Seems so obvious now; allow mill—an existing strategy with a devoted playerbase—to be more interactive, making it the natural enemy of dredge instead of forcing the issue artificially with otherwise-useless pinpoint superhosers! And even better, the hosers themselves gain defensive use... truly a win-win all around.

Also, the only other Modern-legal (conceivably) universal hard counters I could find requiring only two mana and a single blue:
- Corrupted Resolve
- Second Guess
- Spellstutter Sprite
- Unified Will

And it kills creatures. And is uncommon. This is amazing.

Very nice control card for Dimir. Gonna enjoy seeing this.

I'm pretty sure that this is the only conditional counterspell that gets BETTER as the game goes on (as opposed to a counter target spell unless its controller pays 2), as well as the only card that pulls double duty as a counterspell and removal spell, thus having full value against both control and aggro, that we have seen in a long time. In dimir colors, we will be seeing this A LOT in esper/grixis control decks.

Incredibly potent, with a very light conditional clause, and low CMC. Very impressive. This should make some waves.
