Sorry. I am REALLY into Bleach. I have also been a Gundam fan for about 12 years now. I've actually been to see the 1/1 scale Gundam (full size). I like One Piece too. One Piece is probably the biggest anime/manga in Japan. Not a Naruto fan at all though. I also watch a few off the wall anime that most people have never heard of. Into Tenchi Muyo as well. I also have read a few good manga.
Truths, One Piece pulls in so much money... although Precure sells better than One Piece for Toei
Speaking of Precure, watching it with some bros at Uni = awesome experience. Who needs Bronies.
Just saw it. OH MY GOD. Blew my mind out of the friggin' water. Best looking series I've seen in years. I can't get over the artwork. 13/10 stars, would watch again.

I have to agree, its sadly not something i can watch with the kids around, but my god, the fact they kept (and improved!!!) the original art style that defines Lupin is amazing, the characters are the same yet they feel fresh.
It's also refreshing to see an anime tackle nudity in such a mature manner yet at the same time not be scared of throwing comedy and the like, im honestly looking forward to more, i want to see Lupin/Zuniga battles again as well as the rest of the cast.

That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange eons even death may die.
Yeah, new Lupin is amazing. Then again, the director did REDLINE, so no surprises there.
What i find most refreshing is that they didn't fall for the "lets update this to be more marketable" that so many relaunched classics can fall into, they kept the core of what made lupin great (hell they even kept the jazz vibe, how ****ing awesome is that?!)
On topic: Sankarea is out, dunno if ill follow this, as much as i liked the manga it started dragging later on and it kinda lost its interest... lets see if the anime can do better.

Hello, I just wanted to chime in because I saw this...and if you excuse this next part, its going to get weird
OMGLUPINYAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
Thank you. I am happy to see that they kept the same core of Lupin. I remember when I was a wee lad and watched the show. I always liked it because the characters seemed to be so wonderful in personality and they all didnt meld together in my mind...
I also saw that Mr. Stuff had Basilisk as an anime of the week or something to that effect and it brought up a question of mine, which will be spoiled as to not ruin anything about it...
Would you agree that Basilisk's story holds a part of Romeo and Juliet to it? I'm talking about our two lovers who are on the opposite sides and in the end decide to die together rather than fight one another? I want to see if im just imagining things or if others thought this way...

Heh considering the shows i like not much you could say that i would deem as weird.
But yeah the show is pretty much how it was when i was little, the setting seems to be more mature in its exposition which i think is a good thing since the audience that grew up with Lupin has also grown as well, Lupin still does those hilarious rape faces whenever he sees fujiko which is a definite win for me.
P.S. Any way I can be a friend of the guild?
Yep, just post around and you are pretty much a friend, as soon as we can we will add your name to the OP, happy to see you around Macius.

Ah yes, my anime career has spanned many a genre from Hajime no Ippo to DBZ all the way to Berserk... ah, Berserk, nothing like a young me enjoying blood by the swimming pool full on every page.
As long as I can get into a story, I'll read a manga. Art isn't as important, but a good story is a must.
My personal favorite manga series at the moment is Bakuman.... A manga about manga from the writer and artist behind Death Note. I'm actually about to go and sit in my recliner with a nice cup of tea to read volume 10.....
If I had to choose my favorite anime, it would be Samurai 7. It is based off the movie Seven Samurai, which is lauded as one of the greatest movies of all time. It is worth a watch (Its on Netflix if anyone decides to look into it)

there's the american opening I believe.... at least its the one that I remember the most. Avery good watch if I must say so myself.
Yeah im loving Bakuman as well, its one of my favorites, dont have the option of buying the volumes over here so i must make do with scans and the like.
Personally i prefer comedy, Ecchi/Harem comedy best of all, i just love a good laugh, story is a plus but if the comedy is gold i dont mind anything else.
Personally i would say my favorite anime so far has been Tiger & Bunny (which also explains why i love the Ratman Manga so much), I just love the fact it accurately portrays how superheroes would actually end up working in the real world.

Those words... I don't think they mean what you think they mean.
I''ve watched most of the shows so far this spring (except Upotte! - lolwut). Acchi Kocchi is simply 24 minutes of nonstop HNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGG. Gakkatsu was simply odd; not even really worth watching. The best so far remains Lupin, with Polar Bear Cafe in second place. Seriously guys, if you are not watching Shirokuma Cafe, get on top of it; it's amazing. For all you Code Geass fans, Polar Bear and Panda are voiced by Suzaku and Lelouch, respectively. I've got Sankarea, Natsuiro Kiseki, Medaka, and Accel World sitting around, but from what I've heard I don't think any of those will change my opinion. We'll see what happens by the time the rest of the season is out, including Girlfriend X and Hyouka. Aside from Lupin, I'm really just biding my time waiting for Apollon. * drool *
Ah you were talking about stupid, well yeah stupid is gonna happen, but i meant actual superheroes
I have to say that as a guy who works in marketing... yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. I find it harsh to call them sell-outs though. From my experience, you really have to make a living.

Well yeah i would hardly actually consider them sell outs but from the perspective of how superheroes are supposed to be then they would be considered sell outs, me i would consider it a logical progression (for superheroes, personally suddenly getting superpowers my logical progression would be world domination :p)

Well then I guess in my case, my logical progression would be to stop you... that and my company would definitely put me in a costume. I can already see it now...
Me: B-but I have no experience! What about all the dangers!? D8
Boss: We'll pay for your training... and we'll triple your salary for all the hell you'll go through. Just don't break anything. ._.

So sad news out of Japan today with the passing of Takeshi Aono. He was the voice of Kami and Piccolo in Dragon Ball, multiple characters in 2 of the Lupin III series, Bookman in D. Gray Man and the voice of Hawkeye Mihawk in One Piece. And these are only a small amount of his voice roles.
