So, episode 2 of Apollon is out (same with Tsuritama). Lupin ep 3 and PBC (best show of the season) ep 3 are out. Where is everybody? Is it finals week and I didn't know about it or something? Eaten by Nyarlathotep? Died from Acchi Kocchi (aka HNNNNGGGG: The Animation)?

Well asides from work, I've been doing fanfiction commissions for someone and I don't think he likes to be kept waiting.
I managed to do something for myself though in the form of my post on the NSFW part of the forums. (Sorry to all minors who can't read it though. It's heavily anime-inspired too. :embarrass:)
Ah well, I'm currently listening to an anime radio station on shoutcast.
*hears KimiKiss Pure Rouge Op*
Oh great... just how many series have I neglected to watch?! GRRRR DX
So Acchi Kocchi 3 is out... honestly i need to watch this thing from a distance in order not to become diabetic, its just too much HFCS type sweetness...
Area no Kishi is still good, and Accel World 3 is also looking good. im waiting for more Saint Seiya Omega (its honestly a full on nostalgia trip... they need to explain how Yuna got a hold of Marin's Cloth...) and believe it or not im still liking Vanguard, so with the new season out im hoping episode two airs soon.

Bakuman is drawing to a close, now what am I going to read?
Actually it already ended... which is a very sad thing the series had so much more going on for it.
Sure the completion of their dream/promise was a huge thing but they still had to actually get married, then the whole Mashiro/Miho career, the rivalry with Eiji, Team Fukuda, there was just a hell of a lot of stuff they could have done with the material, in someways it feels like a rushed ending

Yeah well, you're not alone. Air Gear was also officially announced to end in four chapters and by then, it's just Naruto and Fairy Tail for me until I can recall what else I have to catch up on. >_<;;;

Well maybe Bleach will still be around, its supposed to be the final arc but knowing the guy he can stretch an arc for 5 volumes easy....
As for what to catch up on... stongest disciple keinichi? Kuroko no Basket? Gantz? Ratman? ..... man i need more series to read...
============================================================================
Edit: So no updates.... lets change that.
Ok well lets see:
Gundam Age: I dont know, they keep doing generation jumps... which is kinda cool and all but at the same time makes me wonder what the hell they are planning here.
Hiiro no Kakera: Dont know why i didnt mention this before but this series is actually kinda intriguing, its slow as hell though...
Amnesia Ghost: Im liking this show a lot, the latest episode is funny but not as ecchi as the last two.
Saint Seiya Omega: At least they are explaining the whole element thing now which while not the best way to do things at least is sensible enough.
Hyouka: Series just came out and already im loving it, nothing more to say, if you havent seen it yet go watch it right now.
Yeah, new Lupin is amazing. Then again, the director did REDLINE, so no surprises there.
Not really, Takeshi Koike is not the director this time. Still, his influence shows.
Time to report on all the shows I picked up this season. Boy, this is going to be a wall, since I spent a lot of time offline because of my network issues.
First things first, I love the setting, even though it's not that original. All the details about the Burst Link interface, the cables, the ways Direct Link affects the daily life make it very believable, yet still exciting to watch. I also actually like the main character. Sure, he's yet another whiny schoolkid, but at least he has a reason for being one, and there is a good potential for him to evolve. I'm very glad that it's going to be two-cours long.
As expected, it's as if there was no pause in the first place. The quality is still top-notch, the action is still glorious, and the characters are as likable as always. Speaking of which, Caster turned out to be my favorite Servant out of this War because of his backstory and death scene. Surprisingly, that makes all my favorite Servants out of each Fate installment Casters. Coincidence? I don't think so.
This show is just crazy, and I love it. Be it Nyaruko herself, the OP theme, or the Lovecraft references (that are actually faithful to the source material!), there is fun to be had for everyone, and I'm surprised that they couldn't make this before those short and sub-par Flash series. Definitely the most fun show of the season, by far.
I don't watch action series that often, and that may be the main reason of Jormungand looking so fresh to me. First of all, Koko is amazing, but that's obvious. Secondly, the themes give me a nice headache as I try to wrap my mind around everything happening on the screen (what was the first episode about, anyways?), which I consider a good thing. Lastly, it reminds me of Gunslinger Girls, but that's probably because it's one of the only realistic action mangas I've read, and I liked it. Perhaps I should watch more of the similar stuff, like Black Lagoon.
I'm yet another person who has no experience with Lupin, so Fujiko gives me the glimpse of something that's much, much older than me, and that's still lovable by many. Like I said, Koike's work is seen in every frame, especially in the shading, and I love that there such daredevil series still exist.
As a fan of the original manga, I'm not impressed with the TV series so far. Sure, it's not based on the best parts (though it is based on those parts that got me hooked), but the greatest upside of the original, at least for me, is the artstyle, which is much weaker on TV. I dunno, it's like there's not enough shading, so it all looks flat. Also, Gainax seem to be pretty lazy about drawing the details, so the ending's super-deformed style looks more like something zoomed out of the background. At least Shiranui is even more glorious than in the manga, and the ED theme is great.
It may sound strange, but the first episode seemed even more dirty than that of Fujiko to me. Sure, there is no nudity, and it's about a faithful relationship between a boy and a girl, but the way it's presented just gives me some bad vibes. Also, the artstyle looks a bit retro, but not in a good way, like in Fujiko. I dunno, maybe it gets better later, but for now, this is the only Spring show that I haven't watched for more than one episode.
Well, what can I say? Jazz is awesome. The jam session in the second episode literally brought me to tears, and that should mean something. But there is also plot in this thing, and it seems simple enough to get all the development it deserves in 11 episodes. For now, I just hope that the Jesus analogies that I see about Sentarou don't mean that he's going to die - unless his death leads to more jazz for us.
This show is obviously compared with Tasogare Otome a lot, but out of the two, I like the former less. Sure, there are nice characters, nice plot, nice music, but it seems to be lacking something for me to consider it more than "nice". I still like it, and I will watch it to the end, but I'm not enjoying it as much as I'd like to.
Now, what exactly do I like about Ghost Yomi? Pretty much everyhing, I guess. It's the same thing as with Sankarea, but all the "nice" things seem "great" to me, and maybe, just maybe, that's because of the director, who was one of the assistant directors of Pani Poni Dash, my single most favorite anime ever. Of course, Yuuko's charms help, too, and she's far from what I expected from the main heroine of such story. The only thing I don't get about this show is, why the hell does she not sing the OP and ED? She's a well-known idol singer (thanks to idolm@ster and her role as Takane), she's drawn singing in both OP and ED, but both of them are performed by different artists. Why?
I never expected Nakamura to do something like this after [C] (which is one of my favorite shows of 2011, by the way), but that's one of the things I like about him - he's never staying at the same theme for too long, preferring to explore new ideas with his every project, with each of them still having his unique style. Tsuritama, of course, is no exception. The thing that I like most of all about Tsuritama is that it feels very fresh. I consider Spring my favorite season because of all the colors returning to the world around me, especially the blue colors of the sky, and Tsuritama is as blue as it comes. The great OST, charming characters and intruguing plot are just a bonus to me, but a nice bonus nonetheless.
Finally, I was hesitant about watching Upotte, since I expected it to be either too complicated for me, a complete newbie in guns, or have little to no relation to its main theme ("Well, let's call our girls by the guns they weild and call it a day!"). Luckily, episode 2 showed me that it's more about guns than girls here, and that I shouldn't worry about getting all the references, since they're explained in the best way an otaku may get it done - with cute antics. Now I consider it to be the main "sleeper hit" of the season, and would recommend it to everyone who might have dropped it after episode 1.
Whew, that was a lot, as I expected. Sure feels nice to have such a good season.
Regarding Tasogare - I'm guessing the VA belongs to a different record company than the one producing the music... these sort of things happen all the time. Idolmaster - King Record, and the show's music is by Media Factory/Lantis? They're sworn enemies.
Zettman is still good... it seems im the only one watching it
You are not alone. I'm a fan of shows like Zetman. In the past I've enjoyed Soultaker, Sadamitsu the Destroyer, Casshern and Devilman, and I've been meaning to see Guyver for a while now. I'm enjoying Zetman pretty well so far.
So not really anime related but anyways... just came home from watching Avengers, if for some reason you havent yet watched it, change that RIGHT NOW!, it was honestly as awesome as the hype makes it look, yes the plot is incredibly bland and i was so totally right about the villain and secret teaser ending...
So yeah great movie... totally worth the $35 bucks i had to pay for 11 tickets

It's clearly a month in, but I'm actually following this season.
Picking up with incredible speed and tension, the plot continues to thicken. While I have episode 17 queued up and ready, I haven't watched it yet--probably after the prerelease and the MOCS right now.
I definitely like the upswing in the action. With Kiritsugu now employing his means to take Masters and Servants (so far Kayneth and Lancer; Saber took care of Caster, really) alike out of the competition, it becomes clear how cold-blooded and methodical he is, but at the same time, the contrast with Saber's honor is juxtaposed excellently.
It's light-hearted, slice-of-life, and comedy. Did I mention that Sunrise is animating?
Yea, that caught me by surprise. Not their cleanest work, animation-wise, but it's a fun watch, and if you care about seiyuu, the protagonists are the members of Sphere (for what it's worth, I don't follow this). The machinations of the great shrine rock are rather whimsical in nature (hence slice-of-life), and watching them try to figure out how to make it as applicable to their lives as possible is a hoot.
There's a lot to be had here, even if the premise seems a bit out there. Granted, I'm not a fan of how Haru has to be so distinctly different from the rest of the characters existing in the world, but it sets the story in motion.
Technobabble aside, the power in Burst Linking and accelerating seems to be well shown here, and there's a lot yet to be discovered. Clearly, there are enemies lurking in the woodwork, closer than one might like, but that's as tropey as it gets. It's a decent watch, but nothing to write home about (yet?).
Surprisingly refreshing, given the whole "I CAN SEE SPIRITS" theme. The slice-of-life/comedy elements interspersed with Yuuko's past, as well as the various tales that people take as her true form, come out to form varying images that Teiichi deals with (and subsequently dispels, we can assume).
The characters are clearly eccentric enough, which makes it a pretty fun watch. I also liked the first episode's execution, even if it seems like some would argue that they only really got half an episode (seeing it with Yuuko's interactions was much more fun, obviously).
A zombie anime this season that doesn't try to rip holes in your sanity and do inane things?
Well, that's a bit of a stretch. Seeing as our protagonist is hellbent on becoming a necromancer to revive his dead cat, there's some things to be said about the passion and fervor of a zombie fanatic (maybe like a Zombie version of Bile Urchin?), especially when his life crosses paths with proper rich girl Sanka Rea (see what they did there?).
I'm pleasantly satisfied with the developments thus far. Casting her family as a bunch of tight-stiffs with their own issues (father has some doting issues, mother cares about booze and image [in that order]), only by escaping this world and coming back as an undead will she be freed from the shackles of her old life. It's out there, since you'd normally assume the walking dead are mindless, but her mentality hasn't really changed one bit (and how funny is that?).
Keeping my eye on this one--seems nice enough.
There's other anime I'm watching this season, but I'm blanking on them, and my next round starts shortly. Probably will post again with more of 'em.
Saint Seiya Omega: So yeah im the only one apparently watching it here but i like it, new Ikki has been shown so yay for that.
Zetman: Two things i can say about this show: 1) I want Jin to transform into red Zet soon, 2) I hate that rich boy... he is clearly going to become the 'bad guy thinking he's a good guy' type character and i just want him to die... its not worth dealing with all the crap just to have him turn into a proper hero by the end of the series.
Nyarko: If for some reason you havent picked this series up yet you better quit checking this clan, and anime in general.

Maoh: Juvenille Remix Vol. 7..... It really was interesting. I won't spoil it, but I will say that I did not even feasibly see what was coming. It really made my jaw drop.....
Nyarko: If for some reason you havent picked this series up yet you better quit checking this clan, and anime in general.
You heard the man folks... I guess this clan, and anime, are just not for me. I guess I'll... I'll just pack my things and go then... *sniffle* T_T
Meanwhile, I've been on a binge of catching up with all kinds of exotic, lost and forgotten old series and shorts. Robot Carnival, Ani*kuri, Neo Tokyo, Winter Days, Doomed Megalopolis, Eternal Family, Hotori, G-9, Catman, Yobi, 1001 Nights, Sky Blue, Genius Party Beyond, Amazing Nuts!, Cat Soup, Tsukimi no Ie, ... all of that. It's... delicious. Like some kind of drug.
Anyways, with Golden Week over, manga updates have now resumed. Air Gear has officially been announced to end in less than four chapters. Recently, I've also learned that Velvet Kiss has also ended (just read the last chapter yesterday). A bit a of a shame really. I could use more manga like that to cope with the increasing prevalence of the corporate world in my life. (Even though I'm one to secretly dream of flying on a dragon across an Atelier-Iris-type landscape with some J-RPG celtic music in the background.)
On the brighter side of things, Ubel Blatt has resumed updating after a long hiatus so I'm faithfully following that one again. I've also returned to reading Medaka Box and Soul Eater. That makes my current reading list much longer but I'm still looking extend it further. :3
This week's Sankarea and Upotte are... screwed-up big time, to put it plainly. The latter is as far from "K-On with guns" as it could be now, while the former actually managed to develop more than Tasogare Otome have in the same number of episodes. I still like Yuuko more, but at least I'm hyped enough for Rea to download the new episodes right away.
And man, does having an aching tooth suck. I wonder when can my local dentist see me (´・ω・`)
Uhh, nobody's been on in a week? Is it finals or something?
Anyway, is there any love for Panty and Stocking in the clan? I recently marathoned it. I didn't enjoy it at all at first, but for some reason I kept watching. It was strangely addictive. By the time I got to the transformers episode, I was sold (said episode, btw was one of the best comedy episodes I've seen of anything).
Uhh, nobody's been on in a week? Is it finals or something?

Although, if we could discuss mixing M:tG with anime fanfiction (as I've been doing for a longer while), I'd love to share. I've been meaning to talk about making PWs out of anime archetypes.

I tried watching it a few times but I just couldn't keep going. I mean, there's just so much wack I can take from a show. >_<;;;
I'm more of a 4-panel, Lucky Star kinda guy when it comes to comedy/parody.
In other anime news, I've been trying to watch Tower of Druaga. It's been a while since I had my fantasy anime fix outside of stuff like Slayers and Lodoss.
Oh yeah and I've gone back to reading Soul Eater too.

Needs less coastal themes.

Im in summer classes cause i have prerequisites missing before i can be allowed to enter the world of Third Year Physical Therapy....
Actually my midterms are next week...
This i do believe to be the best show this season aside from Lupin.
somehow i can watch this while i cant stomach PBC.... weird...
