So many mysteries. What does Spectacle entail? Who is "Judith?" Well, okay, that's only two mysteries.

Basically, yes. Bloodthirst could've been an ability word.

Basically think of it as "bloodthirst and prowl had a baby". (Especially since you can get more for the spectacle cost on some cards, just like with, e.g., prowl.)

You may cast this card for it's spectacle cost rather than its mana cost if an opponent lost life this turn.

So, its kind of like bloodthirst in a way.

I like this for burn. Great card advantage, at spectacle cost, and easy to trigger. And 2 turns to play the cards, sign me up

I like that it gives you two turns. Even if you sort-of whiff and exile two lands, you can theoretically still play both of them.

Could be good enough but it's hard to quantify how much of a drawback the potentially awkward sequencing this card can cause is. It's definitely not just draw 2 for R but it might be close enough to be worth playing. Although I think card drawing in a deck like burn is overrated, burn usually needs to race (card drawing fairly useless) or gets in a situation where many cards are dead (your creatures and lands). A draw two tends to give you not much more action than a simple burn spell right away would have given you for example.

It's pretty hard at this point to find cards to pull from Burn (although certainly easier in Modern than Legacy). I dunno, I'm not convinced this makes the cut.

Oh god, you're right. This should be an immediate staple in Modern burn decks, as more often than not it'll just say "R: Draw two cards."
