well, the first six notes of the song of healing are saria's song inverted,
that being said, I listen to the song of healing for different reasons.
Its partly because MM is my favourite of the series (Part of my life is essentially a mask, to a greater extent than many others), partly a desperate hope kind of thing, that maybe the mask will come off
I always knew I was playing too much pokemon when I could still hear that blasted theme song in my head 4 hours after I shut off the game. (Same thing happened with the original Zelda game too. Especially eerie dungeon games and that "You got a rupee!" sound -_-"
I always knew I played too much DDR when I closed my eyes and still saw arrows moving up the screen...:confused2:
ah well.
I was dozing off today in my geology class, but I timed it perfectly that I would wake up everytime the professor went to the next slide in his power point. Jo wins.
whee, one more class today and then I'm done until next monday! ...gives me time to catch up on some homework..heheh...
I never really played any of the Zelda games...my brother had one for game boy, but all I remember is that the cartdrige was made of clear plastic. [[shrug]]
Now I have the urge to go find my Pokemon Blue cartridge, and play. Damn you, blue! :xd:

I have almost no clue what any of you guys are talking about.
I had a performance review at work today. I was told that I do an exceptional job except for one problem. They said that it appears I have a problem asking for help when I get swamped and that I need to rely on others more. I told my manager that there's a slim chance of that happening. He laughed. I was serious. O.O

Well you should try Unless, of course, your coworkers are useless.
But in any case, if that's the only negative feedback they could give you then you got one hell of a good review. Congrats!

Nope, they're all actually very competant. I'm just too proud/stubborn/self-involved to ever ask for help. Or even admit that I need it, even if I know I do. I've always had problems asking for help. I doubt that'll change anytime soon.

Pretty much. Thanks.
I got to serve the regional F&B manager (basically my boss' boss) today and he thought I was great. Which I am. So work today was pretty awesome.

I didn't like Link's Awakening much(didn't like the music), allthough it did set the grounds for many other games, being the first game that you can have two different items equipped at once. It allowed combinations such as bomb arrows and the pegasus boots / roc's feather...(I'm such a zelda fangirl)
In the Zelda series I loved the first and the Link to the Past, Links Awakening, those two games that went across each other to complete it (one about time and one about seasons). I never got into the N64 games other than watching other people play them. It seemed fun but my hands never got used to the controls so I stayed as an observer.
I've actually played every single one, but only haven't beaten ZELDA II, which is completely different play-wise and rather difficult(at least for me), Four Sword Adventure for the Gamecube, and Four swords (the extra thing/ completely whole game added onto the GBA remake of A Link to the Past)
Majora's mask was and is still my favourite of them all, even though the dungeons were terribly short and relatively simple compared to what I remember from back in Ocarina of Time, back in like 5th grade when i finally beat it...
then again, that was like, 6 years ago...

(I hope I didn't come off as Angst-ey or anything in my earlier posts, I'm really not)
haha, my gf is a total zelda fangirl. I'm ordering her a "Made in Hyrule" t-shirt. It's a surprise, so I'm pretty excited to get it for her.
Anyways, good to see the new thread up and running. it's been long overdue, although I think "gaymers: Gaze of justice" or "in Gaymers, some of our members are like this thread title... you get it in the end."

My gf is a total LoZ fangirl, but fangirl doesn't really explain it; it's more like an obsession. But you can learn to be okay with that. Except this one time we were talking and she called me Link. I took it as a compliment but started to laugh hysterically afterwards. I have Magic and she has Legend of Zelda, its healthy in a strange parallel universe sort of way.
This is kinda odd, this thread, in that about the only place I posted a lot before was the rumor mill, and even then not so much. I mainly just followed threads, and I have to say, its different when every time you refresh there isn't new posts. its... relaxing, a much slower pace.
This seems to be my 100th post, which I would normally be happy about, but considering most of you folk have 20x-50x that, its more of "...oh.... thats nice, but not really that big of a deal" sort of thing...
how do you get added to the list on the front page(the members one) thing? Is there like a post quota or something? or merely a request? or is it just when someone sees fit? (I don't mean to sound pushy or anything, but would dearly like to become a member-type person)
Ask? If I remember correctly, Micah just added me. Went something like:
Micah - "I put you in the Gaymers member list."
Moi - "Where?"
Micah - "You're there, near the top, deal with it."
Moi - o.o "Kay..."
Micah - "What'd you say?!?! You're in the list and you'll LIKE IT!"
Me - "I said KAY!"
These were was a half hour of crying afterwards, though I don't think it was either him or me. But there was crying. I'm pretty sure I heard it, in text form.

Also, I'm real drunk right now. Might not want to listen to me. Though I did tell my coworkers I was bi tonight (in the words of an equally drunk coworker: "In a 'pit stop to gay town' way or a 'likes guys and girls more or less equally' way? "The second one, Rob." "Oh, ****ing good for you, man."). I'm going to bed now.
So, I got the Megaman Collection series for GCn awhile ago. It has all the classic series of Megaman games. I beat 1-6, and I'm pretty sure 7 and 8 are aweful. The Megman went from being a short fat kid to a teeange girl who whines an aweful lot and is way too tall and slow
So after I beat 6 tonight, I started up RE4. I couldn't get into REmake for GCN and haven't tried RE0, but RE4 is good enough that I want to try and play RE again. Shooting people in the head with a laser sight is barrels of fun.
I had a good day. i accomplished nothing.
For example, the overdue english homework I have to do by monday if I want my mark bump.
I figure I'll do it this evening.
But I probably won't.
Oh, right, I'm actually a member. So then maybe I should start posting a bit here. Except I don't really know what to say. *shrug*
So what's up?
Nothing really, just got back from dinner with the family which needless to say stunk. I cut my finger real bad and got metallic splinters when I popped a string on my guitar. And I'm currently watching Ivisible Children for like the 7th time in the past two weeks.
I just got back from seeing Pan's Labyrinth (El Laberinto del Fauno). It was a good movie, I'd say - but I have to watch it again to pick up onsome of the more intricate details.
The movie is in Spanish with subtitles, and takes places in 1944 after the Spanish Civil War. The plot follows a captain in the fascist army and his family. His step-daughter is very interested in children's stories and fairy tales, which plays a significant role in the movie, even if it doesn't get as much screen time as I'd like. Since it's relatively new for the US (and Canada, I assume), I won't go into much more detail.
My favorite mistranslation of the movie, and the only one I really noticed anyway, is when the girl says that her pregnant mother is "Sick with baby."
Um, I was trying to take a picture of myself for my boyfriend to see, but my camera's batteries died.
And no, it wasn't a dirty picture, either. get your minds out of the gutter!
I feel cute today. This is strange, because I usually have little self-confidence.
I'm watching this special on Comedy Central...this woman is uncensored, and OH MY GOD is she racist, haha. She's worse than a sailor with her language, too! it's crazy, but funny!
and stuff. Yeah.

Gus Gus: That is totally NOT how it happened. You forgot about the part where I held that gun to your head and threatened to take away your music if you didn't sign up, IN BLOOD, ASAP.
Unfortunately I'm not the lead post in this thread so Kraj will have to add you and he's much more strict in his initiations. His version of the handshake involves more acrobatics than mine if I remember correctly. And I scarcely used any jello.
Herro Athani.
Trenton: Duh. You got that new name around page ONE of the old thread. I gave it to you and you'll love it. Don't worry, it tested well with kids age 10-15 and elderly women ages 65-93.
My favorite mistranslation of the movie, and the only one I really noticed anyway, is when the girl says that her pregnant mother is "Sick with baby."
Do you mean that you heard the Spanish and realized that that's not what it meant, or did you assume that it was mistranslated based on the English phrase? I didn't pay enough attention to the actual words being said, because when there are subtitles I find it too difficult to attempt to follow both the speech and the subtitles, and as I want to enjoy the movie itself rather than focus on improving my Spanish comprehension, you can tell which one wins out.
I thought that was what was meant, since her mother was having difficulties with her pregnancy, so she was "sick" because of the baby.
I'm watching this special on Comedy Central...this woman is uncensored, and OH MY GOD is she racist, haha. She's worse than a sailor with her language, too! it's crazy, but funny!
Lisa Lampanelli, right? She has her moments, but I think much of her act is "offensive" but not funny. Or plain old offensive, although I don't get that offended by such self-conscious attempts at offending - I'm more bothered when I think that the person actually thinks that way. She wasn't too bad tho, but there are far better acts out there. Including her first Comedy Central special.
But she's not as bad as Carlos Mencia, who is also offensive/"offensive", but attempts to pass off his promotion of stereotypes as just "speaking the truth".
Also, hi, I'm erimir and... I like boys

In regards to Zelda, i love the series, even when he was turned into a chibi on the GC. I play for the story not the look
