Card Rulings
1/19/2018 Zacama’s triggered ability triggers if you cast it from any zone. It doesn’t trigger if you put Zacama onto the battlefield without casting it.
1/19/2018 Zacama’s damage-dealing ability can be activated during combat, perhaps targeting a creature blocking it. If all creatures blocking Zacama are destroyed, its combat damage is assigned to the player or planeswalker it’s attacking because of trample. If the blocking creatures are dealt nonlethal damage, that damage is considered when assigning trample damage.
I like that he doesn't have to be cast from hand to still get the land untap trigger, just cast and then ETB
Except the black one, because it needs to be in your hand to work...
also combos with Temur Sabertooth if you have enough lands, which shouldn't be hard in a green EDH deck.
Sidenote, this is absolutely wonderful reanimation target for Scarab God. Pretty much a planeswalker.
No haste, no double strike, no hexproof. Nothing that would make it halfway decent. The abilities cost, although you don't have to tap to use them - a slight plus. That life gain ability is a joke - such a bad joke that it's damn near insulting.
Also you clearly don't play EDH much if you think Mayael or Uril see more play then Marath. (Who is super good by the by.)
