1/19/2018 To determine the number of differently named lands you control, count each land you control once, but only if its English name isn’t exactly the same as another land you’ve already counted this way. For example, if you control four lands named Plains, two named Island, and one named Drowned Catacomb, Awakened Amalgam is a 3/3 creature.

Posted Jan 1, 2018Between the large number of dual lands and fetch lands people use, this could easily grow gigantic over time. While it is much slower than death's shadow or goyf, the fact that you can splash this into any deck, that it requires minimal "set-up", and that you will never have "the wrong mana" for it could really increase consistency in 3-4 color decks or add a beater to control decks that play for the long game.
