Well, we are certainly allowed to discuss our votes (even though you need to PM me to actually cast a vote!)
My two picks:
1. Bargaining Table. a) It fits our clan perfectly in name alone; b) the flavor text is fantastic; c) certainly not played in any tournaments; d) certainly many ways in which we can play with the artwork.
2. Shivan Dragon. It was the first card I ever really wanted, but I never got it until later editions. By that point, the original artwork was gone. Even though I'm not a major fan of R, ti's a card on the list that exemplifies the old school casual player.
Hey, those are just my votes. Feel free to discuss them or your own!
my reasons for voting:
1. Butcher Orgg, the giant fink
2. Bargaining Table, the place where finks and orggs meet to battle.
1. As a johnny with spike tendencies, this card is so much fun. It's fairly obscure, the artist is amazing (i've talked with him a few times. check out his other stuff including recent llanowar elves). The only place you'd see this card played would be in a casual setting where fun and terror go hand in hand with obscure cards that do weird things. Not to mention he looks like a huge fink and the flavor text is pretty funny too.
2. The perfect card for our namesake clan. It's fun to play and meets my other casual requirements: fairly obscure (maybe not played much anymore), great art, awesome flavor text, and the theme seems iconic to mtg itself.
Also, just as a note - obviously we're a new clan, and as such it appears these contests will be my first responsibilities as Clan Representative; I will try to do my best as Clan Representative, but you may need to be a little patient with me while I get the hang of the way these contests work.
I'm excited about the card creation contest. i've got a great idea. an equipment that can transform to equip two creatures in order to run it. some sort of contraption/vehicle that can't be run by one creature.

Good idea. We could make it a "Contraption" so it works with this guy.
A Side:
Lost Technology
Artifact
3
Transform: Flip this card over if you have 3 or more riggers under your control
Riggers cost 2 less to cast
B Side:
Mobile Factory
Artifact- Equipment
MultiEquip 3: Pay 3 for each creature you're going to equip this to. May be no more than 3 creatures. Creatures equipped this way must attack and block together.
If one or more creatures are equipped to mobile factory, those creatures have Haste and Protection from Red.
If two or more creatures are equipped to mobile factory, those creatures have Trample and Protection from Green.
If three creatures are equipped to mobile factory, those creatures are Riggers in addition to their other creature types and gain "tap 3 creatures equipped to Mobile Factory: assemble a 0/1 Contraption and put it onto the battlefield."
If there are no longer any creatures equipped to Mobile Factory, transform this card (flip it over)
put out some riggers for cheaper, equip them, they get stronger and end up just being a factory for contraption creatures.
if you have 3 steamflogger bosses equipped to it, and you tap them, you put 8 0/1 contraptions into play. and the bosses themselves would be +3/+0 = 6/3s with haste, trample, pro green/red and have to attack together and block together. of course any creature could equip to this because they'd become riggers in the process

Love the idea! Probably a rules no-no...but maybe we're casual enough to make it work! Another thought is a creature to planeswalker transform card (I think a number of people were hopeful this card would be created in Dark Ascension, but alas).
Voting (in a PM of course) for Butcher Orgg and Bargaining Table for our Clan Sig.
I've been working on my Keeper deck for a while now and would appreciate some feedback on it. However, it's too powerful for a lot of 'casual' definitions, but it's not at all competitive level, so rather than post it in one of the forums I figured I'd see what my fellow finks think of it.
For those of you who don't know what a Keeper deck is, the idea of them is to run lots of situational answers (i.e. creature removal, artifact removal etc), and counters, whilst using lots of draw spells and tutors to find them, and recursion spells to keep using them if the need arises.
Cards I'm currently considering removing: Duress - Might be better replaced with another counter (perhaps Mental Misstep or Steel Sabotage?). Trinket Mage - High mana cost, not always useful. Fastbond - Generally useless after turn two or three.
have you considered raven's crime? it turns your late game land draws into useful discard.
I really like the creature to planeswalker idea too. that'd be sweet. talk about an "ascension" haha. too bad it wasn't in this release.
there was only really one human to zombie card and the zombie was junk, so what if we took a card that was really good at first and then make it worse, like it degenerated. but obviously not so bad that people wouldn't play it. i've also always loved the idea of Thornling, morphling, and torchling. maybe we make a new superman card that's more based on evolution or something. Like a skill tree you have to choose between which path to take: Do i want a life link trampler? or a Flying Life gainer. etc.
I realize this doesn't fit the transform idea, but maybe it would have options like this on both sides. different evolution for each path you decide to take.

In the last GMAD when Blutsau listed all of the names and rolled the dice, the name Sunshine Dan was right above BlackVise. It reminded me of the song Black Sunshine by White Zombie.
Hey all! Just wanna let you know I am heading for panama city for a week tonight after work. It is a family thing but i am hoping to sneak off and find a cool store to check out. I will catch up when i get back and update my sig then if the image is finished. Have a good week!

That's too funny. Every time I see Sunshine Dan's name on the GMAD list, I think of Katrina and the Waves.

Enjoy your vacation! I sincerely hope, however, that the "cool store" you plan to check out is not a store for MTG supplies. You're on vacation, man!
Our friend Gaea's Regent plans to work on the design for us in the upcoming days. I went ahead and asked him to try to use the flavor text from Bargaining Table in the signature. I'm quite grateful that he volunteered, so cheers to Gaea's Regent!
I totally forgot about it. I usually like to buy a booster pack or two of each set when it's released, but I'm not sure I will with M13, it just doesn't seem like a very fun set... Unless I manage to pull an Omniscience.
I don't think the set is bad, I just didn't get pumped for it. I'm more excited for Ravnica this October.
My friend and I split a box of M11 a few years back, and now I have so many cards that I just don't know what to do with. Rather than spend the money on boosters, I now just go online and buy the cards I want. I'll buy a few packs for a draft, but that's it.
M13 is cool for reprinting my favorite cards. Stuffy doll and Akroma's Memorial but we're back to elves and goblins again effectively killing the devil theme
Actually I didn't really like the push Merfolk gets with a new lord, and it even trumps all the lords they had previously since this new one is so much better.
The likes of Vampires and Soldiers just gets reprints. That effectively means no change nor update to power level or variant of these tribes via playing lords. Since there is no Knight Exemplar reprint, Knights tribal can only continue to be Modern and Legacy formats.
Sorry for ranting. But these are my thoughts on M13 .

Yes, in a PM. I assumed we were talking about Shadowmoor instead of the FNM special art. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it, though!
Love your new avatar, BTW.
