Well, I was originally thinking that you were the last scum, so I wasn't really prepared to make a case on either of them.
At this point, the evidence is pretty heavily against me (I'm still not sure why Manders lost a life on N3), so I should probably just be lynched. If you can kill AI or Reya (leaning towards AI at the moment), then we may still be able to win.
I wasn't completely honest when I claimed. The way my ability works, I summon a spirit that attaches itself to an item in my possession. This spirit will tell me each player that has possessed the item over the course of the game, and as long as it is attached will tell me if anyone new gains control of the item the Night after this exchange occurs. I can also use the spirit to destroy the item it is attached to, but I lost this ability due to my mismanaging of a certain Contract. Awesomely enough, this mistake has led to the current series of events whereby scum ITF is caught red-handed with the Shaman's Headdress that belonged to our dearly departed Guardman.

It was pretty much a toss up between Manders and AI. Both were pretty obviously town at that point, and I didn't anticipate AI having more abilities. I guess it might have been a little easier to push a case against Manders, due to the thing with Cyan, but I was thinking that you were the one I needed to get lynched anyway (only I forgot that you could use the berries and pick up two items, which would pretty much confirm you as town).

The ogres regroup and unanimously decide that ImTehFairy is the last responsible for the Chieftain's death. Before they can proceed with killing him however, ImTehFairy speaks up.
"You fools!" he spits out at the surrounding ogres. "Karr'gan was a weak Chieftain! He was destroying the Ogre way of life!"
"Karr'gan brought peashe an' unity to da Ogre clansh. He wash a hero!" AsianInvasion, Vorshan Darganth, Shaman, Town Item Tracker/Destroyer replies.
Archmage Eternal, Shorka Borka, Thief, Town Looter echoes this sentiment. "Life was good under Karr'gan! You took that away from us!"
And finally Reya Cookiebringer, Shonka Norg'thun, Thief, Town Gold Thief/Scout chimes in. "MURDERER!"
ImTehFairy, Yarh'la Grahth, Thief, Mafia Item Thief/Distracter looks at them all with disgust. "I will not tolerate the disgrace of being killed by you fools and weaklings."
With that, he pulls out a dagger from under his cloak and jabs it into his heart.

Sadly I didn't pursue it much further. I believe I made a case day 1, but nobody really saw the same thing.
Day 2 Cyan acted incredibly scummy so I was distracted almost the entire time by him, though it's funny that I wasn't the only player to try a gambit on him. Which brings me to Seppel. Seppel, you never should have followed that gambit all the way to the end. It almost lost the town the game and it ended up getting you vigged. To be fair, I tried to protect Az night 2, because I was 50/50 on either him or Cyan being scum, but I couldn't get over Cyan's day 2 play so I just picked Az to protect. Thankfully Seppel's ability resolved first, or Az would have probably still been around on day 3.
This game taught me several things, mainly that tunnel vision is bad and can lead to poor decisions. Also that false claiming cult leader is probably a bad idea too.
My role was really flavorful and I enjoyed breadcrumbing my abilities. My only critique is that there were too many vig shots floating around. So many vig shots!
Overall I'm disappointed in my play, but not how I played my character. Long live Foorg'el! And go town!

Well, I don't know how many there were, but I started out with a one-shot kill item. That's how Seppel killed Az. I didn't use it because I was clumsy and it would be in the opening flavor if I did use it. This is also the reason we had to trust each other even though we were not confirmed.
Oh, right, I have to tell you guys this: if Seppel is your mason partner, he will keep his word with you. If he says he'll do something, he'll do it. If he doesn't, he's scum.

I think you did quite well for your first big-game-that-couldn't-be-considered-a-trainwreck-from-the-start. Big games are harder simply because there are so many people to try to read.

My biggest criticism with you is how you disappeared once you were confirmed. It made me doubt you the last couple days of the game. Just because you're confirmed doesn't mean you can stop contributing. Luckily, others were waaaay scummier than you.
@DV: Why did you decide to try the same thing Seppel did to Cyan with AI? Once you did that, my first thought was "He's lying scum playing off Seppel's play" Bad move, but the nail in your coffin truly was that thing I found with Az at the beginning of D2. Completely unexplainable other than the explanation I provided.

The ogre begins to sob as he tells of his plight.

At this, the ogre sobs uncontrollably.
Scratching your head you ask,
"Have you this letter here with you?"

The rich ogre reaches into his satchel and produces the letter.
It appears to be a ransom note.
Smiling pleasantly at the ogre you reassure him.
"Very good. Fear not, my friend, we will find your son."
Motioning for the ogre to stand back, you begin the ritual.
"O great J'oogel!"
"J'oogel the watching, I summon thee!"
"Ishna ma neyltok, J'oogel borkgron!"
At this last verse mist began to rise form in the air, twirling together beginning to take shape.
"Borkgron J'oogel, neyltok ma ishna!"
The mist twirls together and then forms an ogre-like shape.
Taking the ogre's letter, you continue the ritual.
"O great J'oogel, answer me now!"
"Reveal now to me the origin of this letter!"
The mist lurches forward to the letter and swirls around it furiously.
After a few moments it stops and then speaks to you.
Listening to what it says, you nod and smile.
Watching from across the room, hope enters the rich ogre's eyes.
You approach him to tell him of the spirit's findings.
"The house of Garn'yk the Strong is where this letter came from. Therefore, that is where you will find your son."
You shake your head thinking to yourself. That Garn'yk was always trouble.
Showering thanks upon you, the rich ogre leaves a large purse of money that will likely more than cover your fee and then hurries out the door. No doubt heading to a certain house.
Closing the door to your hut you retrieve the money. Another job well done.

"Black," you grunt sullenly, placing your twentieth bet of the night.
The other ogres around the table smile in visible delight, only too happy to take your money once again. Out of all the squares on the J'agrin cloth, black was the smallest by a large margin. The chances of having the G'rin skull land on black when tossed from the throwing position were astronomically small. And that's why the payoff for such an event was so high.
While the others kept placing their bets on safe colours like red or yellow, you had bet black every single time. You would never get there by attrition since the minimum cost for each bet ensured that the house would have made triple what they would have to pay out to you when the skull eventually landed on black.
So it was a good thing you weren't relying on simple luck.
The thrower tossed the small skull and as it made it's journey through the air time seemed to slow down for you. An instant before it would have landed on purple (a nice payout for the foul-smelling ogre to your right), your hand shoots out and nudges the skull ever so slightly. The movement, imperceptible in it's speed, serves your purpose well. The G'rin skull falls to the cloth, spins and tumbles, finally coming to a rest on black.
You smile as the other ogres growl and hiss in anger.
That wash nishe, a voice in your head intrudes, ruining the moment. But I'd advishe againsht shticking around. That lot doshen't look to pleashed with you. They might try roughin' you up.
You had Blood-Bonded with Hargen a while ago, when you had finally decided that the two off you could pull off your operations (you running the con and Hargen watching your back) more easily this way. Blood-Bonding was a risky undertaking, compounded by the fact that it was hard to figure out which shaman would actually perform the ritual and which would just slit your throat and take your money while you were under the effects of the No'ha vapours. Still, you had run into enough situations where being able to communicate with each other without talking would have helped out and so you undertook the procedure. It had proven to be a wise decision time and time again.
It also allowed Hargen to communicate his paranoid thoughts to you at all times.
You flexed your hands, testing your lighting-fast reflexes and smiled.

You have done the unspeakable. You have broken an ogre pact.
Last month, you hired an ogre to kill one of your enemies, but when he completed the contract, you refused to pay him, insisting that he had killed the wrong ogre.
The case was brought before the Council of Elders. The hitman presented the contract, in which you clearly wrote the name of the now dead ogre, proving that you were a liar and guilty of breaking something that was so sacred to the ogre nation.
In punishment, the council demanded that you pay the amount that you owed and in order to prove your worth again, demanded that you fulfill ten contracts. If these terms were not met, the council decreed that you would be banished from Ogreland.
You've paid up the hitman, but there's still one more condition to be met, before you can once again gain worth in the eyes of the council.

Walking down the street, you hear sighs from female ogres all around you. But today, you have a certain pretty ogress who's heart must be won.
Politely smiling at the ogresses who wave to you, you continue on to the home of Snarka Day'rnk. As you approach her house, you repeat the words of the poem you've prepared in your head to ensure that your recital goes well.
You knock on her door. There's no answer. On the second knock, the door opens and the pretty Snarka steps out.
"Oh Jokobo, what can I do for you?"
"Uh..." you mumble, desperately trying to remember the words of the poem.

From the look on Snarka's face, you can tell she liked it.

The weapons usually came from the bodies of dead ogres who didn't need them anymore, but Jon'rak didn't know and even if he did you doubted that it would matter.

"What do you need?" You ask him.
Sporkto is panting and seems exhausted, as if running for days.
"I've gotten into shome trouble wit da Rot'karn clan" he says, fear apparent in his eyes.
Inside your head, you roll your eyes. Sporkto was always getting into trouble with nearby clans.
"Let me guess, you were seeing the Chieftain's daughter?"
The sheepish look on Sporkto's face confirms your assessment.
"She's da one for me, I can feel itsh in my bonesh!"
"And what happened?"
"Well, I wanted to impresh her, sho I picked shome flowersh for her."
Ah Sporkto, ever the romantic. You motion for him to continue.
"And when I went to 'er housh to give dem to her, her father anshwered da door..."
Sporkto was your friend, but sometimes, was he dense. In ogre tradition, the Chieftain's family only married into the best. Another Chieftain perhaps, or a wealthy noble. Sporkto was neither of those. You could only imagine the Chieftain's anger upon seeing a common street ogre such as Sporkto trying to woo his daughter.
"He chashed me outta da housh and sent one of his ogre-at-arms after me, to shcare me away from hish daughter!"

You curse under your breath. Someday you're going to have to have a serious talk with Sporkto about sensibility. But for now, he is your friend and he is in danger.

All those years of eating Garrgan meat and drinking cheap ale have taken it's toll on you.
Moving through the forest, you stumble on something. You try to look down and see what it is, but you can't see anything beyond your enormous belly.
Shrugging, you continue on to your destination.
You used to be an agile and quick hunter, but years of over-consumption have turned you into a fat enormous ogre (even by an ogre's standards).
Some might think that this would stop you from carrying on the hunt. But being the clever ogre that you are, you've devised a simple, but ingenious method to catch your prey.
Why run when you can walk? Or more accurately in your case, why run when you can be drinking more ale instead?
Instead of chasing after your prey, be it Garrgan beast or ogre, you just set up tripwires to catch them for you.
All you have to do is set up a tripwire, go home and eat or drink to your heart's content and then revisit the tripwire and (hopefully) the dead body.
Ah, you've reached your destination. Sure enough, a dead Garrgan beast is lying next to your trap with a spike impaled through it's head.
Fat, you may be. But pity the fool that thinks you are harmless.

You gaze up at the stars, admiring the way they float so gloriously in the sky. The roar of the Joz'neek bird quickly tears your eyes away from the sky. Moving silently still, you follow the sound into the woods.
The Joz'neek bird is stealthy. Blending in with the shadows at all times. The only indication that there even is a Joz'neek bird nearby, is the terrifying roar it sounds as it hunts for food. Besides being all but invisible, the Joz'neek bird has the most acute hearing of all the forest creatures. Only the most skilled hunter can catch a Joz'neek by surprise.
Still, you are undeterred. The fact that the bird is such a hard catch, is the very reason you are here tonight. An assassin must hone his skills all the time. And there are few better ways to do so than to hunt the Joz'neek bird.
The great bird roars again. Swiftly and silently you move, nearing your prey with every step.
You hear the cry of a young Bakbaba. The Joz'neek has caught it's own prey.
Moving into the area where the Bakbaba had cried out, you take your crossbow off your back and into your hands.
Your sharp eyes scan the area, but unsurprisingly you do not see the Joz'neek.
Your eyes and crossbow are pinned on the corpse of the Bakbaba now. Suddenly, your eyes catch what appears to be a shadow on the Bakbaba's head.
The Joz'neek.
Quickly, you move your crossbow towards the shadow and fire.
The Joz'neek cries out.
Another successful catch.
You move to the corpse of the Joz'neek and sling it's body over your shoulder.

"Shomtimes I just can't take it," you say. "Putting my life on the line to protect important ogres is one thing but rish'king everything for a fat worthlesh ogre? What'sh the point?"
"Ah, I shee you had to guard old Rek'ran last night," says Baruk as he winks at you. "But you know, even fat ogres like him can be important. After all, if I didn't have him to bribe, do you think I would be able to get my handsh on some nishe Borka Ale?"
Despite yourself, you smile. Borka Ale was extremely hard to come by and restricted to only important ogres. You could always count on Baruk to cheer you up.

You ignore him.
"I said you're in my way," the ogre continues his fun.
You're sitting down and trying to quietly enjoy a drink in Gajork's Alehouse, but this guy clearly wants trouble.
"I said...you're...in... my...way..." the ogre taunts you, jabbing a chubby finger at you with every word.
You've had enough. This ogre is asking for it.
You take one more swig of ale and then slamming down the bottle on the table, stand up to face your aggressor.
The ogre grins. He's been waiting for this.
Without warning he sends a punch flying straight at your head.
You duck and using the full force of your body, slam him into a nearby wall.
He falls down and the wall splinters and cracks. Gajork ain't going to be happy.
The ogre, lifts himself up from the ground and charges at you, arms swinging. He hits you continuously, perfectly carrying the momentum from one blow to another. But you feel no pain, for now you are angry.
The ogre continues his assault, until you're backed up into a wall.
Using the wall to help propel you forward, you land a hard right on the ogre's face.
While he's stunned for a moment, you prepare to give one of the most brutal headbutts this bar has ever seen.
CLUNK.
Your heads collide and the ogre falls down, unconscious.
You lift a hand to your now bleeding head, chuckling.
You don't care about your own injuries, all that matters here is that you are the victor.
Abilities:
Rage (passive, permanent)- If you are killed at night you kill your killer with your last breath.
Even more of a problem is the ogre standing fully breathing next to the dead ogre. Dead ogres can't speak, but the ogre standing before you is a witness to your crime.
"You...you...killed im'!" the ogre stares at you in shock.
"CONSHTABLE! HELP!" he shouts.
"You'll pay for dis murder!"
Your voice is cold and dangerous.
"No, I'm afraid you are the one who will pay for this murder."
Cackling manically, you lift your staff up in the air.
"HAR'KROG THE MAGNIFICENT! I CALL ON YOU!"
The ogre stands still, paralyzed with fear.
"Jakano gorn'han bork, Har'krog creshnak!"
The ogre begins to twitch violently. After a few minutes he stops.
"What's going on here, did someone call for a constable?"
He sees the body on the floor.
"Who did this?" he asks, looking directly at you.
You mutter something under your breath. The ogre next to you speaks.
"I killed him! And I will kill many more!" he says, snarling viciously.
The constable moves forward.
"Not on my watch you won't!"
Bashing the ogre's head with a heavy club, the constable then cuffs him and leads him away.
As he moves off, he casts a suspicious glance in your direction. He then shrugs and moves off. He has his man, caught by confession! Therefore you must have nothing to do with it.

Seeing that the trespasser is no longer around, you scratch Brovna gently.

Many an intruder had been scared off your property by the imposing and dangerous looking wolf. But the truth was, Brovna was one of the most gentle beasts in the land. You doubted that if an intruder ever ignored Brovna's barking, that she would actually ever do anything more than try to play with the intruder.
Leading Brovna back into your home, you toss her a slab of meat. Brovna devours it hungrily.
Ever since you were young, you've shared a deep understanding and connection with animals. But Brovna has always been your favorite pet.
You scratch her chin and she growls happily.
"Good girl."

But then that damn guard caught sight of you.
Which brings us back to where you are now.
The guard is gaining on you. Any moment now, he will catch you. And that's the last thing you want to happen.
Thinking quickly, you reach into your pocket and grab a bunch of coins. You throw the coins on the ground, hoping to distract the guard.
Sure enough, the guard sees the shiny coins on the ground and stares at them greedily for a moment. But that was all the time you needed to break his line of sight and disappear.
So you lost a few coins, but you have the artifact and are safe and sound. A job well done, no doubt.
Abilities: Steal (activated, night)-Target someone to steal one random item from items they have.
Distract (activated, night)-Discard 50 gold. Players targeting you tonight will be given the option to pick up the gold. The first player to pick up the gold will receive the gold and their action on you will be roleblocked. Your eyes follow the target through the marketplace. He's a paranoid one, looking over his shoulder every couple of seconds. Of course, his eyes just slide right over you. You've spent years training yourself to blend into your surroundings, whether they were a crowd of ogres or simply the dark shadows of nearby buildings. For this particular mission you've chosen the 'plain sight method', whereby you try to attract as much attention as possible in the hopes that this will convince your prey that you couldn't be an assassin sent to kill him. Surely, an assassin would be more quiet and assassin-like. Surely.
You turn back to the fish merchant who is shouting at you in outrage at the price you've offered him for his filleted T'rong.
"Greedy shcum!" you shout back in disgust and walk away from his stand to follow your quarry.
Carefully staying close to the walls as your target leaves the populated area of town and enters a sparsely populated area where only the rich resided, you put your skills to good use to make sure you aren't spotted.
Your target reaches a privates estate guarded by two tough looking ogres and enters. Well, this isn't going to be easy. But then again, it wouldn't be fun if it was.
You reach into your pouch and grab some J'ooya berries. Grimacing in preparation for the foul taste, you swallow them.
The effect is instant and potent. You feel your body's muscles ripple as the berry stimulant enters your system. Your vision is suddenly clearer than ever before and the sound of your beating hard is deafening to your now super-sensitive ears.
Grinning with overconfidence (a side effect that has caused the death of many some part of you recalls, but you quickly push the thought away), you dispense with the subterfuge and approach the two guards head on.
The first falls before he even realizes he's been attacked. Your fist, bursting with its newfound strength, rips through his head, almost dismembering it. The second ogre turns to react but he's no match for your drug-induced speed. A kick to his stomach sends him flying into the estate's wall. There's a loud crack and he lands, his limbs splayed in unnatural positions.
You grunt in satisfaction and enter the compound and spot your target just about to close the door to the large building he's just entered. With an unnatural speed fueled by the J'ooya berries you pull out your blowdart and bring it to your lips. The dart flies straight and true, ending it's flight by embedding itself into your target's foot.
The door closes. No doubt your target hasn't even realized that he's been hit. In a couple of days time, when he's lying on his deathbed he might recall this day.
You rush out of the compound and hurry to get to a safe location before you'll inevitably succumb to the J'ooya berries aftereffects and start dreaming of purple dragons.

Vorgpak tells you the price. You nod and reach for your money belt to pay him. But as you reach down, you discover that your money belt appears to be gone.
"What the..."
"What's the problem Hurg'l?" Vorgpak asks you.
"My money... it's gone!"
Realization suddenly dawns on your face. That ogre who bumped into you before... he wasn't clumsy, he was a thief!
Anger begins to cloud your face. Too long have these thieves run amok in Kragnan province.
Someone must bring an end to this despicable thievery. And that someone is going to be you.

Besides, your annoyance is forgotten as soon as the sweet taste of the power fills you yet again. You moan in pleasure as it courses through your body, charging you with its demonic power.
You merely have to think and your consciousness is floating above the city while your mortal body collapses onto the floor. It's nighttime but that presents no visibility problems while you're in this state. The world is colored in magnificent hues, sparkling and changing every moment.
Your eyes alight upon a suitable target.
A young ogre embracing his sweetheart over a small bridge. He leans in to kiss the ogress and down you go. You float into his mind and with the power of Farzal take over, quenching all his thoughts about love and life and the future into one single, overwhelming idea:
BLOOD.
The kiss turns into a bite. A vicious bite that rips off half his sweetheart's face. She shrieks. A horribly unnatural sound. Not merely the sound of someone in unbelievable pain but the sound of someone who's reality has just collapsed around them. The one thing which they thought they could trust above all had just betrayed that trust in the most horrible way possible.
Your mind suddenly becomes calm and peaceful as the myriad voices are silent as they enjoy this delicious offering.
With blood dripping from his mouth, the ogre starts to tear at his former beloved, ripping her body to shreds. Within moments there is nothing left. That doesn't stop the ogre. Unable to do anything but obey the sickening command placed in his head he turns on the closest source of life. Himself.
He turns on himself, biting and clawing and ripping out his organs. It lasts only a few seconds before he collapses, his guts in disarray and his head ripped open.
Your mind is returned to your own body.
You stand up shakily.
You hear the buzz of the voices. It is a familiar sound that you have come to recognize as their way of saying thanks, while they are still too caught up in the pleasure of the act.
You smile.
"I live to serve."

Like, seriously, I have never been more nervous than I was D5. I felt like the game was in my hands, and it scared the crap out of me!

Bolded by me, for emphasis. Did it actually say this in the item description? And Seppel still tried to use Azrael having the Falcon as a point for DV? If anything, that would be a fantastic point against him.
I don't think I played that badly, to be honest. I tried to do my best, and it seemed like I held off the one attack on me alright, although that could have been more of a product of the headdress wagon that was building on Zindabad and not really anything I said.
Props to Syrenz, I really enjoyed the game for the short time that I was able to play in it.

The best piece of advice I've gotten on this came from TFF in JW Mafia. He said, if you're town, just say what you want to say. Don't try to make it sound ok, because decent players can tell if you have done that, and they'll assume is for scum-related reasons.
You have to trust that your true intent will come through in the post. Of course, I'm still working on this myself.

This did make me happy when I noticed that I got it right. I guess I can use this game as an example, just do what I did here, but more of it. It helps when you say things that turn out to be correct though.

This is true. I certainly would call someone for intentionally trying to appear town, so I guess I really shouldn't do that myself. I hope my true intent will come through, because I get a little scatter-brained at times. It's something that takes refining, that's for sure.

Last Night I planted a Tripwire on ITF.
I was told that your Tripwire was broken last Night.

Well, I was originally thinking that you were the last scum, so I wasn't really prepared to make a case on either of them.
At this point, the evidence is pretty heavily against me (I'm still not sure why Manders lost a life on N3), so I should probably just be lynched. If you can kill AI or Reya (leaning towards AI at the moment), then we may still be able to win.
I wasn't completely honest when I claimed. The way my ability works, I summon a spirit that attaches itself to an item in my possession. This spirit will tell me each player that has possessed the item over the course of the game, and as long as it is attached will tell me if anyone new gains control of the item the Night after this exchange occurs. I can also use the spirit to destroy the item it is attached to, but I lost this ability due to my mismanaging of a certain Contract. Awesomely enough, this mistake has led to the current series of events whereby scum ITF is caught red-handed with the Shaman's Headdress that belonged to our dearly departed Guardman.
Speaking of which:
If I'm lying about ITF, why is he still hedging his bets? Shouldn't he just be voting me because I'm the last scum? The jig is up.

I think Lost Mafia (I don't remember if it's on MTGS) had all SKs except for one townie. Yeah...
I'm very interested in seeing the setup for this game; it definitely seems like one of the most creative games I've ever played it.
It was pretty much a toss up between Manders and AI. Both were pretty obviously town at that point, and I didn't anticipate AI having more abilities. I guess it might have been a little easier to push a case against Manders, due to the thing with Cyan, but I was thinking that you were the one I needed to get lynched anyway (only I forgot that you could use the berries and pick up two items, which would pretty much confirm you as town).

I thought Az was scum day 1, mainly because this post was about as anti-town as possible.
Sadly I didn't pursue it much further. I believe I made a case day 1, but nobody really saw the same thing.
Day 2 Cyan acted incredibly scummy so I was distracted almost the entire time by him, though it's funny that I wasn't the only player to try a gambit on him. Which brings me to Seppel. Seppel, you never should have followed that gambit all the way to the end. It almost lost the town the game and it ended up getting you vigged. To be fair, I tried to protect Az night 2, because I was 50/50 on either him or Cyan being scum, but I couldn't get over Cyan's day 2 play so I just picked Az to protect. Thankfully Seppel's ability resolved first, or Az would have probably still been around on day 3.
This game taught me several things, mainly that tunnel vision is bad and can lead to poor decisions. Also that false claiming cult leader is probably a bad idea too.
My role was really flavorful and I enjoyed breadcrumbing my abilities. My only critique is that there were too many vig shots floating around. So many vig shots!
Overall I'm disappointed in my play, but not how I played my character. Long live Foorg'el! And go town!
Well, I don't know how many there were, but I started out with a one-shot kill item. That's how Seppel killed Az. I didn't use it because I was clumsy and it would be in the opening flavor if I did use it. This is also the reason we had to trust each other even though we were not confirmed.
Oh, right, I have to tell you guys this: if Seppel is your mason partner, he will keep his word with you. If he says he'll do something, he'll do it. If he doesn't, he's scum.
I think you did quite well for your first big-game-that-couldn't-be-considered-a-trainwreck-from-the-start. Big games are harder simply because there are so many people to try to read.

@DV: Why did you decide to try the same thing Seppel did to Cyan with AI? Once you did that, my first thought was "He's lying scum playing off Seppel's play" Bad move, but the nail in your coffin truly was that thing I found with Az at the beginning of D2. Ah, a kidnapping case. You love when things are easy. You motion for the ogre to continue.
"It happened lasht week, Brok'gan was out picking Jokjok flowers and he never came back!"
The ogre begins to sob as he tells of his plight.
"And lasht night, outshide my door I found a letter, along with one of Brok'gan's favorite toys!"
At this, the ogre sobs uncontrollably.
Scratching your head you ask,
"Have you this letter here with you?"
"Yesh, yesh! I a've it right here!"
The rich ogre reaches into his satchel and produces the letter.
It appears to be a ransom note.
Smiling pleasantly at the ogre you reassure him.
"Very good. Fear not, my friend, we will find your son."
Motioning for the ogre to stand back, you begin the ritual.
"O great J'oogel!"
"J'oogel the watching, I summon thee!"
"Ishna ma neyltok, J'oogel borkgron!"
At this last verse mist began to rise form in the air, twirling together beginning to take shape.
"Borkgron J'oogel, neyltok ma ishna!"
The mist twirls together and then forms an ogre-like shape.
Taking the ogre's letter, you continue the ritual.
"O great J'oogel, answer me now!"
"Reveal now to me the origin of this letter!"
The mist lurches forward to the letter and swirls around it furiously.
After a few moments it stops and then speaks to you.
Listening to what it says, you nod and smile.
Watching from across the room, hope enters the rich ogre's eyes.
You approach him to tell him of the spirit's findings.
"The house of Garn'yk the Strong is where this letter came from. Therefore, that is where you will find your son."
You shake your head thinking to yourself. That Garn'yk was always trouble.
Showering thanks upon you, the rich ogre leaves a large purse of money that will likely more than cover your fee and then hurries out the door. No doubt heading to a certain house.
Closing the door to your hut you retrieve the money. Another job well done.
Abilities:
You have the ability to commune with the spirits. At night, you may summon this spirit to aid you:
J'oogel the Watching (activated,night)-You may bind J'oogel to an item in your possession. You will be informed of which players have had possession of this item prior to you gaining control of it. You will also be informed of which players have control of this item after you have used this ability.
Melt essence (activated, night, one-shot)- You may have J'oogel destroy the item he is bound to.

"Black," you grunt sullenly, placing your twentieth bet of the night.
The other ogres around the table smile in visible delight, only too happy to take your money once again. Out of all the squares on the J'agrin cloth, black was the smallest by a large margin. The chances of having the G'rin skull land on black when tossed from the throwing position were astronomically small. And that's why the payoff for such an event was so high.
While the others kept placing their bets on safe colours like red or yellow, you had bet black every single time. You would never get there by attrition since the minimum cost for each bet ensured that the house would have made triple what they would have to pay out to you when the skull eventually landed on black.
So it was a good thing you weren't relying on simple luck.
The thrower tossed the small skull and as it made it's journey through the air time seemed to slow down for you. An instant before it would have landed on purple (a nice payout for the foul-smelling ogre to your right), your hand shoots out and nudges the skull ever so slightly. The movement, imperceptible in it's speed, serves your purpose well. The G'rin skull falls to the cloth, spins and tumbles, finally coming to a rest on black.
You smile as the other ogres growl and hiss in anger.
That wash nishe, a voice in your head intrudes, ruining the moment. But I'd advishe againsht shticking around. That lot doshen't look to pleashed with you. They might try roughin' you up.
You had Blood-Bonded with Hargen a while ago, when you had finally decided that the two off you could pull off your operations (you running the con and Hargen watching your back) more easily this way. Blood-Bonding was a risky undertaking, compounded by the fact that it was hard to figure out which shaman would actually perform the ritual and which would just slit your throat and take your money while you were under the effects of the No'ha vapours. Still, you had run into enough situations where being able to communicate with each other without talking would have helped out and so you undertook the procedure. It had proven to be a wise decision time and time again.
It also allowed Hargen to communicate his paranoid thoughts to you at all times.
You flexed your hands, testing your lighting-fast reflexes and smiled.
Let them try.

You grunt in pain. The nerve of G'raaz. You'd just taken a hit that would have killed most ogres and all he could do was shout at you. Sometimes you wish you had never performed the Blood Bond rite with him. Maybe you should forget about watching his back for a bit, you think darkly.
You push the appealing thought out of your mind and stand. Your business associate certainly made some enemies today. Four teenage ogres armed with knives were circling around, trying to make a move on G'raaz. Hefting your club, you try to think of a strategy and decide on your favorite one: smash.
You swing the club with tremendous force, aiming to knock the ogres down like a pack of D'jik D'jiks. Three out of the ogres managed to jump out of the way in time. The fourth isn't so lucky. The club catches him squarely in the chest and sends him flying. Right into G'raaz as it happens. The teenage ogres flee for their lives as G'raaz lies on the ground, trying to catch his breath.

You have done the unspeakable. You have broken an ogre pact.
Last month, you hired an ogre to kill one of your enemies, but when he completed the contract, you refused to pay him, insisting that he had killed the wrong ogre.
The case was brought before the Council of Elders. The hitman presented the contract, in which you clearly wrote the name of the now dead ogre, proving that you were a liar and guilty of breaking something that was so sacred to the ogre nation.
In punishment, the council demanded that you pay the amount that you owed and in order to prove your worth again, demanded that you fulfill ten contracts. If these terms were not met, the council decreed that you would be banished from Ogreland.
You've paid up the hitman, but there's still one more condition to be met, before you can once again gain worth in the eyes of the council.
Abilities:
You have the ability to commune with the spirits. At night, you may summon this spirit to aid you:

Cursing under your breath, you pick yourself up from the ground.

You best get that money before Morlov's lackeys come back.

Walking down the street, you hear sighs from female ogres all around you. But today, you have a certain pretty ogress who's heart must be won.
Politely smiling at the ogresses who wave to you, you continue on to the home of Snarka Day'rnk. As you approach her house, you repeat the words of the poem you've prepared in your head to ensure that your recital goes well.
You knock on her door. There's no answer. On the second knock, the door opens and the pretty Snarka steps out.
"Oh Jokobo, what can I do for you?"
"Uh..." you mumble, desperately trying to remember the words of the poem.
"Jokjok's are yellow an' baby drag'ns are blue, I like ta bellow an' fight fo' you!"
From the look on Snarka's face, you can tell she liked it.
"Oh Jokobo, that was beautiful!" she exclaims as she wraps her arms around you and gives you a kiss.

"Ah, very nice Jon'rak. That should sell well."
Jon'ark was a master weapon-smith. But his weapons tended to be more for ceremonial use than actual combat value. Still, his shop seemed popular enough and his profession enabled you to conduct a mutually beneficial business deal.
Jon'rak would pay top coin for any weapon you "found" and would turn it into a beautiful piece of craftogreship.
The weapons usually came from the bodies of dead ogres who didn't need them anymore, but Jon'rak didn't know and even if he did you doubted that it would matter.
"I have a new shipment of weapons for you Jon'rak."
He smiles.
"Perfect, I can use them for my new weapons line! Bring them over anytime!"

Your parents raised you a devout and religious ogre and taught you to follow in the ways of Foorg'el the First Ogre. They spent years educating you and sent you to the finest ogre academy in the land. You spent those years diligently studying the Book of The First Ogre and learning about the origins of the great ogre nation. And so you became the pious and holy individual you are today.
Coming back to your home, you soon discovered just how ignorant the general populace was of the great Foorg'el. And so you have taken it upon yourself to educate them, for you were once ignorant too.

"I've gotten into shome trouble wit da Rot'karn clan" he says, fear apparent in his eyes.
Inside your head, you roll your eyes. Sporkto was always getting into trouble with nearby clans.
"Let me guess, you were seeing the Chieftain's daughter?"
The sheepish look on Sporkto's face confirms your assessment.
"She's da one for me, I can feel itsh in my bonesh!"
"And what happened?"
"Well, I wanted to impresh her, sho I picked shome flowersh for her."
Ah Sporkto, ever the romantic. You motion for him to continue.
"And when I went to 'er housh to give dem to her, her father anshwered da door..."
Sporkto was your friend, but sometimes, was he dense. In ogre tradition, the Chieftain's family only married into the best. Another Chieftain perhaps, or a wealthy noble. Sporkto was neither of those. You could only imagine the Chieftain's anger upon seeing a common street ogre such as Sporkto trying to woo his daughter.
"He chashed me outta da housh and sent one of his ogre-at-arms after me, to shcare me away from hish daughter!"
"Pleash protecsh me!"
You curse under your breath. Someday you're going to have to have a serious talk with Sporkto about sensibility. But for now, he is your friend and he is in danger.

Huffing and puffing you make your way through the forest.
All those years of eating Garrgan meat and drinking cheap ale have taken it's toll on you.
Moving through the forest, you stumble on something. You try to look down and see what it is, but you can't see anything beyond your enormous belly.
Shrugging, you continue on to your destination.
You used to be an agile and quick hunter, but years of over-consumption have turned you into a fat enormous ogre (even by an ogre's standards).
Some might think that this would stop you from carrying on the hunt. But being the clever ogre that you are, you've devised a simple, but ingenious method to catch your prey.
Why run when you can walk? Or more accurately in your case, why run when you can be drinking more ale instead?
Instead of chasing after your prey, be it Garrgan beast or ogre, you just set up tripwires to catch them for you.
All you have to do is set up a tripwire, go home and eat or drink to your heart's content and then revisit the tripwire and (hopefully) the dead body.
Ah, you've reached your destination. Sure enough, a dead Garrgan beast is lying next to your trap with a spike impaled through it's head.
Fat, you may be. But pity the fool that thinks you are harmless.

Watching your pursuer give up the chase, you reach into your pocket and pull out his pouch of gold. It's not like he needed it anyway, you think to yourself, chuckling.

You gaze up at the stars, admiring the way they float so gloriously in the sky. The roar of the Joz'neek bird quickly tears your eyes away from the sky. Moving silently still, you follow the sound into the woods.
The Joz'neek bird is stealthy. Blending in with the shadows at all times. The only indication that there even is a Joz'neek bird nearby, is the terrifying roar it sounds as it hunts for food. Besides being all but invisible, the Joz'neek bird has the most acute hearing of all the forest creatures. Only the most skilled hunter can catch a Joz'neek by surprise.
Still, you are undeterred. The fact that the bird is such a hard catch, is the very reason you are here tonight. An assassin must hone his skills all the time. And there are few better ways to do so than to hunt the Joz'neek bird.
The great bird roars again. Swiftly and silently you move, nearing your prey with every step.
You hear the cry of a young Bakbaba. The Joz'neek has caught it's own prey.
Moving into the area where the Bakbaba had cried out, you take your crossbow off your back and into your hands.
Your sharp eyes scan the area, but unsurprisingly you do not see the Joz'neek.
Your eyes and crossbow are pinned on the corpse of the Bakbaba now. Suddenly, your eyes catch what appears to be a shadow on the Bakbaba's head.
The Joz'neek.
Quickly, you move your crossbow towards the shadow and fire.
The Joz'neek cries out.
Another successful catch.
You move to the corpse of the Joz'neek and sling it's body over your shoulder.
Tonight you will dine well.

You look up to see the grinning face of your friend Baruk. Wearily, you try to put on a smile for his sake but you just can't do it.
"Shomtimes I just can't take it," you say. "Putting my life on the line to protect important ogres is one thing but rish'king everything for a fat worthlesh ogre? What'sh the point?"
"Ah, I shee you had to guard old Rek'ran last night," says Baruk as he winks at you. "But you know, even fat ogres like him can be important. After all, if I didn't have him to bribe, do you think I would be able to get my handsh on some nishe Borka Ale?"
Despite yourself, you smile. Borka Ale was extremely hard to come by and restricted to only important ogres. You could always count on Baruk to cheer you up.

You're sitting down and trying to quietly enjoy a drink in Gajork's Alehouse, but this guy clearly wants trouble.
"I said...you're...in... my...way..." the ogre taunts you, jabbing a chubby finger at you with every word.
You've had enough. This ogre is asking for it.
You take one more swig of ale and then slamming down the bottle on the table, stand up to face your aggressor.
The ogre grins. He's been waiting for this.
Without warning he sends a punch flying straight at your head.
You duck and using the full force of your body, slam him into a nearby wall.
He falls down and the wall splinters and cracks. Gajork ain't going to be happy.
The ogre, lifts himself up from the ground and charges at you, arms swinging. He hits you continuously, perfectly carrying the momentum from one blow to another. But you feel no pain, for now you are angry.
The ogre continues his assault, until you're backed up into a wall.
Using the wall to help propel you forward, you land a hard right on the ogre's face.
While he's stunned for a moment, you prepare to give one of the most brutal headbutts this bar has ever seen.
CLUNK.
Your heads collide and the ogre falls down, unconscious.
You lift a hand to your now bleeding head, chuckling.
You don't care about your own injuries, all that matters here is that you are the victor.

Even more of a problem is the ogre standing fully breathing next to the dead ogre. Dead ogres can't speak, but the ogre standing before you is a witness to your crime.
"You...you...killed im'!" the ogre stares at you in shock.
"CONSHTABLE! HELP!" he shouts.
"You'll pay for dis murder!"
Your voice is cold and dangerous.
"No, I'm afraid you are the one who will pay for this murder."
Cackling manically, you lift your staff up in the air.
"HAR'KROG THE MAGNIFICENT! I CALL ON YOU!"
The ogre stands still, paralyzed with fear.
"Jakano gorn'han bork, Har'krog creshnak!"
The ogre begins to twitch violently. After a few minutes he stops.
"W͢h̡at̀ ͟i̸s ͡your wíll, ̷m̕y̷ ̴m̷as͘ter?̶" (- fix zalgo in pm)
"You'll see." you say, smiling wickedly.
An ogre constable soon comes into view.
"What's going on here, did someone call for a constable?"
He sees the body on the floor.
"Who did this?" he asks, looking directly at you.
You mutter something under your breath. The ogre next to you speaks.
"I killed him! And I will kill many more!" he says, snarling viciously.
The constable moves forward.
"Not on my watch you won't!"
Bashing the ogre's head with a heavy club, the constable then cuffs him and leads him away.
As he moves off, he casts a suspicious glance in your direction. He then shrugs and moves off. He has his man, caught by confession! Therefore you must have nothing to do with it.

Brovna barks loudly after him.
Seeing that the trespasser is no longer around, you scratch Brovna gently.
"Good girl," you say, chuckling softly.
Many an intruder had been scared off your property by the imposing and dangerous looking wolf. But the truth was, Brovna was one of the most gentle beasts in the land. You doubted that if an intruder ever ignored Brovna's barking, that she would actually ever do anything more than try to play with the intruder.
Leading Brovna back into your home, you toss her a slab of meat. Brovna devours it hungrily.
Ever since you were young, you've shared a deep understanding and connection with animals. But Brovna has always been your favorite pet.
You scratch her chin and she growls happily.
"Good girl."

You are a master thief and tonight on a dare, you decided to rob the great Ogre Museum of Artifacts.
It was going well at first. You entered the building, found a nice shiny artifact and quietly tried to creep back out.
But then that damn guard caught sight of you.
Which brings us back to where you are now.
The guard is gaining on you. Any moment now, he will catch you. And that's the last thing you want to happen.
Thinking quickly, you reach into your pocket and grab a bunch of coins. You throw the coins on the ground, hoping to distract the guard.
Sure enough, the guard sees the shiny coins on the ground and stares at them greedily for a moment. But that was all the time you needed to break his line of sight and disappear.
So you lost a few coins, but you have the artifact and are safe and sound. A job well done, no doubt.
Abilities:
Steal (activated, night)-Target someone to steal one random item from items they have.
Distract (activated, night)-Discard 50 gold. Players targeting you tonight will be given the option to pick up the gold. The first player to pick up the gold will receive the gold and their action on you will be roleblocked. You grin evilly at him. He runs in the direction of the barracks as fast his legs can carry him.
When you speak, ogres tend to listen.

Your eyes follow the target through the marketplace. He's a paranoid one, looking over his shoulder every couple of seconds. Of course, his eyes just slide right over you. You've spent years training yourself to blend into your surroundings, whether they were a crowd of ogres or simply the dark shadows of nearby buildings. For this particular mission you've chosen the 'plain sight method', whereby you try to attract as much attention as possible in the hopes that this will convince your prey that you couldn't be an assassin sent to kill him. Surely, an assassin would be more quiet and assassin-like. Surely.
You turn back to the fish merchant who is shouting at you in outrage at the price you've offered him for his filleted T'rong.
"Greedy shcum!" you shout back in disgust and walk away from his stand to follow your quarry.
Carefully staying close to the walls as your target leaves the populated area of town and enters a sparsely populated area where only the rich resided, you put your skills to good use to make sure you aren't spotted.
Your target reaches a privates estate guarded by two tough looking ogres and enters. Well, this isn't going to be easy. But then again, it wouldn't be fun if it was.
You reach into your pouch and grab some J'ooya berries. Grimacing in preparation for the foul taste, you swallow them.
The effect is instant and potent. You feel your body's muscles ripple as the berry stimulant enters your system. Your vision is suddenly clearer than ever before and the sound of your beating hard is deafening to your now super-sensitive ears.
Grinning with overconfidence (a side effect that has caused the death of many some part of you recalls, but you quickly push the thought away), you dispense with the subterfuge and approach the two guards head on.
The first falls before he even realizes he's been attacked. Your fist, bursting with its newfound strength, rips through his head, almost dismembering it. The second ogre turns to react but he's no match for your drug-induced speed. A kick to his stomach sends him flying into the estate's wall. There's a loud crack and he lands, his limbs splayed in unnatural positions.
You grunt in satisfaction and enter the compound and spot your target just about to close the door to the large building he's just entered. With an unnatural speed fueled by the J'ooya berries you pull out your blowdart and bring it to your lips. The door closes. No doubt your target hasn't even realized that he's been hit. In a couple of days time, when he's lying on his deathbed he might recall this day.
You rush out of the compound and hurry to get to a safe location before you'll inevitably succumb to the J'ooya berries aftereffects and start dreaming of purple dragons.

You head on to the home of Vorgpak the tailor.
Vorgpak greets you by the door.
"Ah Hurg'l, good to see you! Your coat is ready."
"Very good, Vorgpak. How much was it again?"
Vorgpak tells you the price. You nod and reach for your money belt to pay him. But as you reach down, you discover that your money belt appears to be gone.
"What the..."
"What's the problem Hurg'l?" Vorgpak asks you.
"My money... it's gone!"
Realization suddenly dawns on your face. That ogre who bumped into you before... he wasn't clumsy, he was a thief!
Anger begins to cloud your face. Too long have these thieves run amok in Kragnan province.
Someone must bring an end to this despicable thievery. And that someone is going to be you.

The voices in your head wake you. Annoyed that they're calling on you again you're about to bark off something nasty at them when you realize how foolish that would be. The chances that Farzal Himself were listening were slim but still...
Besides, your annoyance is forgotten as soon as the sweet taste of the power fills you yet again. You moan in pleasure as it courses through your body, charging you with its demonic power.
You merely have to think and your consciousness is floating above the city while your mortal body collapses onto the floor. It's nighttime but that presents no visibility problems while you're in this state. The world is colored in magnificent hues, sparkling and changing every moment.
Your eyes alight upon a suitable target.
A young ogre embracing his sweetheart over a small bridge. He leans in to kiss the ogress and down you go. You float into his mind and with the power of Farzal take over, quenching all his thoughts about love and life and the future into one single, overwhelming idea:
BLOOD.
The kiss turns into a bite. A vicious bite that rips off half his sweetheart's face. She shrieks. A horribly unnatural sound. Not merely the sound of someone in unbelievable pain but the sound of someone who's reality has just collapsed around them. The one thing which they thought they could trust above all had just betrayed that trust in the most horrible way possible.
Your mind suddenly becomes calm and peaceful as the myriad voices are silent as they enjoy this delicious offering.
With blood dripping from his mouth, the ogre starts to tear at his former beloved, ripping her body to shreds. Within moments there is nothing left. That doesn't stop the ogre. Unable to do anything but obey the sickening command placed in his head he turns on the closest source of life. Himself.
He turns on himself, biting and clawing and ripping out his organs. It lasts only a few seconds before he collapses, his guts in disarray and his head ripped open.
Your mind is returned to your own body.
You stand up shakily.
You hear the buzz of the voices. It is a familiar sound that you have come to recognize as their way of saying thanks, while they are still too caught up in the pleasure of the act.
You smile.
"I live to serve."
Abilities:
Overtake Mind (activated,night,one-shot)-Claim target player's mind for Farzal. That player becomes your minion and gains the win condition "Help Rar'k Ch'agth achieve his win condition" instead of his present win condition. This player counts as a claimed soul. You may communicate together at any time. When your minion dies it will be revealed as Unknown with no revealed rolename or ability.
Blood Sacrifice (activated,night) - Sacrifice your minion. Kill target player.

Win Condition: Claim 5 souls (kills) for the mighty Farzal the Betrayer
Being the hammer on a lynch counts as claiming a soul.
Killing someone counts as claiming a soul.
Putting up a successful killing contract on a person counts as claiming a soul.

Bolded by me, for emphasis. Did it actually say this in the item description? And Seppel still tried to use Azrael having the Falcon as a point for DV? If anything, that would be a fantastic point against him.
I don't think I played that badly, to be honest. I tried to do my best, and it seemed like I held off the one attack on me alright, although that could have been more of a product of the headdress wagon that was building on Zindabad and not really anything I said.
Props to Syrenz, I really enjoyed the game for the short time that I was able to play in it.
I know I lurk, sometimes more often than others. It's not because I'm lazy (kinda) but more the fact that Mafia is hard. People clamp down for little slips, as they rightly should, but a result of that is it takes a lot of effort and thinking to really post something that won't lead to my mislynch. I'm hoping that as I play more games and get better, it will start to flow easier and take less effort. Until then, I apologize to anyone that gets upset for my lurking. I know its annoying.
The best piece of advice I've gotten on this came from TFF in JW Mafia. He said, if you're town, just say what you want to say. Don't try to make it sound ok, because decent players can tell if you have done that, and they'll assume is for scum-related reasons.
You have to trust that your true intent will come through in the post. Of course, I'm still working on this myself.

This did make me happy when I noticed that I got it right. I guess I can use this game as an example, just do what I did here, but more of it. It helps when you say things that turn out to be correct though.
This is true. I certainly would call someone for intentionally trying to appear town, so I guess I really shouldn't do that myself. I hope my true intent will come through, because I get a little scatter-brained at times. It's something that takes refining, that's for sure.
