What shocks/saddens me is that people still keep enlisting. Americans need to take a real stand. People need to stop signing up, and honestly, the soldiers there need to stop following these types of orders.
Unfortunately, neither of those things is going to happen, and the situation is only going to deteriorate.
Good point. Americans need to do a LOT more politically if they're going to continue to be a first world country. Another reason they need to be more political (I mean actually involved, not just complaining about it) is that they don't even know their rights, and they are being taken away bit by bit. Your people fought hard for your freedom and it's being fairly quickly eroded. Every generation has less rights and freedoms than the last. Bush has done a LOT to advance the rights of the government and little or nothing to help the people.
And yeah, if you're slaughtering innocent children because your military complex wants to make hundreds of billions, you're an evil pawn. Don't volunteer to do evil.
I've become a real hippy lately, but I can't help it. I see peace as an absolutely necessary step in our race's development. We must have peace before we can move forward and accomplish things like stopping the destruction we're doing to the planet, ending needless poverty, discovering future technologies that will revolutionize our medical knowledge, and so on.
I honestly need each of you to think about who is in the white house and why he's there.
Bush isn't really the problem. He's a face, but the body of the beast is far larger. There are dozens of people actually running the country, mostly from the shadows. The president is just a face for people to shake their fist at if they're mad, or throw flowers at if they're happy. It's been 30 years since the government wasn't a puppet of global bankers. A vote for pretty much anyone is a vote for more of the same.
No.....don't vote for someone that has been trying to communicate with these people because he is going to make the Uited States a home to Muslim extremists!
If you're saying that peace talks will only cause terrorism, I disagree. I think we should have a strong defense at home, and diplomats abroad. Bring the troops back to US soil, and try and mend relations with the DOZENS of countries we've attacked, assaulted, threatened, installed puppet dictatorships in, bombed, and/or ruined financially. Let people govern THEMSELVES. If we don't like their style of government, too bad! Communism actually won't be the end of America. Neither will any other style of government in a foreign land. If we have a strong defense, solid borders, and good relationships with other countries, they'll take care of themselves. If they attack us, we'll push them back. If they attack us again, we'll crush them into nothing and kill every last soldier and government official, and take their land and resources and civilians and make a 52nd state. But we can't keep policing 100+ foreign countries and controlling several others with spies and bribed politicians. This is really, really stupid.
Dumb assed mother ****ers are the ones that continue to feed this war! And this war is the reason gas prices are high and the economy is down and the dollar is worth ****!
War is great for the global bankers. This is when they make a TON of money. Housing slump? It's great for those rich bankers! They just buy up tons of property for pennies on the dollar. High oil prices? Doesn't bother them either. In fact, they're probably all invested in oil. Bottom line: war and recession aren't accidents, they're tools. Someone is getting VERY rich from this. When they're ready, they'll end the war (for a while) and bring the economy back up, and sell some of the property they bought for three times what they paid.
The problem is, where does that leave the other 99.5% of the population? Grieving dead sons, trying to forgive themselves for slaughtering unarmed mothers begging for their lives, bankrupt, depressed, sick without health care, and/or homeless.
But hey, this is America, land of opportunity. They'll recover... for a while.
No Daron..I wasn't saying that peace talks will spawn global terrorism....I was being sacrastic and spewing the right wing outlook on Obama's visits and meetings with muslim leaders.
