Browbeat is always a contentious effect. While you never get the one you want against an opponent who is sitting pretty, standard red decks do put on serious pressure, and maybe browbeating your opponent for cards twice is actually pretty good. Being able to cast this from the graveyard in exchange for a land if it randomly ends up there is solid too.

Almost strictly better Browbeat.

This thing really does blow Browbeat away. You deal one less damage and in exchange, it's an Instant. That's tremendous. And as a bonus, it's got Jump-Start.

And, if you're playing some sort of multiplayer format, it's even better as you get to choose which player gets a choice. Although, you can't let your partner draw cards with it.
