Ham, I'm toying with the idea of trying a Gisela deck. I think it'll combine the best of everything Boros and some MAJOR damage capabilities with her "Furnace of Rath" effect.

Yeah, he gets degenerate very quickly as well. He's one of those generals that the whole table hates on.
"Don't let him untap with Arcum out!" is a relatively effective rallying cry, once a table has lost to him.

Also, I tend to prefer Duel Commander. When playing multiplater, I go to Riku, and try to replicate terastadon and Time stretch as much as possibly so my opponents watch me turn there cardboard into a circus of elephants. I'm not a nice person.

I should finish my mostly red "Screw You Blue Player!" list. It was started from my hate of games turning into a permission and bounce war and, my most hated, masturbation station decks. You know those decks that seem to take 40mins to go thru a turn, then EOT take another turn or take your turn?
Course now I know about the Norrin deck and ohhhhh boy this is gonna get fun if I have both!

EDH sounds like a lot of fun I'm checking out a LGS tomorrow (only been playing online since "my return"), hopefully it's a cool place and a chance to explore these different alleys. Might get some use off that old magic box as well after all.

Does anyone here pay attention to the Modern Metagame? Since its going to be FNM sanctionable next year, I am gonna have to actually get a deck (have UWR aggro/tempo sleeved atm) to play. Is modern burn able to beat a lot of the other decks, or is it just in a bad place at the moment? I also can't decide if I wanna be straight Red burn, or splash a color like black or white. Thoughts?

On the other hand, I know that Jund isn't running finks currently (MD, anyway), and they're heavily played, so if Burn could beat them, you'd be in good shape.

As for splashing, there really isn't a lot of reason not too in the format currently--except that blood moon effects are pretty awesome right now, if you can use them without screwing yourself.

It might be the case that you need to add a sacred foundary to the mana base that you have enchatnment hate against leylines in SB games and omiting Grim Lavamancer is suspect, but off the top of my head, this is what I came up with Khaos. Personally, I don't think you need Bob, but to each his own.

I do know that the frequency of Kitchen Finks and the lack of some key cards (Sulfuric Vortex, Fireblast, Price of Progress, and Flame Rift probably being the most important) made it at least less impressive than one would think in the earlier metas.
On the other hand, I know that Jund isn't running finks currently (MD, anyway), and they're heavily played, so if Burn could beat them, you'd be in good shape.

Hmm...I like this, but I would definitely play fetches so I think I'd probably take out VD for Lavamancer.
