Ugin's Conjurant
Oracle Text
Ugin's Conjurant enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it.
If damage would be dealt to Ugin's Conjurant while it has a +1/+1 counter on it, prevent that damage and remove that many +1/+1 counters from Ugin's Conjurant.
You weren't likely to use it outside of limited, and it's rare, but it was still kinda strong for blue. Or at the time, red. So, they're playing more conservatively. That, and this is uncommon instead of rare.
The phantom mechanic was broken because it didn't have this caveat--here is what it read: "If damage would be dealt to Phantom XXXXXX, prevent that damage. Remove a +1/+1 counter from Phantom XXXXXX."
With Coat of Arms, phantoms became a seriously OP deck.
...God, that card's templating is weird.
