Also, I start school and my first paying job that's not for my father very soon, both on thursday. I'm about ready to go back. Break was fun, but there's only so much that can be done during it, and it's been like a month.
There's not really much else of note to report in my life, actually. It's New Year's Eve, I'm staying at home.

Regarding new years: I will be doing... nothing! I've resolved to, uh, make a list of the things I want to do. :S
My new year's has been pretty uneventful. Spent NY Eve with a few guys from the newspaper, playing guitar hero and drinking vodka, haha. I can't do any of the songs on Hard yet, poo. NY Day was spent with my boyfriend's family. They're awesome, and I can see where he gets a lot of his personality and interests from.
but for now i'm exhausted from all the partying. On Thursday, Ryan's coming up here for a party, and hopefully it won't bother him that he'll be the oldest one there.
I'm kind of ready for school to start again. Two weeks for break in high school wasn't long enough, but a whole month is too long. Hrm.

My New Year was fairly mundane. I spent it playing Guild Wars, completing a dungeon by my lonesome. Doing it with a party would be too easy. My mom made some ribs and summer foods and if you closed your eyes you could almost feel the sun and the warm breeze.
I just did New Years with my family, which was nice, as it was the last day my older sister was visiting from Montreal (she flew back at like 5.30 AM).
And today I'm back in school! So you'll probably see me around a little more often again.

*lol* I solved that problem with an hidden folder. Most parents aren't smart enough to find it so its a good way to hide porn.
Hahaha My parents would never have found the folder, but my brother is two years older than I am so he knew as much if not more about computers than I did.

Don't wait too long. Unless your family is extremely religious I think he'll be tolerant at the very least. Thats how my dad is about my uncle. He really hates that my uncle is gay but knows that there's nothing he can do about it and that condemning him for it would only drive them apart(he does do this sometimes but only after he's high on something).

Had my first Philosophy of Art class yesterday. I really enjoyed it. THe teacher seems to have a great sense of humour (it's very dry, but that's awesome), and it seems like she's picked some interesting questions/topics/what-have-you to cover.
And the textbook was only $49, after tax, which is good.

Glad they took it well. I can give you some advice by telling you how my uncle came out. Basically, what he did was he decided that on his 40th birthday, he was going to come out to everyone except his father. Then, after that was finished, he had this super gay party thing with all his gay friends. He met someone there, they went back to his place, and did the nasty no no. Then, my cousin's bat mitzva came around, and the whole family was going to be together, and my uncle brought his boyfriend to some of the gatherings. He was scared as hell, but he went up to his father and step mother, and just said it. He took it very well, and he even told my uncle's boyfried "Welcome to the family."
So it seems like the best way to do it is like a bandage. One motion. RIGHT OFF! Seinfeld quotes ftw.
Also, if any of your friends takes it badly and can't deal with it, well, it's time to find some replacement friends. So if I were you, I would just go for it. Good luck!

QFT. In other words, don't make it like a huge big deal. Don't preface forebodingly with "I need to tell you something" or make it seem like you're about to deliver some monumental news. Just be matter of fact and casual about it, especially with the friends you are really close to. For more casual acquaintances, being seen at a social gathering getting cozy with your new boytoy is a nice (and fun) way to get the word out. But yeah, the point is basically that it's nice to let your closest friends know personally (and hey, if they know you that well then they've probably already figured it out) and for the rest you don't really need to come out you just need to start being yourself.

I spent mine in New York City, with three friends (we stayed at the apartment of the one friend's cousin).
There was also a really funny story that's far too dirty to tell in here. But let's just say it involves my friend inviting an irritable muscle-bound porn star to come over at 4am and a huge *ahem*

That's really good advice, and was something that I had in mind when I told my brother earlier today. He took it quite well, although he was a bit shocked, I think. But I'm pretty sure it's going to be fine.
My coming out was so anti-climactic. I was sorting pics with my mom and just said "So you know I'm bisexual, right?" and she said "Thats a relief. I was starting to think you were asexual.". My mom says horrid stuff like that to me all the time. Last week she said someone needs to turn me out good. She's a cool lady for the most part.
