@ Mr. Stuff: Glad to here you trip went well. I haven't gotten to just relax for three days in a really long time. Perhaps a trip into the wilderness is in question.
Anyway, what is everyone playtesting right now? I am currently running a gauntlet of T2 decks.

I am currently playtesting a deck I call "A Crapload of Cards and Binders Shoved in a Box at the Back of my Closet." In other words, I've stopped playing Magic.
Oddly, though, it tested better than my old CHK block Samurai tribal deck.

[16:23] Alacar Leoricar: maybe if you do it'll make the porn more meaningful
Pshh, I could make a Unicorn tribal deck that could take down a CHK block Samurai Deck. Once you test and win against one that utilizes all the legacy legal samurai, then you really have something. [/sarcasm]
Actually, though my situation is probably similar to yours, I found myself playing a lot of Magic against my brother on our trip. It was quite fun seeing my old decks pull off moves I'd forgotten they had, given that I hadn't played them in forever. I got killed by my own Storm Herd deck, twice, which was great.
Heh, no, I mean my electronic outfit... i.e. new avatar and banner and font color etc. 'm not that amazing.
Also, Myta, is the boy healthy? I hope that both he and his mother are feeling well and that they soon will be able to go home to enjoy themselves together.
@ Ether: Have you heard the new Marilyn Manson album, Eat Me, Drink Me, yet? I've listened to it a few times, and while it seems OK and quite enjoyable, I think I expected something more... It's just not as stunning as his previous works, it seems.
The boy is a healthy baby. My cousin, the mom, is a little dizzy, but i think that's how it is after birth. I haven't had any experience on that...
And let's not forget the REAL reason we celebrate Memorial Day, everyone.
Unfortunately, Josh's birthday falls on the holiday, so we can't go out for dinner anywhere too special tonight. I think we'll hit the teahouse tomorrow, but for tonight a special dinner will just have to do.
I'm not sure what to make, though, since the boy is sort of finicky at times. I'm wanting to make my almond-Parmesan chicken, but that's really more along the lines of something I like, rather than what he likes...
Anyway...
I hope you and your brother will work it out. But it looks like he's doing okay. So... uhm... Happy Memorial Birthday Josh...
@Photon:
Sounds like it'd be pretty good then. However, orange cream soda - that's where it's at. Of course, I am fairly addicted to Dr. Pepper, so I don't really have that much room to talk on the subject. As a much wiser man than myself, a one Dr. Travis Doom, once said, "I don't drink it for the taste. I drink it for the power".
Hehe, I'm back from my three day vacation. I've got five hours of work tomorrow, and then I get yet another day off. Life is good. An hour of fighting the current to climb upstream in a shallow, rock-bottomed river with your bare hands does wonders to work off stress. Of course, we did forget to bring sleeping bags, so we had to make do with a single sheet, a single blanket, and a couple of beach towels to cover five people. We were sleeping inside a decomissioned RV, though, so it was all right.
Happy B-day, Ether, and congrats on RotW, Myta.
Thanks. No wonder I haven't seen you around lately. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. *hugs*
Hello everyone just wanted to say goodnight to everyone before i head to bed in about an hour. Ill post tommorrow though after i get back from work. See you all then. *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*

Alright folks.. have a happy happy Memorial Day
Wow! $1000? That's about half of my dad's salary(which is 3k)! Lucky you! Thats alot of money if converted into Philippine Peso, thats like P50,000 here. in my wallet, I just have P100 you know..haha.
As promised, here are the pictures. Change that 7.8 to 7.11lbs. He looks like his father (a little Chinese-looking) and a little like my two uncles (my mom's brothers). He was born today, May 28, 2007, at 1:30 in the afternoon.
Oh yeah I'm going to add a picture of my new kitten.
Congratz on the baby! Yey! new family for you. And also, that kitten looks cute. I always think cats are our guardians from the underworld.

Thanks hunter i still have round 7 to go in the standard tournament if i win that one i could be top 20 out of 94 players which will be pretty cool. By the way in my profile on here for my favorite deck i put mono green aggro. Its a pretty fun deck but it takes alot more skill then it looks when your playing against a metagame where there are alot of different kinds of decks to win against.
I also think i shouldve played with your scryb snow mga deck instead hunter because i think i couldve done better with that deck but oh well.

As for block, G/W Sliver Aggro. I've new reason to believe in its potential after it won a Mini yesterday, defeating Shifter, Jhoira Suspend, and UBr Teferi.

Well i like your scryb snowy build better because it has ohran vipers in the main for some card draw and that tends to be pretty important if you want to win the match in the mid to late game against narcobridge considering they draw a alot of cards and its better to try to keep at least a small effort of drawing some cards too which is alot better then not drawing any cards.
Also the fact that mouth of renoms can be pretty good as well especially against other creature decks. I think every mga build should run 4 spectral forces though since they pretty much can block anything and i shouldve run 2-3 groundbreakers in the board since they have the potential of letting me win at least one or two more rounds.
Well just wanted to drop by and say good morning to everyone. I am probably going to head off to work in about an hour. Talk to you all later though and have a good day and night everyone. *hugs and blows kisses to everyone*
Gah, I'm so lazy today I didn't even put socks on.
Saw Pirates on Saturday night. Really good movie. Two was better, but still a really good ride.
The thing that really stood out for me; The Transformers Trailer.
I have been anticipating this movie for a long time, and following its progress. Some things about it worried me, and some things excited me. Overall, I like the new character designs. As cool as the boxy robot design is, on the big screen in live action they would look really cheesy. There are a few that stand out as truly bothering me. The main one is Starscream. His design looks more like one suited for Apeface. Starscream should be sleak and sexy, this design has kind of an ape like feel to it. An awesome design, but not Starscream. By the time of this trailer however, he has seen a design change of sorts. Movie Starscream Still somewhat animalistic, but much sleaker and sexier. Seeing him in the trailer on the big screen, that was definately Starscream.
My only real Beef anymore is Megatron. They changed his head due to Fan complaints (I am very glad they are listenning to their fans) They had the original voices for Prime and Megatron lined up, then dropped Frank Welker because "He doesn't suit the roll of Megatron." Huh? Frank Welker is the voice and personification on which the character of Megatron is built. The onlt other exception is Gary Chalk, definately acceptable. So if they wanted a more sauve and cunning megatron you'd think they'd use Chalk, yesss...Um...Nooo.
We get Agent Smith. Do not get me wrong, I love this guy. He will likely do an awesome Megatron. But honestly. If Frank Welker and even Gary Chalk do not fit your version of Megatron, then your character is not Megatron.
Anyways, on to the reason I felt I would mention the Trailer. Sometimes a scene or series of events hits me with such awesomeness that it makes me weep. I am an emotional person. Some movies hit me with emotional content, sad or romantic stuff. But some also hit me with sheer awesomeness. Usually it is just a scene or two, something which comes together so well or which reflects what I see in my head so effectively.
About 1/4 of the way into the trailer, I started to cry. The impact on me was amazing. I cannot recall ever reacting this way to just a trailer. By the end, all I could think was "He pulled it off."
I have been a Transformers fan since day one. I still collect the toys, and read the comics. I know this movie will make me happy. All the little things which have scared or dissapointed fans, will come together. People fear change, and fans fear it most because it attacks what they hold dearest. In the past, when movie make changes to existing materials they often make mistakes and kill the source material. But well done and well thought out change is growth, and can actually take the material in a better direction. Transformers has been dumbed down and neutered since after Beast Machines. Fans disliked Machines, so they targetted kids again and made it stupid. This movie actually takes fans seriously again.
I still don't understand why Prime needs flames though, that's Rodimus' thing.
An intresting note, which proves how serious they take their Adult fan base.
"An early cut of the film was given a R rating by the MPAA when screened to them in March 2007, due to the intensity of the action sequences. Spielberg argued instead for a PG-13."
The key word is "Argued" This means less cutting and more negotiating. This means less neutering to bring the intensity down. While "early cut" indicates some cutting was done, cutting is always done after a screening. This is normal procedure. I am impressed with Spielburg for fighting for the movie to get its PG-13 rating rather than editing it to meet the rating instead.
*bows to Sakura* nice to know a fellow transformers fan. I loved the Chalk Megatrol, lol, very suave and intellectual. I also liked the original Frank Welker Megatron.
I gotta say that while I watched it as a kid, I really didn't get into it until Beast Wars. I loved that show and saw every episode.
Maybe it's just the geek in me, but I would love to see that movie sometime.

DAMNIT: I should never have to shred my own character sheet in frustration.
*Wants to see P3*
However, I heard it was amazing or terrible.
That's exactly what I heard for Spiderman3, which turned out to be probably one of the most incredible movies I have ever seen. It was great. Great sound FX, great fights, realistic, and comic realistic(meaning costumes look like original comic book), great EVERYTHING!!
The only bad part was at the end when Parker tried to cry but instead his mouth/chin has a serious twitch/spazz thing going on.
Anyway, building 'tron and Gruul right now, which do you reccomend I use for regionals??
Tron?? or Gruul??/
People like to hate sequels. If it isn't the exact same as the previous...it is bad for being too different. If it is the exact same as the previous...it is bad for being repeatative. I liked one, liked two alot better, and liked three just under two.
Some stuff I felt was out of place, but it did a good job of tieing the trilogy together.
Whoa, a Miss Universe pageant not won by either Puerto Rico or Venezuela?

Hey there coffeehouse, sorry I've been away for a couple of days, been on edge lately, kinda feel like I'm having a quarter life crisis.
@ Biz, welcome to the coffeehouse, hope you enjoy the stay.
@ Myta, hi myta, I see you have a new little nephew and a new little kittie, I hope good health to the little guy and his mother.
@ ether, :birthday:, hope you enjoy your little trip to the teahouse and you got everything you wanted for your birthday.
@ photon and mamelon, I'm sorry for what happened to your brother, I kinda knows how he feels, I once was due to get married only for my wife to be dicided at the altar I was'nt right for her, how nice of her. He will get better he just needs is family there for him for awhile.
@ Miss World/Universe, darn it I bloody missed it again, I f*****g missed it last year, darn it all to hell, preferbly the 5th level of hell, can anyone PM me pictures of the women please, just for shear sadness for me missing such quality TV, as for Miss Egypt last year, who got kidnapped and held for ransom, thats just taking being a fan to far, perhaps I'll kidnap Miss Japan, just out of shear idiocy...
As for me, Ill kidnap Miss Korea, She's an Asian Hottie! (Although my fiance would want to know that..)

I dont know when i played in the tournament i thought having 4 was perfect could be just my preference though but if not sideboard 1 could be nice imo of course having 3 compared to 4 probably could depend on what your facing against. Like having 4 spectral forces could be pretty good against totally random decks and ive always find having 4 would be great against decks like solar flare and narcobridge.
Well i just wanted to stop by and as always im pretty tired. Ill talk to you all later though and i hope everyone had a good day. See you all later. *hugs and blows kisses*

If only if i wouldve used my sideboard during round 2 and during round 6 i wouldve been much better off at winning those matches. Thanks for the good luck though its just much harder to dominate rounds when playing with aggro in a field where you play against alot of creature decks and can't do anything about them unless they block with creatures.
Good news, I just had my medical exam today and YEY I'm a healthy girl! I just need to lose a few pounds as I am a little overweight. I don't look like it though, but I'll watch my weight more now.
Bad news, I just checked my section, and GOD my ex is my blockmate.

I'm Ma. Rita Martha H. Santiago... anyway there. I'm both happy and annoyed. My high school's valedictorian is also my classmate... Camille Rae C. Lim. But I'm glad, some of my other friends are there too, that way it won't be too hard making friends.
@Hunter: Yeah, I've been peeking at the Mono-Green thread and saw that you guys only run 3 SF nowadays. What did you put in for the removed SF?
@Myta: Haaaaaa. I know who it is, just by seeing the name.
In other news, weather here in my area has been particularly pleasant as of late. The big news is that it's not dreaded hot. It's been raining the past couple days, which sees a drop of temperature. Personally, I'd rather have cold rather than heat.

I gotta say that while I watched it as a kid, I really didn't get into it until Beast Wars. I loved that show and saw every episode.
Maybe it's just the geek in me, but I would love to see that movie sometime.
we are discussing it in the Entertainment threads. feel free to join us.
Tron?? or Gruul??/
Some stuff I felt was out of place, but it did a good job of tieing the trilogy together.
Yeah, that slip was awful. Well anyways I just put what my current playlist is playing..
Having 4 SF is clunky thats why you can see in our lists that we only include three.
As for me, Ill kidnap Miss Korea, She's an Asian Hottie! (Although my fiance would want to know that..)
It depends on your meta, but IMHO Ill use Gruul, Im an Aggro Player. ^_^\

Thanks for the good luck though its just much harder to dominate rounds when playing with aggro in a field where you play against alot of creature decks and can't do anything about them unless they block with creatures.
goodnight everyone. hugs and blows kisses*

First of all I love you all and so I say hello.

Also, I thought I should start doing the Hunter thing. That is, putting songs at the end of each post.
