Like are yall even paying attention to the spoilers? Their mechanic is putting counters on creatures with lesser power, this is a double striker with trample, at 1/1 for 2 mana. Meaning that everything is going to be bigger then it, and mentor will trigger on it, making it a very big trample double striker very fast.

Agreed! Why would a 1/1 have trample anyway? Sure red gets trample on big creatures but it could be that they tried this card with haste and it was way too powerful? Why not lifelink then? lol

It should be haste instead of trample.

I almost want to say that Boros Swiftblade is the better card, but vigilance is so good on this type of thing, as is trample. I was really hoping they would print a 1 cmc double striker that could actually match the infect clock for boros decks.
