If an opponent controls more lands than you, search your library for up to three Plains cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
Card Rulings
8/1/2005 Gift of Estates does nothing if each of your opponents has the same number of lands or fewer as you.
8/1/2005 You can find nonbasic lands if they have the Plains land type, such as dual lands (Tundra, et al).
