EXCUSE ME? EXCUSE ME?! I don't know if this is as good as I want it to be BUT I REALLY WANT IT TO BE GOOD. Please excuse me while I look at EDHrec for a bit.

It can be in Rakdos. I could see it in EDH with Searing Touch or Pyromatics or Grapeshot. It even turns Pyroclasm into a straight-up Day of Judgment.

In Standard, it's not nearly as busted, but it's still powerful.

Potentially the most game-impacting card spoiled thus far. Really ugly with Chainwhirler.

Yeah, Chainwhirler does nothing here. I was trying to think of damage effects that hit everything, and by the time I got to Chainwhirler I forgot this card only affects sorceries and instants.

It doesn't make Chainwhirler have Deathtouch itself but it makes the core strategy that is usually present in Chainwhirler decks that much scarier. Shock now becomes a legitimate removal spell. I don't even know where to begin with the new cards that have been spoiled. Rakdos Aggro is at the top of my list to test on Arena for sure.

This turns Scorching Spear into a kill spell.

I must be missing something. Chainwhirler isn't an instant or sorcery right?

Time to bust out Electrickery!

Also makes Bonfire of the Damned have even more value: you can pump a bunch of mana into a miracle casting, or you can just do 3 to ping your opponent for one and wipe his board!

Blazing Volley almost becomes In Garruk's Wake

That artwork just hits all the right buttons for me. I love it.

Should give instants and sorceries menace and deathtouch. Such a missed opportunity for elegance!
