Oh snap. I mean aside from the card draw, which could be relevant, infinite obliteration for walkers, enchantments, instants, and sorceries. It's a sideboard must for black in standard I would think.

The draw clause annoys me. Memoricide effects are never good, but since it's disruption, Wizards has to nerf it anyway.

You can target yourself with this... Remove cards in your deck that are useless against your current opponent, and draw cards as well.

Against the opponent, I'm not sure this is one of the better versions of this effect. Maybe for 1 mana cheaper it would be.

I like it. I can't wait for this set to come out. So many unique effects.

Hmm... Relentless Rat decks are now combo decks, maybe?

I really hate cards like this, and I think it's a type of design that needs to go away fast. It's anti-fun. "Oh, you know that really cool card you just got? You don't get to play with it." It doesn't matter if it's a good or bad card. This thing is going to hit Chandra, Torch of Defiance every time, for instance, and then you get the "joy" of just having to get rid of all your cool stuff. The 3 CMC is just more infuriating because it's so cheap.

That is true, but in a Standard environment, something like this is a guaranteed way to remove all the most fun cards.

Yes i agree with your point about the "chandra's" i play red ALOT and black. Im just trying to say if you make up your own unique deck of the what... 1,500 dif cards in standard the possibilities of guessing a card you have 4 of during the first of three games is very hard. Yes u will reveal some cards before its cast, but it doesnt mean you have 4 copies in your deck. I understand it as a sideboard nussience and agree with you on that

It's a cheap and easy way to not have to deal with the most popular cards in the set, at the least. The effect frustrates me to no end. For instance, as soon as someone sees you running red, you can bet they're going to get rid of every copy of Chandra you have for 3 mana. It's just not a fun effect.

Not in our play environment. If you're up against strangers it might a problem, but for your circles at home, it'd be pretty easy to guess. You can always do it after the player plays one card, if you suspect (or know) they have others.

That's what it's like when it's being used badly. When it's being used well it just destroys very narrow combo decks and stays in the sideboard otherwise. It's a lot less brutal than other cards in this vein when you have the named card in hand

They don't help players create their own unique decks, since everyone's going to be running cards from the same sets, and obviously the popular ones will be seen in more games. This card is equally usable on any deck the instant you see what colors they're running, regardless of whether or not it's copycat. It takes little thought, rather than counterplaying the cards or dealing with them.

I disagree, cards like this help players have to make their OWN unique decks, instead of copying the latest tourny winner's. If your Meta is full of copy cat players (which i hate) you can study the top decks and mainboard 4 of these to get rid of their main threats.

I would never want to draw my opponent four cards for this. But draw four for yourself for 3 sounds pretty good. Exile something like Ponder that acts like padding anyway.

It says -ANY COPY- so you don't have to remove all. Actually if you screw up and miss a copy they get to keep it. So there is that variability to this. I know because i've done it with infinite obliteration.

The target player only gets to draw if cards in their hand get exiled. Your opponent would only draw four cards if all four copies of the names card were in their hand, and you chose to exile them. Same goes for you; you have to actually exile cards in your hand to draw extra cards.

Also, drawing four cards for three mana isn't "pretty good", that would be broken.
