I wasn't trying to be rude, I just remember how much that whole thing benefited the scum, and the town not at all. And I really don't see why a mass claim is necessary, but if Puzzle is *sure* that it can catch a scum and clear a townie(other than town roles that would be clear anyway), then that's different. I just want to make sure he's absolutely certain, not running another bad gambit.
As for CP's analysis, I don't remember Grak proving his ability at all, and I didn't know that we know what Alx' ability is.
I think that Raf is still the most likely person to be the SK.
Doesn't the old saying go "Beware those bearing gifts"? I think this is the first, and very possibly the last time I'd ever be listed at the top of someone's "most townie" list. I'm not sure how to take that.
Anyways, I've been doing some re-reading and I'm come to the conclusion that I believe Alx is likely town. Which, I have to admit, really sucks because his posting has been scumtastic for the most part.
@Cyan: Grak hasn't publicly shown or claimed his ability and Alx claimed his ability as the rp maker in post 2925
My question is what do we know about Xyre's role that makes it "proven?" I don't have anything down in my list of claims at this point. What did I miss?

What did he mean, this role is a "tree" that has been cut down?
\
He was referring to Grak's 'tree theory' explained on day 1.
I'm whatever to a mass claim. I'll go along with one, but I think we've got enough targets not to need one. Hawkeye and RafK both seem like better places to me.
I am against a massclaim at the moment, I feel like there are enough leads at the moment that we don't need it. A massclaim would be a good idea only if we were stalled. More after work...mmmm floor cleaner.
OK, Cyan's PBPA contains some totally bogus stuff (like where it attacks Hawkeye for attacking Cyan and Axelrod), and some stuff I, like, don't understand dude (like where Cyan says Hawkeye is a hypocrite because of 2053)
But I think he's totally right about three things:
2) Hawkeye's act at the end of day 1 was dead dodgy, man.
3) Hawkeye is heinously luuuuurking, luurrrrrrrrrrkkkiiiiing and talking 'bout little side things a lot rather than making an effort to scum hunt. Attacking Axelrod is the closest he's been recently, and while I totally agree with HE7 about Cyan and Axelrod being bogus neutrals, I still totally disageee that this means lynching them any time soon.
'Does not fit'? What the hell does that mean? Obviously it 'fits', he's done it everyday since day 1, and all of us that have been targeted have verified it.
He means two townies having secret chatting abilities doesn't "fit", dude.
If 'does not fit' somehow means 'is anti-town', you're going to need to present a case that is vastly more compelling 'Charm Master told us some info'. Especially since, according to you, Charm Master lied to us all about his role. How does that make him a more credible source than Dagger, exactly?
CM didn't have to reveal anything, but instead he left a message behind with ZDS- probably the most clearestest dude here, dude. No pressure on him to do it, and total control of the info with a most excellent dude, that's pretty awesome.
Who died and gave Dagger more credibility than CM?
Right. Charm Master also claimed to be The Oracle, which was apparently a complete lie. I'd say that's more relevant than him giving a townie some info.
Also, I wasn't attacking Hawkeye for going after me. I was attacking him for the manner in which he did so. Especially since he later repeatedly attacked other people for doing the same. And his attack on Axelrod was clearly nothing more than just an effort to avoid attacking atlseal. Especially since he has completely dropped said attack today.
Take note that players in Limbo can now be targeted with abilities, people.
We have a key question that needs to be asked now...
Yeah man. it's "how did you know to check the rules for a new rule?"
Can Dagger use his claimed ability to bring Charm_Master into tonights "group" discussion to find out what he was talking about before?
That is a most excellent idea, although it would be more excellent if the other members of the group weren't Tweedledum, Tweedledee, the Spoon and the guy who bogarted the excellent Charm Master's spot.

Mayhaps forsooth CM himself is not the Oracle, but aparently the rotating role is mostly the Oracle, and CM made sure his correct info couldn't be lost to the town. Even if ZDS died, Vampyr could reveal it.
Knowing that the people taking the Oracle spot are definitely different is totally important to know, and we wouldn't know without CM. If the Puzzler has the choice, I think it would be totally excellent to get CM back tomorrow to explain more.
The strongest point, I feel, in case against HE7 is his voting record. I actually can agree with Cyan that his support of the Kraj lych says nothing about his alignment (and have said that about players for several days) because EVERYONE wants a cult dead.
His reactions to both the loran and atl wagons have enough strength to warrant a vote: Hawkeye7
Hawkeye is always hard to get a read on. I suppose I will go back and look at that dreadnaught from Cyan sometime in the no-too-distant future. The ability claim is odd. It's not scummy, it's not townish. It seems like it could cause more confusion than it would be worth. Yet, it does seem to fit at least to some degree with his explanation for why he went after DYH.
Abbey is the single biggest blank for me right now. Which means he's pretty high on the suspect list.
Alx: could you explain one thing (and sorry if you already explained this): your ability, it forces players to role-play as what exactly?

Yeah, but it's not that he didn't revolve that we're worried about.
I don't really get it, honestly. He claimed to be made Vanilla last night. So..what are we worried about, then? The fact that he's still in the game lends credibility to this. We either believe him..or we don't.
There is a sound like a pebble hitting a tin can at high speed.
Clink.
The town scatters.
ClinkclinkclinkclinkclinkclinkCLINK!
Cyan wades through the crowd, brushing aside the bystanders, spatters of blood erupting from his back, shedding sparks and splinters of metal with every step.
He grabs Axelrod and throws him under his arm, withdrawing a HK G36 assault rifle with the other. Using his body as a shield, he lowers Axelrod out the window and out of the line of fire, holding him by the collar and dangling him over the city-scape below, waving gently in the wind as bullets streak past only inches away.
Cyan's head swivels, looking for a target, finger resting on the trigger. The rain of bullets stops. Something dark and metal skitters across the glass floor, coming to rest against Cyan's foot. His pupils expand.
Cyan throws Axelrod straight up into the air outside the skyscraper like a rag doll. The grenade explodes, sending fire everywhere, and obliterating the entire corner of the building. Cyan lies in a burnt heap of flaming cloth and scorched glass, his servos groaning. Then the corner of the building gives way, and he falls.
Axelrod, still flying through the air, begins his descent and collides with the top of the glass pyramid, spinning in a steep roll towards the edge. He takes a fist and plunges it into the glass, but merely cracks it. He slides past a baseball-sized hole caused from exiting bullets, now mere feet from the edge. He punches his hand through it, expanding the gap, the jagged glass ripping the skin of his hand to shreds. His wrist, unable to bear the full weight of his falling body, cracks sickeningly.
With his free hand and legs, Axelrod struggles to hold to the slick glass. Completely exposed.
From the side of the building, comes a powerful crunch. Another. And another. Charred, smoking, his flesh half-burnt off, Cyan punches his own handholds into the side of the building with his fists, the G36 hanging on its strap at his side. He pulls himself halfway over the edge with one arm, the G36 swinging into position. A blur of dark motion darts away from the entrance to the top. Cyan squeezes the trigger on the underslung grenade launcher. It arches towards the entrance and detonates. Cyan pulls himself the rest of the way up, and barrels towards the entrance. For a few moments, the G36 spits fire down the steps. Then Cyan returns to the middle of the room, brushing pieces of glass and metal from his shoulders, the barrel of the G36 smoking with heat.
Axelrod, still nursing his wrist, swings down onto the top level.
One by one, the town returns and gathers itself to resume its hunt. The battle continues.
With 14 alive, it is 8 to lynch.
Cyan, I need to know the phrasing of your protection ability. Because if it is what I think it is, then Azrael is a dick and he's trying to make me completely useless.
I'm not sure what Axelrod being here matters? Did you mean Azrael?
Anyway, like I said before, if Axelrod is targeted with a kill, I will die in his place...clearly. Of course, me being protected will result in nobody dying.
Well, that was interesting. The Mafia are probably pretty happy right about now.
So, Poll: Who would the town like to be dead right about now?

No. I mean Axelrod. He's not here. There is no way that scene could have happened. I took him away to another physical location. He is not in the city with the rest of us.
I have sent a PM to the mod asking him if he screwed up or if there are just flavor issues that are trumping anything else and he has to make due. But if that's the case, he's royally screwed me because now my entire ability looks like a farce becaues clearly he's here with us in that scene.
according to my ability, that scene COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.
No one PM'ed me nothing. Either about being "taken away" or about being shot at. For whatever that's worth.
Grak: are you going to say what being "taken away" is supposed to do? I know it's not some kind of Day-Protect ability - not with you using it 3 times on atlseal.

Grak: are you going to say what being "taken away" is supposed to do? I know it's not some kind of Day-Protect ability - not with you using it 3 times on atlseal.
You're wrong.
I might as well claim it now, because Azrael has either screwed me and it's just going to look worse the longer I wait OR he's going to fix the scene and it will be obvious what my ability did.
I took you to another location far away. While there, you are immune to day kills. You should have remained there for the whole day.
Now, in the case of ATL, my ability failed when he was shot. So it was fine that he was still here.
But in your case, he specifically told me that my ability succeeded. Which means you are not in the city. You are secured away elsewhere.
Now, if he just decided that a bodyguard still takes the hit even if you are protected, fine. I've used that same rule before. But he should have written the scene with you not there and Cyan getting shot up and no mention of you anywhere.
Something else. This should eliminate all speculation that Axelrod is the SK. From the scene, it is clear that I was acting to protect him, which means that he was the real target. And somehow, just somehow, I doubt that he targeted himself with his own SK in order to make me lose a life and make it look like he's not the SK. As the SK, I doubt you even can target yourself.
It wouldn't surprise me if Grak continually day-protected atlseal. He was defending him as a claimed power role even on the day he was lynched, so he clearly believed atlseal, until it became obvious that atlseal accepted the spoon, and should have been untargetable, but apparently wasn't.
Cyan: It would, except for the fact that there is no good reason for any SK to target Axelrod today. Look back at the SKs targets up to now: he's deliberately avoided targeting anybody that was a potential lynch that day. The fact that today, he decided to target someone he both had good reason to think would not be effective, and also had a good chance of swinging opinion away from Axelrod as a potential lynch, suggests that, at the very least, the SK doesn't want Axel dead.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
Grak, why would you protect me when Cyan is my claimed bodyguard? I can't get daykilled if he's telling the truth. And if, somehow, he were lying and I got day-killed, then Cyan would be a rather easy lynch at that point. I don't understand your logic at all. We've been claimed (as much as we've claimed) since Day 1. The day-killer hasn't shot at me on Day 2, 3, 4 (and you weren't "protecting" me any of those days either). Why now?

ding ding.
I protected ATL as soon as he claimed day 1. Then again day 2 because we wanted his results.
Then day 3 he showed up and claimed to be vanilla, so I backed off.
Then he started hinting at stuff and I wanted the discussion to play out, so day 4 I protected him again, and then we lynched him because it turns out he was lying.
At the end of the day, you will remember we got into the discussion abotu Axel being targetable. So I targeted him just to find out if I could. And I did, and it worked.
I can pretty well prove that either I am telling the truth or I'v ebeen planning this elaborate lie for a long time. Back when we lynched Alice in wonderland on day 1 I mentioned that my role involved places, but didn't seem to interact with his claimed role.
Grak, why would you protect me when Cyan is my claimed bodyguard? I can't get daykilled if he's telling the truth. I wasn't actually trying to protect you! I was trying to find out if you were targetable!
The day killer hasn't been shooting at logical targets AT ALL this game! I have had no shot of guessing his targets, and when I've randomly gotten lucky twice, the mod has decided my ability was pre-empted.

Now, who wouldn't want Axel dead?
Is this a flip-flop? Are you now suggesting I'm Mafia, when up until this moment I was so clearly Neutral/SK to you?
And since when was there a "good chance" of me swinging today? Because you voted me twice? See me tremble....

The SK has to kill Axelrod eventually. He can't win with Axelrod alive. How is he going to get rid of him? A lynch? He's alone. he can't lynch someone who has a bodyguard.
Axelrod isn't even vaguely a lynch candidate. So the SK is trying to help the mafia get rid of troublesome players who are semi-confirmed.

Well, gee, let's see, Dagger targeted me, and I happen to have 4 other players who can vouch for that fact. Do you think we are all lying? Did you decide that you can't just take our collective word for it, must verify it for yourself and therefore completely throw away a potentially valuable resource? Yes, this seems like a solid strategy?
Also there was the flowers, which no one else can vouch that I got, except CP said he also got some later, so presumably they are really in the game (unless, again, we are both lying about it).
You just tried to shoot me, didn't you. Come on, admit it.

Anyway, like I said before, if Axelrod is targeted with a kill, I will die in his place...clearly. Of course, me being protected will result in nobody dying.
@Grak: Ahh, I see. Sounds like you need to get some clarification, for sure.
It wouldn't surprise me if Grak continually day-protected atlseal. He was defending him as a claimed power role even on the day he was lynched, so he clearly believed atlseal, until it became obvious that atlseal accepted the spoon, and should have been untargetable, but apparently wasn't.
Now, who wouldn't want Axel dead?
Mafia MVP BM Mafia
Mafia MVP Matrix Mafia
Agreed.
