Well this is a strange thing to have in a booster pack. Maybe drafts and sealed are going to have commander shenanigans?

Pretty sure this is just in the brawl decks and the premium boosters.

Stop wasting precious slots in Standard sets for Commander-only cards, please. Commander has its own set, and everything else ever printed, and just got a new set recently. We don't need this eating up actual space in non-Commander formats, thanks.

Fair point, and I'll admit when I'm wrong. However, the rudeness will not be tolerated.

This isn't taking up a slot in the set's card count, please think before you type, this is from the brawl decks, will not be in regular packs, and has a collector's number well over however many will be in the regular set. They will never print a card into a standard set that explicitly refers to a commander.

And you know something funny? I prefer games where you have one character card who is your leader and that kind of thing. The various Dragon Ball card games have done it, and I always liked that. If Commander had a variant, or regular Magic formats had a Commander (so, 60-card decks, 4 copies, normal deckbuilding rules), it's all I would play.

I would love it if the base game got changed to just include a Commander. I really would. It's the single copy per deck thing and 100 card decks that get to me. I wouldn't even mind 100-card decks if you could run 4 copies of a card per deck.

I also wish they'd try some variant rule where like all your lands are separated into a separate deck (your "mana deck?"). Say you get a choice between 4 and 3 or 5 and 2 or whatever, and then each turn, you can draw from one or the other. And of course land-hunting spells would still work as normal, you'd just search the mana deck instead.

Iunno. Just musings. But yes. Really wish there was a format that allowed all normal deckbuilding rules, basically standard Magic formats, but with Commanders added.
