Sonata Arctica - Ain't Your Fairytale
The ones who seek justice
will pray for it all their lives
They can and they will skin us all one day
oh can you hear them cries
As far as the man can run from us we're following the trail of blood
So hunt my young ones...
I have always known the storm would come
Listen now, my young ones
This is not a story I tell
of midnight, moon and sun
Are you ready to walk the forbidden road
learn again what we tried to forget
The dark can now take over you
We have a common past, an ancient bond
The people once broke
We would only take what we need
They would harvest our weak
But they hunted us all
We ended the last of them, thus far, ten lifetimes ago
In hopes of healing the sore, but the war still went on
Preying for the moon,
Hiding for the day
These might be our last times
I ain't gonna see you taken away...
Heading for the dawn
Of our way of life
You're welcome to give it your best try...
Look me in the eyes, oh, wolver
This ain't your fairytale...
It took us many years to teach them
How to cry wolf
We made the people serve the purpose
Those ignorant fools
My young ones!
Teach the ones below you something you've learned
And learn from the ones above you
Fear is your deepest wisdom
For these last days...
Preying for the moon,
Hiding for the day
These might be our last times
I ain't gonna see you taken away...
Heading for the dawn
Of our way of life
You're welcome to give it your best try...

As far as the man can run from us we're following the trail of blood
So hunt my young ones..
The pack they have always feared is back!
On your last day, remember, we never die
death does not exist for us
They don't fear the wolf, but the wild within
no glory to the way this must end
This is a story I told
Unfolding before you
Preying for the moon,
Hiding for the day
These might be our last times

For our art scouts out there I have a mission for you, should you choose to accept it... I need a picture of an allosaurus (or allosaurus like dinosaur... giganotosaurus or neovenator or a similar looking dinosaur will do) either chasing or eating something...
Tell me if this idea seems silly.... (Castle, it has to do with Vehicles, so your opinion is valued highly because of your experience in the area.)
Mind you my mind is a bit altered at the moment because of mass stress and other symptoms which all together suck.
I was reading an "article" snippet about how a candle's flame works differently in space, and how they explained that because of the Zero G, the flame cannot travel upwards, and thus the air around the flame, and the flame itself become hotter, thus making the flame a blueish tint instead of the orange and red we have here on earth. All of this was finally brought up into one final point, The hotter the flame, the better it burns raw fuel (such as gasoline/Hydrogen, ect)
Then a random idea popped into my head, and here's where i want the critique. If it were possible, to create a Zero G environment, say within the engine of a vehicle, to make our fuel economy nearly triple output. Is it possible, or are these the insane ramblings of a overly stressed, possible homeless man.
Edit: Anubis, didn't find anything that you requested, but i did find this.

I take it this is for a card, therefore should be in a traditional fantasy art style? I'll see what I can dig up.
I like the "self-proclaimed" part of my title. Though it's kind of redundant, as I'm basically always right.
Glad you like it. The idea of the title format is that they, ideally, should sound nice and self-important when said aloud with "...of The [Pack]" at the end.

I certainly don't think that the idea is silly, although I doubt it would be possible to create such an environment inside an internal combustion engine. The thing is, we're so close to electric cars being the norm that the amount of R&D money and engineering effort required to properly investigate a theory like that would make it completely infeasible.
Now, down to serious clan business... As of this post, nominations/applications are open for the position of Clan Representative. Clan Contest season is nearly upon us, and we need to ensure that we have a rep who can be online exactly when required, which clearly rules me out. Also, and probably quite obvious but still worth stating, the Clan Rep will need to be someone who has proven dedication to the clan. This doesn't mean it has to be someone who has been here from the beginning, just someone who genuinely cares about the clan and its good standing in the clan community, and is active enough to be around when required.
*Rises from bed* Cool, first page... I guess? I really gotta try to stay up to get the first post on these My youth group is going to Arizona next week to tutor Navajo children, but we still needed to raise $4,000 to go. At our fundraiser last night (The previous one like it raised $1,500) we made $4,713.26. Most excellent .

I opened one last year, got two crap worldwake packs and 8x scathe zombies, which I promptly hid around my sister's apartment for her roommates to find. But, yeah, it was a piece of crap.
You, sir, have just won the internet. Congratulations.
I'd want to. But right now, I'm stuck without it since I'm pretty much broke. Do you have a team ready?
I have for my team right now:
Deadpool
Dante
Zero
I'll probably be alternating Zero with Wolverine and X23 respectively. Then again I wont' be surprised if the whole team changes after I mess with all the characters. =3
@Castle... For the art, it doesnt really have to be traditional fantasy style... I'm using some traditional dino art as well...
Also, did anyone see my post about bloodscent in my last post on the last thread?
Basically, the problem is that I want some cards with bloodscent to permanently turn on, but not keep doing it, and I want it to turn on as soon as a creature is dealt three damage... here's the basic bloodscent text:
Bloodscent- If a creature an opponent controls was dealt 3 or more damage this turn,
this creature gets some bonus or does something.
So, currently heres the format for one card that has it... in fact, the one I was having trouble with...
So, basically what I want it to do is that when it comes in, it's a 4/4, and then, as soon as a creature an opponent controls is dealt 3 or more damage, it becomes a 6/6, but then Bloodscent never activates again... and then, if another hunting allosaurus comes in, it can turn into a 6/6 too... but Idk if my current, "can only be used once per game" makes this impossible...
Also, I want bloodscent to click on as soon as a creature is dealt 3 or more damage, but only for the first time that turn... I would like it to be so that if i lightning bolt a creature, and then play a bloodscent creature, bloodscent turns on...

Anyone have ANY idea on templating for this?
You could have it say:
Bloodscent - Whenever a creature an opponent controls is dealt 3 or more damage, put a charge counter on ~
~Gets +2/+2 if it has a charge counter on it.

You, sir, have just won the internet. Congratulations.
Maybe... I suppose that works... but it still seems like there is a smoother way to do this... problem with this is that he actually becomes much worse this way...
Basically, the problem is that I want some cards with bloodscent to permanently turn on, but not keep doing it, and I want it to turn on as soon as a creature is dealt three damage...
1) counter
Hunting Allosaurus 3GG
Bloodscent (When a creature an opponent controls is dealt 3 or more damage, put a blood counter on this creature.)
As long as Hunting Allosaurus has a blood counter on it, it gets +2/+2.
4/4
This lets the mechanic scale with the number of blood counters, but doesn't let you use counters for any other creature-based mechanic.
2) flip card
Lazy Allosaurus 3GG
Bloodscent - When a creature an opponent controls is dealt 3 or more damage, flip Lazy Allosaurus.
//
Frenzied Allosaurus
6/6
While the text is actually shorter here it may be harder with a flip that isn't a simple vanilla.
These are the ways I can think of that 1) do the "one-shot enhancement" the mechanic wants, 2) don't cause memory issues, and 3) conform to accepted Magic templating.
While I look your way of putting it Jen... the problem is that Bloodscent is a mechanic like landfall... some get a special bonus only for a turn... while others I would like to have get something permanently... help?
It's easier to just leave bloodscent as an ability word and make it an all-purpose "cares about an opposing creature being dealt 3 damage" mechanic. For example, look at Allies. Some add a +1/+1 counter (Oran-Rief Survivalist), some give all Allies a temporary bonus (Kabira Evangel), and some do a one-shot effect scaling with the number of Allies (Agadeem Occultist). You can do the same with bloodscent, like so:
perma-bonus version:
Hunting Allosaurus 3GG
Bloodscent - Whenever a creature an opponent controls is dealt 3 or more damage, you may put a blood counter on Hunting Allosaurus.
Hunting Allosaurus gets +2/+2 as long as it has a blood counter on it.
4/4
cumulative bonus version:
Entrails Ritualist 1G
Bloodscent - Whenever a creature an opponent controls is dealt 3 or more damage, you may put a blood counter on Entrails Ritualist.
Tap: Add B to your mana pool for each blood counter on Entrails Ritualist.
1/1
one-shot bonus version:
Brutal Nishoba 4GG
Bloodscent - Whenever a creature an opponent controls is dealt 3 or more damage, Brutal Nishoba gains trample until end of turn.
6/4
repeatable bonus version:
Lashing Hellion 4RR
Double strike
Bloodscent - Whenever a creature an opponent controls is dealt 3 or more damage, Lashing Hellion deals 3 damage to target player.
3/3
Is there another kind of effect that you can't figure out how to template?
Note that the natural trump to Bloodscent is a deck with no creatures.
I'll probably be alternating Zero with Wolverine and X23 respectively. Then again I wont' be surprised if the whole team changes after I mess with all the characters. =3
I'm leaning towards Amaterasu, Hsien-Ko, and Dr. Doom.
I must say I lvoe how they did Dr. Doom here. It's a great nod to his victory pose in MvC2 and it's an awesome attack.
I did use the Doc back in MvC2. It's just been a long time since I've touched him in source. Ok I do play MUGEN which does have a source accurate conversion of the guy though.
Josh is a human planeswalker wielding green and white magic. His unique combination of summoning and fortification magic allows him to perform charges aboard beasts far deadlier than they appear.
Hailing from the shard of Alara called Bant, Josh aided the Knights of the Reliquary from a young age in their search for lost treasures of the great plains, formally joining the military at minimum legal age. At the time of the Conflux, he was knighted, given one of the swiftest leotau in the land, and asked to explore the lands beyond Bant.
During his travels through the shards of Alara, Josh discovered the lichlord Sedris and his plot to assimilate the life force of the other shards. He single-handedly slew an angel corrupted by the blue-and-black mage, breaking the grip of darkness over Eos and igniting his planeswalker Spark. The archangel Asha blessed the knight with the Halcou, a large, majestic, falcon-like steed said to possess unmatched speed among Bant's creatures.

---------------------
Eron is a human planeswalker who wields white magic. His specialties include the magic of recuperation and divine justice.
A lowly ranger in the military of Eos, Eron chose to stay within Bant during the time of the Conflux. The nation was ill-prepared for Sedris' invasion, quickly overwhelmed by magic Bant had not seen in over a thousand years. He stood guard outside the king's lockdown chamber, serving as his last line of defense. Overwhelmed as the front lines diminshed, Eron was forced to take a great risk, endangering his own life and that of royalty. He filled the antechamber and stairwell with searing light, ripping the undead army to shreds and knocking himself unconscious in the process.
He later awoke in the Cathedral of Bliss, taken there by the archangel Asha. She blessed Eron with a pair of white wings on his shoulders, turning him into an angel. It was at that moment he became aware of other planes. His Spark ignited, he now wanders the Multiverse, seeking out evil and smiting it at its source.

Ace is a human planeswalker who wields black, red, and green magic. His specialties all revolve around dragonkind--they harness the fire, fury, and ferocity of the flying predators.
Unlike most children in the savage shard of Alara called Jund, Ace followed, and succeeded in, both the Dark Climb and the Shamanic Circle. As a result, his battered, blood-stained sword became the focus for his pyromancy and shamanism--often choosing to channel the spells directly through it. When he was called on his first Life Hunt, he recklessly charged up Mount Worldheart, ahead of most of his comrades. Though he was not as physically strong as the berserkers of his tribe, nor as focused as the shamans that raised him, his versatility in combat saw him to the peak of the active volcano. There, he met, and did battle with, Karrthus.
It was a name feared even among the bravest of warriors. But Ace did not know the meaning of the word "fear". He would conquer this foe or die trying. Karrthus pushing him to the brink of death ignited the unique warrior's Spark and made him aware of the extent to which his shamanism could influence dragons. Even the mighty Karrthus could not resist it. When he returned to the Bloodhall aboard the winged predator, his clan expelled him on account of being "too dangerous". The two never set foot in Jund again, Ace 'walking the Multiverse in search of other dragons to practice his shamanism on.

-7: You get an emblem with "At the beginning of your upkeep, search your library for a Dragon creature card and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library."
3
---------------------
Shalin is an elf planeswalker who wields red, green, and white magic. Her spellcasting primarily consists of summoning magic--rather than risk herself in combat, she calls on the help of great behemoths to fight on her behalf.
Shalin was raised in the Nayan Druidic Circle from a young age when she showed prowess alongside the Gargantuans, titanic beasts revered as forces of nature more than living creatures. As her prowess with the Gargantuans continued to manifest itself, she realized she could form a bond of friendship and trust with them, just like with any other beast of the jungle. She performed in many festivals and displays, impressing humans and elves alike with her talent.
About a week after the Conflux, she took her talent too far in the Circle's eyes. That afternoon, a trio of Valley Keepers saw Shalin on the back of a charging, catlike red Gargantuan, a web of vines keeping her aboard. The wardens immediately reported the incident to the Circle. Its members took a vote, and with a nearly unanimous decision, forced Shalin into exile from Naya. The Anima of Naya, Mayael, formed a planar link with Shalin after failing to convince the Circle that exiling her was a mistake. The link the summoner formed with the Anima ignited the Spark within her, and she now searches the Multiverse for a society of druids who are willing to accept her for what she is.
---
Shalin, Animalist Exile
1RGW: Planeswalker - Shalin
+1: Until end of turn, target creature gains vigilance and haste, and you may have its power become 5.
-1: Search your library for a creature card with power 5 or greater, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
-5: You get an emblem with "Creatures you control can't be blocked by creatures with less power."
3
----------------------
Aravan, Esper Radical
3WU: Planeswalker - Aravan

0: Target noncreature artifact becomes an artifact creature with power and toughness each equal to its converted mana cost.
-6: Draw a card for each artifact you control.
-9: Destroy all other permanents except for artifacts and lands.
4
----------------------
Lila is a human planeswalker who wields black magic. She specializes in magic that poisons the body and mind--ultimately, her victims rot away from the inside out.
From the shard of Alara named Grixis, Lila showed promise in necromancy from a young age. During his invasion of Alara, Sedris stormed all hermitages close to the borders of the land--including hers. A massacre ensued, all of her relatives perishing in the attack. Her only hope for survival was to bargain with Sedris and his troops.
After two months of servitude, Lila attempted to double-cross the lichlord. He lifted her off the ground, then slammed her into a castle wall and temporarily paralyzed her mind. Deciding he didn't want to deal with her anymore, Sedris banished her to a nearby plane chosen at random.
When Lila awoke, she found herself on a corroded, metallic surface--she had been banished to Mirrodin, and became aware that other planes existed. Though the awareness ignited her Spark, she had more pressing matters at hand. The great praetor Sheoldred sensed Lila's previous insubordination, and forced her into phyresis through chaining her to the toxic dragon, Skithiryx.
Lila quickly developed phyresis, and developed symptoms more rapidly than expected. After a week or so, she looked sickly, but was still alive--and Sheoldred couldn't figure out why. She climbed up the dragon's back and broke out of the underground cell, paralyzing all the guards in her way with the dragon's poison breath. Glad to be free again, Skithiryx joined Lila, and the two fight against Phyrexia to give the praetors a taste of their own medicine.

-7: Each opponent discards his or her hand. Distribute -1/-1 counters and/or poison counters among any number of creatures and/or players equal to the number of cards discarded this way.

----------------------
Anna is an elf planeswalker who wields blue and black magic. She specializes in mental magic of all kinds--deception, illusion, and even extraction of thoughts.
Born into Perfect Evelyn's family in a palace just outside Wren's Run, Anna was far and away the most beautiful child of four. She became a Perfect herself at the age of seven, and mastered the elvish art of branchbending at age ten. By the time she became a teenager, even great treefolk bowed to her mastery of elvish magic. Her two horns were curved in a unique fashion, as well--they curved above her head instead of outward.
The day the Aurora came, a vicious storm blew through Wren's Run, lifting her off her feet and into an enormous tree. Her horns snapped in two from the impact, her elvish green magic and perfect beauty with it. Upon her return to the palace, Evelyn shed tears at her blight, then reluctantly ordered her daughter's death. She stole a cervin from the stables and fled the winnowers chasing her down Wren's Run.
A few minutes into the chase, Anna's cervin was shot from underneath her. She tumbled through the woods and past the wall of glamer hiding Glen Elendra from the rest of Lorwyn. Her pursuers, unable to find her, assumed her dead from the impact. The beauty of the glen surpassed even the elvish palaces in her homeland. She saw her reflection in the water, and gasped at just how blighted she was.
Returning from a dream harvest, the Thoughtpicker Clique found Anna, out cold near a waterfall. The three faeries harvested one more dream before levitating her toward the palace of the fae queen, Oona. When she was conscious again, Oona agreed to reveal a secret to Anna on the condition that she would use its knowledge to aid the faeries in their harvest of dreams. She agreed, and Oona revealed that she had an unignited Spark, dormant within her.
Oona spent the next two weeks teaching Anna the magic required for harvesting and extracting the dreams of the weary, as well as glamers and illusions of all kinds. After the queen was satisfied with her progress, she saw her people off, Anna sitting atop her. The two planeswalked away from Lorwyn, and now search the Multiverse for richer dreamstuff and answers regarding the Great Aurora.

Anna, Rider of the Fae
1UUB: Planeswalker - Anna
+1: Search target player's library for a card and exile it. Then that player shuffles his or her library.
-1: Put a 1/1 blue and black Faerie Wizard creature token with flying and "Sacrifice this creature: Counter target spell unless its controller pays 1" onto the battlefield.
-7: You get an emblem with "Whenever you cast a spell during an opponent's turn, choose one -- Counter target spell; or return target permanent to its owner's hand."

oh can you hear them cries

This doesn't mean it has to be someone who has been here from the beginning, just someone who genuinely cares about the clan and its good standing in the clan community, and is active enough to be around when required.
ooooh. Shiny new thread. Does that mean we get to put in one random shiny new thing in the Den?

There was once [The Pack], but no more.
I'd want to. But right now, I'm stuck without it since I'm pretty much broke. Do you have a team ready?
Sasky for the Sig.

Realm of photoshops and Skittles!
Akroma has vigilance so you can't tap that.
I have for my team right now:
Deadpool
Dante
Zero
I'll probably be alternating Zero with Wolverine and X23 respectively. Then again I wont' be surprised if the whole team changes after I mess with all the characters. =3
There was once [The Pack], but no more.

//
Frenzied Allosaurus
6/6
While the text is actually shorter here it may be harder with a flip that isn't a simple vanilla.
These are the ways I can think of that 1) do the "one-shot enhancement" the mechanic wants, 2) don't cause memory issues, and 3) conform to accepted Magic templating.

perma-bonus version:

I'm leaning towards Amaterasu, Hsien-Ko, and Dr. Doom.
Might play around with stuff again.

I must say I lvoe how they did Dr. Doom here. It's a great nod to his victory pose in MvC2 and it's an awesome attack.
There was once [The Pack], but no more.
I did use the Doc back in MvC2. It's just been a long time since I've touched him in source. Ok I do play MUGEN which does have a source accurate conversion of the guy though.
