Creature spells you control can’t be countered.
Nontoken creatures you control have riot. (They enter the battlefield with your choice of a +1/+1 counter or haste.)
Some view Domri’s unlikely ascent as a sign of the Ilharg the Raze-Boar's imminent return.

Seems pretty cool. Kraul harpooner especially can get pretty nasty with Riot.
Because creature spells you cast aren't necessarily the ones you control (see Aethersnatch). It would feel really bad for your opponent to be able to take advantage of a one-sided benefit as good as uncounterable creature spells, when they don't own the card that provided that benefit.
1) Creatures with Persist (Kitchen Finks, Glen Elendra Archmage, Murderous Redcap, etc) will never stay dead again. Throw in a profitable sacrifice outlet and you have a combo.
2) Giving haste to creatures with awesome tap abilities (like, say Prime Speaker Vannifar) makes them way more viable for their respective combo strategies.
3) Then we have +1/+1 counter matters effects that are getting free +1/+1 counters (Joraga Warcaller, Ainok Bond-Kin, Any Graft or Adapt creature, etc)
Not to mention how this works with cards like Hardened Scales
