Gates.deck is becoming increasingly less of a joke. Still a joke, but the kind that has a halfway decent win chance.

This land totally reminds me of Reflecting Pool. That land singelhandedly spawned my favorite 60 card pile in all of MTG: Cruel Control. I definitely wold NOT sleep on this card, especially since it comes with lifegain to help offset the tempo loss of ETB Tapped Gates. I think this is a sleeper card that will help smooth out a solid Control deck once Ixalan rotates with its Check lands.

This and Gateway Plaza could be really nice fixing if our mana fixing wasn't already really good in Standard. I don't think it's quite good enough to slow yourself down that much when you can just play shocklands and checks. This 3 life seems kind of neat.
