This is exactly what Rakdos Aggro needs. It makes all of those mediocre 1 and 2 drops actually relevant threats that can trade up pretty significantly while also providing some reach when the board is clear. Deafening Clarion will start to become a liability for Control decks now. T1 Fanatical Firebrand -> T2 Viashino Pyromancer -> T3 Judith is a very significant curve. Add in Frenzy, the normal Burn spells, and that's a pretty decent Aggro shell right there.

She's also an enabler for some Aristocrats and Tokens strategies as well. Orzhov and Rakdos pairing together seems like a great thing for a go-wide Aggro strategy.

Good point. With the full complement of Shocks available I think that going Jund is just too easy to do now. I still think that a pure Rakdos Aggro list will be the easiest thing to manage. A good list could look something like this (based solely on what's been revealed so far):



This is certainly a rough draft, but the Rix Maadi Reveler and Judith additions are fantastic for what the deck wants to do.

This is indeed very good in rakdos aggro although i might think that it will become jund aggro for status/statue and maybe something like gruul spellbreaker as well.

Both this and goblin chainwhirler combo quite well with status. Goblin chainwhirler for the full plaguewind and this can just take out 2 creatures.

The deck only lacks a really good 1-drop, that might make a green bssed aggro a bit more attractive but i suspect chainwhirler will be strong enough to stay red.

I wanna try her out in Humans. Vialing her in in response to a board wipe could be game winning, and pumping your whole team seems pretty great.

Only problem I see is the extremely fragile body. Give her a 1/4 body and she’s very playable, but the smaller body is more Rakdos admittedly.

Something like this i guess. Although i don't see midnight reaper getting play but gruul spellbreaker instead (better card and more steamkin synergy).
Risk factor i doubt as well (deck too slow with too little burn on for it) but instead just phoenix.
