...and you’re legendary now. How on earth didn’t I register that until now.

I feel like this should be a Vampire Specter, rather than just a plain Vampire. Other than that minor gripe, I love everything about this card.

The lifelink on this card matters a great deal. I'm not entirely certain if this card will impact Standard in an appreciable way, but I like that it puts pressure on an opponent's hand, grows simply by playing a Control strategy, and recovers your life total to close the door against Aggro or Mid-Range strategies.

Is it comparable to the awesomeness of Niv-Mizzet, Parun? I don't think so, but I think that this offers another great finisher for Control strategies in Standard. I think it could easily be built around and incorporated into the Control archetype that is represented in this delightful Standard format.

If nothing else it'll be a brutal curvetopper for discard strategies in standard that will incidentally also just go nucking futs against self-mill decks.
