You know, looking around, I'd love to participate in our little surveys that we have here, but I am quite tired here at the moment. I decided I wanted to just stop in again, as it has indeed been a while... since the grand opening of the coffeehouse in fact. This thread anyway.
So, Photon... I'm hearing of how the soap opera of the house has involved me being whipped by Sakura......... <_< so Omna does have something to say to this, right? and, I believe the information was slightly incorrect... Arguas has to have said about 100 words during that exchange, based on my involvement on the opening few pages before I got discouraged and faded again. -_-
I must emphasize that I feel badly for just poppin in here at my time 3 in the morning. I am very tired as things continue to get busy and the pressure mounts. The current list involves the rant that I am spoilering:
Taking care of finding summer storage for apartment stuff
Getting Danica some kind of special gift asap...
Operating Systems project all in a day with a partner complete with extra assignment on the side
Physics test this Friday that will determine my grade
Conducting some kind of interview
Writing my portion of an 11 page paper
Help Danica finish her song for ASL
Finish as much of my OGS proposal as I can
Take care of registering my summer job
Keeping Danica happy
Quite a task list. -_- Even if I don't check back here, I know I have most of your supports. Even if I'm not here... and even if that itself is a running joke now I am sorry for my absence.
Quick note for Mr. Stuff: I've actually gotten into an anime essentially on my own. O_O Fate Stay Night is really good, imo

We're doing homophobia as our focus topic in drama this term. As you may, or may not know, I'm gay. Now, we did this thing called "Forum Drama" which is pretty complex, so I won't go into detail. It was four people, two being extremely homophobic, one standing aside and letting it happen, and one the gay person who is being insulted. The focus of the drama meant they couldn't hold back.
I played the gay person. Gosh, I know it was acting, but..
Some of the things they said made me cry. Alot. You'd be surprised at some of the insults like that people have heard.
Apart from that, it was okay. Lots of work to do, though.
I'm not entering the tournament. I don't have enough time, whatsoever.

Legion is your last name? Hmmm... not Spanish or Filipino. Cool. But fine I'll call you Jun, even though I prefer Juni which is really cute on you.
Anyway I have good news.
I have a new job! Well, I still have my old job, so now I have two jobs! The old one is the proofreading-books-for-cheap-price business, and the new one is me as an assistant teacher in a nursery school. But not just any nursery school; it's my old nursery school! My teacher and I are so close that she just wanted me in the teaching business!
Think of it as Morrie and Mitch in "Tuesdays with Morrie," only I meet her everyday, we're in an actual class, and no one's going to die.
I can find time to chat, but that's during the weekend and evenings. And good timing, too; she gave me Tuesdays and Thursdays off so I can train for badminton and study Spanish!

All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the light that you see. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to be the peace that you feel. All that I yearn for, for richer or poorer, is to fill your heart on my own.
But the rainbow is an image of hope for many reasons, as it is a brilliant sight coming out of oftimes dismal weather.
Argh, AP Calculus test tomorrow. Not that I'm super worried, but it's just annoying, especially since that day after I have an IB Chemistry test, which will be pretty difficult, and then the day after that I have a normal history test, and then a makeup history test, plus an English project that I have to do by Thursday but I which will probably get an extension on. This week will not be fun.

1. Based on your past experiences, what do you remember most about math classes? Well, I used to be pretty good at math, even though the carrer path I chose has nothing to do with it. It was fun.
2. What was your most favorite and least favorite elementary math experience? Explain why each. I liked the story problems, because they added a small element of reading rather than plain dealing with numbers. I can't recall anything I truly hate on elementary math though.
3. If you were to teach elementary math today, what two things would you like to do? Hmmm, I don't quite get this one, but anyway... I guess I'd want to be a patient and friendly teacher, and get along well with my students. Of course, that wouldn't mean I'd take it easy on them.
4. What multiplication table was hardest for you to memorize? Seven, no doubt.
5. Are there any math tools you learned that you use today? Quite a few, definitely. From simple stuff like adding and subtracting to more complicated matters like statistics.
6. Who was your favorite math teacher and why? Probably my 8th grade teacher, Aderbal Carvalho. Mainly because he was everything I described on question 3.
7. What was your most favorite and least favorite topic/activity in math? Explain. Favorite: logic. I've always been a sucker for interesting puzzles. Least favorite: logarithms. Because they were hard as hell.

@Myta - Your name is Maria Rita Santiago? Heh, that's what I'd expect to hear as a name for a Brazilian girl.
Shaharazad: It's your move, Ala-boy. But it won't really matter, as my Millennium Urza's Sunglasses allow me to see every one of your moves as clearly as I can see my own hand, mwahahaha! Alacar: Damn, this is really tough... I hope I can draw my Morphling and Seal of Denial or else I will lose a lot of life points to his creature cards! Shaharazad: You know what, if you just keep broadcasting each one of your strategies like a durned fool, these glasses will pretty much just be for show.
Whoot! I made it into the soaps! And I get to spoof yugioh!

Arguas: Come on, you know you love me. Omna: I wish I could remember, but I have such strong amnesia!! Arguas: Oh, is that all? Here, take this random bottle I found in a box in the hall on the way up here. Omna: *drinks it* Oh dear, it is as if all negative effects that were on me were removed! Arguas: Thank God the writer is both an RPG geek AND lazy!
This was classic. Well done.
Kevinliu: You have to come with me or you will die! Shinobi: NOOOOO! Kevinliu: Okay, I am sorry, you don't have to come with me.... *turns arounds, and then turns back around wearing a blonde wig* How about for Cecilia? Shinobi: What the hell!? *runs* Kevinliu: ... Now I'm sad.
This literally made me laugh aloud.
@Mr Stuff - I understand in ways. I went through some of the same feelings before deciding to go back to college. I was so frightened by different aspects of it; fear of failure; fear of making a mistake; fear of change, etc., that it was almost paralizing. But the trick is, that this is the type of fear that quickly vanishes as soon as you take the first real step. That is the hard part. But once you start, the feeling quickly can become momentum. Don't let fear hold you back from what you want to do, it's only as powerful as you let it be.
And now to make this more appealing to your sensibilities...
*Shaharazad appears out of nowhere with an anime style frustration mark on his forhead and bonks Mr Stuff upside the head with an electric guitar*
"HEY! What exactly are you waiting for Mister?!? Go Go Go!"
*Shaharazad is suddenly dragged away by a horde of stampeding catgirls*
"See! Just like this! Watch out thats my... OUCH! Hey, cut that out!"
Edit: Just one more thing Mr Stuff. While I think motivation to get a job (or get into school, do you have a degree?) is very good and should be reached for, I feel I should advise against rushing to move out until you have some savings. If you're doing it just to be doing it, or just because you feel obligated, it can end up being a pain in the ass in the long run, especially if you rush into it.

Heh, I know. It's just that I always found it weird that the Philippines are an Asian nation with such a strong Spanish heritage. Especially since most of the currently overexposed Asian stuff comes from either a Japanese/Chinese/Korean or Arab background.

@Hunter - Oooh, that's a beautiful song. Too bad I haven't heard of Tracy in a long time now. Is she still active?
that would be a handy language to know, irl. There are several people in my wargames league who are Spanish speakers, but the rankings mod and the clan leader are Brazilian...there is enough similarity between the two that I get plenty of mileage out of Spanish alone so I guess I shouldn't complain.
