Probably the worst case is for budget decks. (Though again, burn is the original budget deck.)

not quite, this just gives mono-red 12 copies of 3 damage to that. It seems like a cheap and easy deck that's going to roll a lot of jank/rogue decks.

You might be right, sacing a land could be seen as worse than sorcery to the face. It's definitely replacing one of the 2 (i think).

I was thinking Shard Volley if it were still run, but Lava Spike is a sorcery so they may be closer.

Side note: I haven't played anything but EDH in like 2 years, so I'm probably outdated on what is still used
