Am I greedy for wishing this was a 6/6? I know she doubles your mana, but that drawback...

It's not a drawback if you aren't a weenie who casts non-creature spells.

If this sees any play (in Standard), Nullhide Ferox will be in the same deck. Rhythm of the Savages as the only noncreature spell, so as not to die to counterspells; and Gruul Spellbreaker to protect from Settle the Wreckage.

Temur opens options to Simic creatures with spell like abilities, like Frilled Mystic and Hydroid Krasis. And the Jellyfish Hydra Beast also benifits from Nikya's double mana effect.

Or go Jund, run Chucacabras as removal too.

She’s almost sorta close to a fast red/green Azusa card. I can’t wait to build her.

In commander you can play protection enchantments and equipments but just not while she’s out. She can be a great fast commander.

Mediocre creature at best. Do we have to have lame boring “flavor” text in every card we see nowadays? It’s bad enough we get filler cards in each pack, we have to have filler text on these cards now as well? Why does every set now have a reference to some sort of deity? Especially on a Gruul creature! The gruul have no order! Much less a deity.

jesus mother of geppetto what on earth is wrong with that art? is it supposed to be a zombie centuar woman? why does she look so unhappy? i thought gruul were meant to be savage dudes who hunted and ate meat like conan the borborygmaus?? domri and nikya both look so sad and emaciated :/
