In addition to countering burn/life steal storm decks, I feel like this could be a nice addition to give Aetherflux Reservoir decks a bit more reach.

Could also be used vs RDW. They play 2 spells, you gain 9 life in effect countering 2 of them and gaining 3.

It's a storm card, but it's not a possible wincon on its own. It hoses storm, much like Flusterstorm before it. And it's not Standard-legal, so, okay.
