To be honest Doubling Season was a mistake, and became even more a mistake as soon as planeswalkers existed. If it only applied to +1/+1 counters and no other kind of counter it would still be strong, and would have been what Simic needed on its original release.

Needlessly complicated, but also something you can easily do in the Arena client, unlike doubling season, which I somewhat doubt will be making the short list of new-to-historic cards they import <3

That sounds pretty needlessly complicated compared to just Doubling Season. Four wolves that make 2 loyalty counters a piece means 8 overall. If you're Sultai anyway Copy Enchantment means 8 wolves that make 4 counters each so 32 overall.
