Several weeks ago Batman's cape and cowl was found, bloody and torn in the streets of Gotham City. He has not been seen since, and is presumed dead, sparking an unprecedented crime wave. The other defenders of Gotham are stretched to their limits trying to deal with the situation. Once the villains realize that Batman is finally gone, and that his sidekicks are at a loss without him, they gather at Arkham Asylum to divide the city amongst themselves and develop a plan to get rid of the meddlesome do-gooders once and for all.
Now Batman's allies are on the run, forced to hide out in the Gotham Underground. With their enemies hot on the trail, they must bide their time and take out the villains on by one.
With the Batman dead, and Gotham City in the grip of chaos, who will survive in the Gotham Underground?

yeah, im no big fan of the RVS either often times if there are enough bad players it just ends in catastrophe. I also dont feel like doing some awful gambit to get us out of rvs this time.
Gosh, I haven't seen a face that disfigured since that time that someone let the Joker do makeup at the Opera. Please, I get that not everyone is born with beauty, but could you please at least put a bag over it?

I prefer to be refered to as Niv, as in Vote Niv. Pronouns are unnecessary in this game for me. if Niv is too long for you and would rather only have to type the two letters in he, i would like photographic proof that you are playing this game without fingers.

I've been told I come to non-obvious conclusions a lot, so when I post, quite a bit of the time there's jumps in logic that people can't follow and they think that's scummy. I get that accusation about a lot of questions I ask specifically. People call them "busy work" when the questions are legit etc.
As far as things to ignore, I can't think of anything. I would suggest you focus less on what I'm doing and more on how I'm doing it. That's probably more likely to be accurate. Like I've just said, what I do tends to come off a little weird, but if you look for how I do it, mindset comes into play and maybe you figure out something useful.

There are certain roles that require a day one claim: miller, voteless, etc.
If you are a town power role, don't claim as you'll be the first target from the scum.
If you are neutral, don't claim as you'll be the first target from the town.
If you are scum, go ahead and claim. It'll make today easier.
Long answer: why would you even mention this when a) we're still in RVS and b) barely anyone has even posted yet? Don't claim unless you have to (i.e. you are at L-2 or the situation calls for it, such as if you are a miller).

I've seen players get upset when others won't roleplay along with them when they are having serious discussion, but that's about it. And a guy who quit a game because there wasn't enough roleplay, that too.

Well I've already noticed two RPers.
And if the flavor is right, they are common characters as villains in the Zbatman universe.
Which means they're town. So, roleplaying could cause flavor gamers to start picking up on who is what. Because of this id highly advocate against it because part of the reason we are here is because so many of us love the source material.
asian invasion had some day one claims a year ago.
One was a miller which was understandable. The other was a bizarro neutral claim(in ghs mafia). the miller claim turned out to be a traitor, and i pretty much can never trust millers again(although id prefer to see them vigged). The bizarro neutral claim turned out to be true and with that knowledge we rocked the mafia. You can read up on that game if you wish although i doubt it will help your decision...

Claimed Millers are perfect vig targets. They are not generally good lynch candidates, unless their behaviour warrants it.
But all this does is put off until tomorrow what you could do today. It's not like a well-informed "blind" vig shot should be less accurate than a lynch. When you are shooting out into the wild your odds are the same (as long as you discuss it the same before hand), so when you roast the duck doesn't matter.
On the off-chance that he's a powered mafia, all you are doing is giving him more uses of his power.

There are certain roles that require a day one claim: miller, voteless, etc.
If you are a town power role, don't claim as you'll be the first target from the scum.
If you are neutral, don't claim as you'll be the first target from the town.
If you are scum, go ahead and claim. It'll make today easier.

Right, I'm familiar; this isn't one of those common roles like miller, but I'm fairly sure it's optimal to claim it openly at the start.
I've actually never seen a role like this before. Actually it might be common around here for all I know?
I mean, obviously I have a reason. I'm not going to announce my role or even that I plan on it if I haven't explicitly decided that it's clearly the optimal gameplay choice.
I would have posted even sooner, except I hesitated since I didn't know this group. I had to at least make sure I wouldn't get auto-lynched by a majority mob of hystericals for suggesting such a thing.

Well I've already noticed two RPers.
And if the flavor is right, they are common characters as villains in the Zbatman universe.
Which means they're town. So, roleplaying could cause flavor gamers to start picking up on who is what. Because of this id highly advocate against it because part of the reason we are here is because so many of us love the source material.
Point taken, Bolly. I just could see it leading to arguments within town down the line.

asian invasion had some day one claims a year ago.
One was a miller which was understandable. The other was a bizarro neutral claim(in ghs mafia). the miller claim turned out to be a traitor, and i pretty much can never trust millers again(although id prefer to see them vigged). The bizarro neutral claim turned out to be true and with that knowledge we rocked the mafia. You can read up on that game if you wish although i doubt it will help your decision...
I don't understand why anyone would not have a zero-tolerance policy on millers.

But all this does is put off until tomorrow what you could do today. It's not like a well-informed "blind" vig shot should be less accurate than a lynch. When you are shooting out into the wild your odds are the same (as long as you discuss it the same before hand), so when you roast the duck doesn't matter.
