It's coastal Canada - it should never be this hot! Apparently we're breaking a lot of weather records. It's 930pm and FINALLY starting to cool down. You still sweat if you walk around outside, but not as bad as before. It was 7-11 today, so we went and got free slurpees. But damn, that was a hot and horrible day. I hope tomorrow isn't as bad
Especially in this case because the only real purpose of an LVP is illustrating to a person how they can improve. Most of these people are clearly not likely to play mafia again ever, thus completely nullifying that. I'm not sure what points need to be distributed, but it seems like you can just assign them to whomever is 1st/2nd/3rd/whatever place for MVP, and not worry about LVP.
I guess it's personal preference more than anything, I just find the LVP concept in general to be tacky and/or in poor taste. It's easy enough to just offer someone advice without singling them out with an embarassing gesture.
Street lights....people....whoa-ooo-ooo-oooo-oooooooooooo!
Got my arse reamed yesterday through emails.....youch! Don't want that anymore.
Saw Harry Potter yesterday....as a fan of the books it was very hard to watch the changes they had to make for the movie....other than that it was very good. Prizoner of Azkaban is still my favorite of the 5 movies out....the cinematography and the way they made everything different from the frst two....makes that one my fave still, but this one very good. Visually appealing. So many things changed but I guess you have to without intorducing so many new characters then having to continue with their stories. Umbridge was well done. Department of Mysteries well done. Could have used more dialog though.....I guess I should have waited until after the movie to read the book again. Oh well.....book 7 is due out in a couple of weeks. can't wait!

@Jonny: What did you think of the Goblet of Fire movie? I can only know whether or not to trust your judgment on OotP after you have answered this question.
After the third, I'll never see another. I left the theatre feeling as though someone had done a mediocre job on 1 and 2, just enough to trick people into actually seeing 3, to squeeze a little more money out before the whole enterprise went bankrupt and folded with a "hahah, we made some money off you and now you know we're horrible at making movies, oh well, bye!" It was as though they KNEW the movie sucked and didn't even try to make it watchable. I vowed never to see another one.
Disclaimer: I haven't read the books.
Well I woke up covered in sweat, barely able to breathe the super-heated air in my apartment. Bright sunlight pours in every window and the sliding glass door, despite the blinds over them. A glass of water sweats droplets on the outside of the glass and evaporates quickly, going from cold out of the fridge to warm in just a few minutes. I'm starting to fear for my Magic inventory. Heat like this probably isn't good for them. Not to mention I work tomorrow and the next day at 7am, and I haven't been able to sleep more than a few hours a night all week.
Nick...I though the fourth movie was ok for a movie. The justice it did for the books was sad. There were so many things left out of the movie and so many changes to the script....I mean come on.....if for no other reason to have Dobby in the movie....at least let him give Harry the Gillyweed instead of Neville. For those that never read the book....Goblet was entertaining but the focus was on the tournament. For those of us that have read the books....Goblet "the movie" was a let down.....fun to watch but not true to the story.
OotP was true to the story, but as I said they had to sub in what happens to who and why this happens because of so-and-so so as not to have to introduce new characters. As a movie it was quite well done. It was certainly darker.....many will not like how dark this one is....far less funny moments....focus on Harry's internal struggles. His burdens.......
It's funny though.....there were times when I would expect him to say one thing, but what he said was, while on topic, not what I would have said.....I guess it was just a couple of times that happened. It is worth the time and money to see on the big screen.:D

What's up with the a/c?? you haven't answered our pleas for an explanation!!
Blah blah i like the movies so go suck it. The fourth one was ok, they showed a whole lot of triwizard tournament and not much side stuff like I would've wanted, but you can only fit so much in the time alloted before your ass starts to hurt from sitting in the chair too long.

I have not seen any of the Harry Potter movies, nor have I read the books. I started to read one of them, but it didn't really hold my interest. If you want a good read, try anything by Ted Dekker. I especially recommend the book/movie 'Thr3e'.
Anyway, we are having a team pool party tomorrow evening at 7. A hottie that I used to work with found me on plentyoffish.com and we've been talking a little bit. I invited her to the pool party and she accepted. Now she wants to come in around 11 tomorrow morning and hang out until the pool party. I had written in a letter 3 years ago that I just wanted to hug and hold her. We were talking today and said that I would be able to do tomorrow what I said in the letter. She remembered what was written in a letter 3 years after the fact. I thought that was pretty cool. She also said that my jaw will drop when I see her bathing suit. Unfortunately, there's a good chance of rain tomorrow. I will have my camera with me to take pictures of the kids, and if it doesn't rain, I might be able to get a pic or two of her. If I do, I'll post them on here, if she has half as slamming body as I remember her having. I am trying to approach this whole situation cautiously, as it all seems too good to be true.
In other words, wish me luck.:glee:
Oh yeah. Vote:Yukora Vote:CharlieD
I am in favor of both.

You still have my MSN, I think. Hit me up sometime.
Page 13, huh? I expect someone to make a new thread by the time I get back tomorrow night. If I feel froggy, I'll do it in the morning when I get up. There's a first time for everything.
There...now that's over with....who's up for a cocktail?? I know Iam...even though it's 6:00ish here, it's noon somewhere in the world:teach:
Firday.....thanks goodness!
