Really should've kept the original Mark Zug art for this since the Judgment version will be much higher in demand. I hate it whenever they ruin a good reprint with crappy artwork.

Your logic is backwards. If you like the old art, the old art still exists. If you don't like the old art, now you have an additional option.

Personally, I dislike the original artwork. That being said, I actually would prefer that they never do new artwork on reprints. Also, a lot of times, you recognize a card by the artwork and it helps you play turns faster.

I don't mean any disrespect toward Alayna Danner, though I felt that the artwork could've been better had they either kept the original artwork or If it was done by someone else. I apologize If you took my "crappy artwork" comment earlier out of context.

No need to get worked up about it, I'm entitled to my own opinion as you are entitled to yours. Just because someone has a different opinion on something than someone else doesn't mean they're trying to offend that person. It means that they're being honest with their thoughts.

True, there's some reprints with better art than the originals although there are some originals that just can't be beat. I feel that the Genesis artwork by Mark Zug is one of those cards at least to me anyway. It hearkens back to the visual effects from the old Ray Harryhausen films such as "Jason and the Argonauts", "Clash of the Titans", and "The Golden Voyage of Sinbad".

I always wished this card had more interaction with Apocalypse. Sort of a bookends thing.

Sweet! I love this card and I really want to make some grindy value engine in modern with it. The new art is pretty sweet, definitely a different energy and feel but I like it a lot.
