Commander staple. Sweeper of choice for and against token decks. Against, obviously, but token decks get to mitigate the impact of wiping their board when they need to deal with multiple problems on the other side. Probably good in standard as well as gaining a few points back might make up for waiting the extra turn to wrath.

Well, technically, Wrath also doesn't allow them to generate. Not a big deal in standard, yet, but in Commander it can make a difference to bury stuff. I agree though, the life gain in Commander is welcomed.

Probably the sweeper of choice in Standard.

Will be sad when you tap out to cast this and the opponent casts Avacyn.. but, unless their is a new 'languish', that's the world we are in.

Casting this when someone has mana up for Avacyn would be pretty foolish considering the obvious interaction between the two cards.
