The original point of the comment was to somehow meme how this is almost the same ability as exalted, as well as some cards in this block have "Ferocious" but not using the keyword

Not quite, because the simic rare split card can counter triggered abilities, giving each creature exalted would split it among multiple triggers. Here is is a single one

If Mentor doesn't do the job, use Exalted.

so much mechanics in Standard right now, coupled with borrowed mechanics plugged into cards like this one :/

Is that a bad thing? I don't think this will confuse anyone ever.
