MTG Salvation

I dig it as a big Dinosaur finisher, though not sure how usable it'll be. Still, it seems like these colors will be pretty decent for getting big bodies out, so maybe it'll be worthwhile. Since I intend to find a way to make a Dinosaur Modern deck work, having a game-finishing sweeper as an option may come in handy.

This card is a lot like Myojin of Cleansing Fire, and it trades the divinity counter functionality (and the ability to wait to use the ability, a very good part of the ability) for some stats. I guess you can get more mileage out of this by having other dinosaurs in play to attack with, but that seems like a joke to me.

I don't know how usable it'll be, but it seems like the colors here will be pretty good for speeding up an 8 CMC card. If you could drop this, say, turn 6, and have several Dinosaurs out already, a one-sided board sweep that also leaves you with an 7/7 on top of other creatures isn't terrible. Depends on what kind of ramp is available (for Standard), but Modern has a few options. After all, since birds are dinosaurs, I plan to run Birds of Paradise with my Dinosaurs.

And now I have a one-sided Wrath on a stick for my Dino Tribal Commander deck!

This set is the most I've been excited for Magic since Zendikar.
