This card will be absolutely monstrous in a bant proliferate deck that can use this ability with flux channeler and counterspells to neutralize threats until they can ult teferi. Every counterspell you play with these two cards on the board gives you another turn where you shutdown a key permanent on their board.

Yeah, as if UWx control needed any more BS elements. It already rules the roost. Try playing Arena once this set comes out. Dovin, the new Teferi, Veto, etc. Good luck enjoying the game if you're anything but UWx "stare at your opponent" control.

I get that, but a lot of decks focus on large threats rather than flooding the board. Even if they do flood the board, this effect costs no mana and you can run Settle the Wreckage to remove large groups of attackers.
