5W for a 3/4 flyer seems a touch steep, but with enough gates this will often buy you a turn in Limited in addition to the evasive body, and that makes this well worth it.

If you gained 1 life for each land you controlled, it'd be okay. A hair too strong in draft, mayhaps. You'll never have more than half your lands be gates, even in constructed - especially in constructed.

Unless you, like me, build some fun gates-matter jank deck between this and Guilds.

O hai limited filler. But at least you have flying, so you'll see some play in limited.

Don't bet on it. Last time I did a draft, one guy actually had 16 Gates. And the dumbest thing is that he actually went 4-0 with it. People were not happy.

I have to imagine that the rest of that guy's deck had something else going on, and that Archway Angel was just the most insulting and memorable part of the strategy.
