here.
I caught Void in his first post of Homestuck Mafia. I know his scum game.
Oh boy!
Oh god dammit are you seriously claiming Neutral. Okay. We'll see where this goes.
- But kpaca is right about Megiddo.
How so?
How do you know this?
Why do you refer to it as a "counterclaim"? If you think it's a counterclaim, why aren't you voting Seppel now?

I made a joke in RVS that I was a "17 shot vig'.
Apparently, some people took me as being serious...
Oh please do Guard, that was funny as hell.
Kpaca, do you baubles do anything? Or are they just tokens to hand out?
The Family
Unless/until someone makes a better case or I spot something bigger...
Vote: Seppel
Is there something wrong with voting Megiddo at this juncture?

Role breadcrumb is role breadcrumb.
I only bring this up so you quit playing as a neutral.
And seppel, Ibuki Fuuko flavor wise its totes neutral survivor so just stop.
Why is he unkillable? BECAUSE HE WINS BY HIMSELF.
:3
I'll vote for Megiddo if you promise to lynch Kpaca some time in the first three days.
Kpaca wins by himself. I am using logical deductions to come to this conclusion.
Could someone put together the Megiddo-case for me, in plain text? I understood Isos reasons (weak and weird FoS and some grasping RVS-analysis), but I didn't understand kpacas at all.

My role PM makes no note of my partner's alignment. I do not need to find her to win the game, but doing so will apparently lead to superspecialawesome things.
That's a rather distinct misspelling of my username; Ahlyis may be a gimmick of TheIceMan.
Not as far as I can tell.
Vote Megiddo
If I can determine somehow that kpaca is lying about what he does or how he wins, I will back his lynch 100%.
So if we don't lynch kpaca within the first three Days, lynch you. Got it.
@Aud: See the post of Meg's I quoted? It is so terribly forced. Read into it.

Rather, lynch Kpaca and you gain a townie.
You are right. Comparing it to how he worded himself as Rick Santorum (town) he was a lot more relaxed, and needed no exclamation marks to underline his statements.

It seems you have lured me into trusting you yet again, Iso! What was the last game I started out beeing incredibly wary and paranoid about you and then ended up trusting you completely during the first 5 or 6 pages?

I have no problem with your vote against Megiddo, but at this juncture, I think Seppel is more deserving of the lynch. If you'd like to build a stronger case against Meg, be my guest. I'm by no means married to my vote on Seppel. I just think it's the best currently.
Okay, that makes it far less likely that Seppel wanted to find you to kill you. If you claimed this part before, I missed it.
Sorry. I'm not familiar with you and was going off of memory. It wasn't a misspelling. I spelt it exactly as I meant to. I was just wrong in what I thought your name was. My bad.
12-11? I'm losing track
I usually lurk for at least 8 hours every night!
Why? It's already been asked by others but it's a good question.
You are misunderstanding now too. I wasn't coaching Void, I was arguing my defense when he said I was misrepping him, which was a misunderstanding.
You don't have to, but I'm totally trusting in Seppel. Since AI has posted two fairly obvious "Hey I'm your buddy!" posts, I don't think Seppel is lying.
Weaksauce. I really can't believe this has gotten this far.
Here:
:D:D:D:D:tongue::tongue::D:):o:o:o:o:mad::mad::rolleyes::D:mad::-/:o:mad:
Am I scum yet?
This argument is ridiculous. Void is town, his play so far has me believing that solidly.
I like you. You give me smiles.
Whoawhoawhoa. Wait a minute. Why is Aud town? Also, why don't you have a similarly bad feeling about me? I've been clearing Void as town for just as long as Iso has, maybe even before then. Also, clarify why you don't feel good about void, and do it soon.
FISHFISHFISHFISHFISH
Hey, don't talk about ongoing games friend.
Also, I don't like his vote choice and wording. He's voting for a semi-confirmed claimed neutral, which isn't scum, AKA not scumhunting at all. Next, check the phrase where he opens himself up to wagon hopping: "Unless/until someone makes a better case blahblahblah". So yeah, Ahl plans on keeping a safe vote on a claimed neutral and then barning the next player to make a case. Does it even matter what the case is or how strong it may be? I don't know, but that line is scummy as hell.
This post could be rewritten as "Could someone please play this game for me?" More reason I don't like Aud so far.
Ahlyis came over from another mafia site. He's new here but has some experience.
Also, thanks for the bolded. You're reading town here and I completely agree with you. Someone came into the thread with their thinking cap on.
Oh, and I think I forgot to Unvote before I Vote Audinho
Vote Seppel
Void is already lurking. Granted he has an excuse, but it makes me feel uneasy. What really pings my scumdar though, is Iso trying to make excuses for him and posting that Void must be obvioustown when I'm not certain of that yet.
As for you GT, you feel townie to me right now. That overrides us disagreeing.
@DH: You don't think the post where Audi voted Megiddo is full of confidence?
I'll ask again in case you missed in the thread explosion
@ Kpaca - do you baubles do anything or are they just tokens ala goo?
The Family
I would argue that Aud is posting rather confidently, attempting to pin Void on a smilie and then switching over to Meg without batting an eyelash once a bit of pressure is put on him. He barned his way onto the Meg wagon no less, adding support to the "confidence when scumbuddies" theory.
You got me. That's why when Iso asked me, I immediately jumped onto the Meg bandwagon.
They are super picky around here. What you did is still against the rules. I learned that the hard way.
