@ Ryadriz - Agreed, he would basically be a fusion of Arcbound Ravager and Steel Overseer in the right deck that would hit the board for just B. Consider how many times spot removal has blanked on artifacts in Modern Affinity, just because Ravager was on the board. Without the 2, let alone the T, the ability could fizzle so much removal all while pumping your board. At the least when bottoming out, he's a 2B Anthem. At the most, he makes your creatures and creature cards in hand X2 Anthems.

If he didn't have the pay he'd terribly overpowered.

Maybe, sacing a creature for an honor of the pure that only applies to your current creatures is weak. Using him in reponce to removal is what is strong, and for alpha strikes or staying ahead.

With no cost this guy would certainly be great, but with the cost, it may be to clunky for a deck that plays on a curve(The deck you want him in). Interesting card though, I can see it maybe still seeing play. I wouldnt say this guy is a Dud as is. This one will really depend on the set.

This guy would be great w/o the cost though, and if he doesnt see play because of the 2, I'm going to be bummed. THis would of been a fun card.

There is one small detail that makes the comparisons to other cards not quite work... this only pumps vampires. So unless vampire tribal becomes the real deal (which it looks like it might but can't really say for now.) at no mana cost this wouldn't be as good as the cards it's being compared to.

Yeah, at 0 mana it would be nothing like Ravager or overseer, unless they start printing 0 mana vampires and Vampiric Drums/Citidels/MoxOpals, hahah

Vampire tribal just seems so weird to me, because they all seem to want ALL OF THE BLOOD, and joining together doesn't help that. 2centz

Last time Innistrad was in standard i made a vampire tribal deck that did quite well at my local tournys. Beating delver decks about %40 of the time. I like this card. Hopefully he will have more back up
