Unless something shuts off static abilities why does the activated ability give a creature haste as well?

Because she could have 1 loyalty, use the ability, then be in your graveyard, or maybe you want to grant a teammate's creature haste.

"Creatures you control have haste."

"Target creature...gains haste until end of turn."

This is too expensive for the effect, even if haste is best keyword.

I imagine that we'll have some fun sequences with this thing followed by Arlinn or Vraska in limited. Pumping out and pumping up a hasty token is pretty back-breaking.
